Ok first of all this goes to KingJoeseph1st of this amazing idea that I will copy and paste now:
I'd love to see a server with some kind of small map, e.g. 1000 by 1000, where people are given creative to fly and build fortresses.

They have a couple of days to build a fortress, on their own or in a group with others.

On the final day, the admins unleash a mob siege like never before, and it's the fight of their lives to defend their keeps.

Also theres things like tsunamis and poison gas and meteorites.

THAT WOULD BE FUN!

If this happenes, maybe it could be a weekly event, it would be amazing to see this happen.

If this actually does happen, I would be happy and surpirsed like others, so hopefully the staff see this!

It's a great idea that I've actually wanted to try in Minecraft before. Make it just a few hours, though; a few days seems a bit long.

Also perhaps code it so that the mob hordes can do stuff to take down your fortress (kinda like in the Invasion Mod)? That way people can't just build completely unreachable defenses and then survive indefinitely.

We had similar thing in build server today, but our castle was nowhere as good against mobs as Cair was.
