How do you think you can contribute to our server?: I think i can contribute to this server by helping every single individual on here. I think this server is great and I can help you out up to my limits. I have much experience in plugins and setting up a server than in being a staff member. Although my skills are legendary to most, i am still more experienced in that tab. I can act fast with anything and know exactly what to do. I think the biggest thing i can do for this server is if or when i get a high rank, I will set up everything and be at your service whenever you need me. I will put every single part of my effort into this because it is a big deal for me. And what I can do for your server will make you love me. Earlier this week i went on a server and applied. It was a prison server (Not listing the IP) and set up literally everything. I know almost every plugin that you can possibly have on a server, and i hope to use that knowledge only for good. I am very good with plugin configs, but not creating a plugin. The reason i want to become a rank is because on the very first server that i had gotten admin on, i LOVED it. I helped out so many people and helped the owner a lot too.
The owner's name was CzE and his server was called ZombieTimeNetwork (Was taken down 2 years ago due to joining another server). It is down now as it was nearly 4 years ago i got that staff. I had done so much for him and donated 30 dollars for
a host that he made me networkadmin (superadmin). Then after a long time of doing work he made me owner with him for how much trust i had and how much i had done for him. Staff makes me feel
very nice and when i help with being staff, it makes my heart grow big. Being staff is the world for me. I have been staff uncountable times and all the times they have loved me being on their
staff team. I think i could do so much with your server and get so many people on. I am a great staff member and always respond with good grammar and polite words. I never troll, or do anything bad.
I honestly don't like it when staff members spawn everything they can and make a base with W-E (world edit). The amount of times i have been staff on servers has given me so much experience with commands and plugins.
CzE was a coder, and knew a lot of html and java. He still does today. He tought me so much things about config and databases and everything. I know how to be a good staff member, and I hope you can see that.. Thank you for reading this super long set of words to show
how much i love being staff and love helping players.

- I also stayed up all night and spent 45 hours in 3 days on their server and stayed up most of the nights.

What do you offer than others can't?: To be honest, in this situation, i'm fine with whichever one is good. If the other person's application is better than mine, so be it. I would rather the better person be a staff
member on your server. Now don't get my wrong, I want to get staff to help out, but i also want the best for the server. If you think they are better at being a staff member than me, it won't hurt my feelings to hear the truth.
Now let's be honest here, this application is going to be better than any book n' quill application you have ever seen. Whether it's his application, or mine, they will both still benefit the server. I can guarantee you that I
will make this server go to it's max potential. If at any point you don't feel comfortable for me, you can demote or even ban me. It is fine with me as long as I got to help out a growing server maintain it's best position. Well, i know almost every single plugin and can act in a matter of seconds in banning or whatever is needed on your server. I offer many things, which were explained throughout the application. Now, this does not mean that i can always do better than them. If their application took over 2 hours like mine and has this much effort, then so be it. He can take my rank.

What experience do you have in being staff?: I have been staff countless times because i when i apply, i make sure that the application is good. If i were to count, it would be over 15 times because of all the servers i have applied in the past 5 servers.
My experience with plugins and config is truly amazing, and so is my experience with commands. I know exactly what to do in many situation of being a staff member which are going to be listed down below.
I look up to CzE, and he looks down to me with amazement on how much i have learned. He has thought me everything i know and i will no disappoint you with anything i do as a staff member. I have dedicated over 6k hours into minecraft itself. If you check something it will say near that amount.

Do you/have you owned any servers before? (Don't include IP): Yes, i have owned 3 servers before. They are all down due to funding and lack of players. I have a lot of experience in owning servers/owning servers with someone.

How much time do you dedicate to the server and forums every day?: I go on the forums once maybe every 30 minutes, I will be honest I do not usually like forum checking, but hey, it helps the server so I will do what you want.

Will you start dedicating more time to us?: Yes, very much so that

SCENARIO : "You come home from school and have ton of homework to do, you think to yourself I'll just take a 5 minute break before I start and get on Envy Plague. The next thing you know 2 hours have passed and you've been on the server all that time." Does this scenario sound familiar to you? - How do you respond to this?: This happens sometimes, as i am dedicated, but not always. School is very important, and yes, more important than your server because it is a thing in life that gets you somewhere. I will only take homework time if something has happened that needs it.

Are you able to record?: Yes, and i have an old channel with 68 subscribers with over 6k total views.

Additional Info - I love any type of server. I can enjoy life on prison, minigames, factions, hub, you name it! I love being staff and it hits my heart and makes it grow a lot. There are some downsides to being staff for me as I
have anxiety problems and i go crazy, breathe heavily and fling my hands excitement all the time. I also have adhd so i need to be doing things and talking and everything. With this i cannot sit still, and am always sweating
due to something new and exiting happening. I hope you don't mind if i go crazy some times with excitement, as it is normal and i will try to mute my mioc and not yell. I'm not going to say I am "10/10 mature" because we all have
those moments where we mess around. But if something serious is happening, my serious face goes into action. My favorite type of minecraft server is factions, and i have always played that. Although i have ranks on a lot of
minigames and hub servers, it is still my favorite server type default, donor rank, or staff no matter what. I play a lot of other games as well such as rust, and garry's mod. I have nearly 120 total days put into garry's mod (2982 hours) I have played on the server for a while now and I have seen the punishment given for certain offences. I believe I am prepared to deal with those offences and prevent them from happening. I know how to act and play fair. I am generally well liked by players . Although you may not see me interact in chat a lot I am constantly aware of what is being said and can respond to a situation quickly if need be. I have had a great time on this server and I would like to start helping out other players as I have been helped. I talk to people a lot with my job so I know how to defuse tense situations and handle angry and disruptive people. Whether they are angry or not I can usually calm them down and figure out what is wrong and try and fix the problem. If you accept me I will dedicate myself to helping other players [friend or not] and uphold the rules.

