Anrza trolls can get down from jumping off the towers into the water. (You should know that as one of the oldhmmest a and most skilled players here) same as orcs, moguls, etc. Also that fact that all the orcs camp at the ram and sometime trolls too. Then the archers snipe most of them soldiers before they get to the ram. The ones who do get destroyed by the trolls and orcs. Make the water poisonous for orcs, not soldiers, or else no secret path.
I think that it should be made that defenders go outside. In any of the actually battles, leaving the castle would mean instant death. It's especially bad in Minas Morgul when people are non stop jumping down into the water. This means that the gate never gets rammed, and people just find away to ladder up instead.
