New Sharpshoot Record: 9005 Blocks!

My 226 is legit.

Also long distance sniping is different from short distance archery. They require different attributes and also different people can be good at different things.

115.8 is mine - and is unlikely to get higher.
and ~116 i can still aim (sort of) but over that it is a lucky hit that requires no skill (unless you meant to hit someone)

I was on the top of minas tirith and i saw a big group player under me.
So i shot 280 blocks far.

My first sharpshoot record was 220 and wasnt legit cause i asked someone to be down at main gate of tirith and stand at the spot where I am aiming for. Then i fired from the rock.

I did the same. But I knew exactly where the mordor would be taking cover and so I didnt have to ask anyone :D I actually killed one guy I forgot who XD

'no ligit' means you aim for a player with their help and getting tp'ed when you fire a shot.

so has anyone got a decent record WITHOUT any help? (apart from Lord_Sauron_)

I got 321.73 by getting tpd with rohirrim charge, it wasn't supposedly, so it's fair.
I was just fighting, shot an arrow and then I got tpd away.
I was confused and then it said I had a 321.73 ssr :D

As said before me with 226. Same with Mark but his is 280.

I can quite reliably snipe targets less than 100 blocks away or 120 blocks (If shooting down) if they are stationary and if I have the leisure of time.

Mine is 223 legit Minas Tirith, and 184 legit Helms Deep, both hit the target while moving.

Note: Arrows shot from a fully charged bow i a 45 degree angle will start to fall straight after 120 meters, this means:
  • That you can only hit things from straight above
  • That you can't be 100% sure to hit from that distance, no way. Two arrows shot from the same position never hit the exact same spot. It's in minecraft, it's natural. If you shoot straight up, you can see that the arrows will only hit you rarely, and sometimes they will even be too far away for you to pick up. And by the way, shooting in exactly 45 degrees is almost impossible without a mod telling you how much you're angling your bow.
  • That that and above can't be done with a single arrow on porpuse, you need a decent bit of luck.
