New website

As you all can see we've just released our new website. We'd like to know what things people think should be added (pages, decoration, etc) and what they like and don't like about the current website.
Please note this website is still in beta, so there will be quite some changes before it is finished.

One of the things I've heard a lot is the fact that people don't like the white background (behind the modules, exclusing the header and the menu)
We would like a background for it, but we simply don't have anything qualified at the moment, if there are any suggestions feel free to comment below.

The things I'd most likely want to change are that background, and the "EMPIRE WAR" header on top of the page.
You're allowed to make a new "EMPIRE WAR" header and post it here, and if we think it fits better than the current one we may use that.

Make a "Maps" tab that goes to a page with simple maps of the maps, with gates, capture points and spawnpoints marked.
It's great that you've created a Global Discussion forum, since Minecraft and Non-Minecraft allows off-topic, and that you have seperate suggestions for LMS and LS.

This is actually one of the ideas I had, creating a "Siegemaps" one, a "LMSmaps" one and a "LSmaps one", but it requires a huge amount of time seeing the amount of flags, maps and everything we have.
Other than that I doubt anyone would actually read those pages.

Lengthen the ''latest thread'' box again, we're, as community, quite busy on the forums ;P

I added a Hot Threads one instead of the 5 spaces I removed, this should keep the important threads visible even if there hasn't been posted in for a while, and the less important ones still in the other 10 spots.

We don't feel like it is too necessary to make stats visible on the website atm.

Good job on adding the ''Hot Threads'', but I still feel like we need 15 spaces for ''Latest Threads''. Quite a lot of suggestions will get lost, especially the ones who don't get attention. (Which they might deserve.

That's why people should post on suggestions they like saying they like them, to get more attention (and make them more visible for us).

We're still working on getting staff active and maybe new staff, so that should make losing good suggestions less common as well.

Nah, expand the box. You've got loads of space, and it's just gonna get messy if everyone says "I like this".

maybe new staff

It's not about space. It's about getting only recent and popular/important threads visible, which atm is the top 15 (which is plenty imo)

Oh my god.. you just made me spit my drink all over the place.
Congratulations.

Now let me clean this mess up...

...you know that awesome button called "unread posts" ?
Best button. No size limit, shows you only what you've missed since your last visit on that very page, in the order of what topic was updated last.

Learn to use it, it's on every forum all over internet, and it's the best feature that exists.