Situations:

A hacker comes on and starts using kill aura and starts flying.

A-He gets reported by a person
-I would go into /v and tpo to him and watch for anything suspicious, if not found, no ban. If he is found guilty of hacking i would ban him for 30 days for the reason "Killaura/Forcefield -- Appeal at {Website}"
B-I see him hacking or he trying to hack onto me
-I would immediately take action with a ban (if i can sincerely prove it) with the same reason above.
-If i cannot prove it, i watch him some more and prove it then and ban for same reason.
2=
A spammer/troller comes on to mess with people

A-I would ask him why he is spamming
-If he does not answer, i will mute him for 10 minutes for reason "Spamming"
-If he continues i will ban for 1 hour for "Spamming x2 -- Appeal at {Website}"
-If he responds but does not say a legitimate answer, i will mute for 15 minutes for "Spamming/Lying To Staff"
-If he continues i will ban for 1 hour for "Spamming x2/Lying To Staff -- Appeal at {Website}"
-If He responds with a good reason, i will then find out more into it and mute if needed.
3=
If a person comes on and asks within the first 10 seconds of playing "Can i apply for mod" I will simply tell him how and what the requirements are.
4=
If a person comes on and says "Give me mod" I will say "No, you must apply for staff at {website}"
5=
If someone comes on and threatens to ddos the server i will immediately take screenshots, and ban him permanently for "DDoS Threats -- Appeal at {Website}"
That is all and i hope you take this application into thought, because this took 1 hour to make! :)
 
Welp, here at EW folks don't apply for staff and are rather chosen. Not to mention only a handful are chosen as this server dedicates itself to quality over quantity. Never been a application page and probably never will be. Not a bad application though, but if I were you I'd just keep playing this server for the next few months; as you are new enough (not insulting) and probably wouldn't be socially accepted.
 
I smell bullshit being born in 2001 August makes you 15?

Anyway what made you think you could apply for staff, who the hell even are you?

I like the wits. At least he's got the balls to try an application. Though the sad truth is he'll never be accepted into staff.
 
First off. in order to become mod you must be unique to the server. like arak and his catness or mr cookie and his derpyness.

second off people need to suggest you in the god-forbid server needs more staff threads, you then must say that your offended that they would suggest such a thing as its up to sjoerdtim (or something along those lines).

third you gotta get seen on a top list when sjoerdtim checks to make sure his lazyness made him not number one on the list so he can edit the config file to display him at the top, like on /topkills for example.

fourth you gotta dedicate your soul to EW, 3000+ posts is a decent amount on forums, spend all day everyday of summers on EW, then still spend a decent amount during winters. Should be getting like 12 hours a day during summer, at least 3 during winter. having a donor rank helps to, but make sure its not king or sage as that makes him think your a spoiled brat somehow, so legend or veteran is probably best.

fifth you gotta be a casual hacker catcher (maybe 1 per 2 weeks).

sixth you gotta always take sjoerdtims side in a non-fanboy way, and never ever post on suggestion threads or make them.

eighth you need to build stuff on build and then give sjoerdtim all the credit by going to his afk corner and telling him that the build he just built is awesome (even though u built it).

ninth remember that all this must have the feeling of you really doing it out of the kindness of your heart.

and even then you still might not get staff. btw making this thread makes staff not take you serious as they do not like applications.

this is just what I have observed from how sjoerdtim/staff picks other people to be staff, this information may or may not be correct as there is no way to prove it incorrect or correct currently.

First of all, here at EW we don't use applications to fill our staff ranks. We fill our ranks with players who the staff team and the community knows. As I personally don't know you, and by the sight of it, neither does anyone else who already replied to the topic, I fear that you won't stand a chance against players who I would consider as staff. The owner, Sjoerdtim, is very precise in who he chooses to become a staff member, and I can tell by first-handed experience, that it's difficult for even a renowned player to achieve a staff rank. If you'd continue your interest into becoming a staff member of EW, I would suggest playing and socializing on the server and discussing potential suggestions on the forums for the next couple of months, to get yourself known by the staff team and the community.

Now I wouldn't mind discussing your application:
- Don't say you've never been banned if you have been banned before. I copied your appeal into google, and found a similiar appeal made by you, where you did state you've been banned before. It's better to admit to minor offences than saying you've never been banned before, if that would be a lie. This is because, especially staff teams, value honesty, and lying would weaken your appeal, even if it's just small lie :)
- If you were born on the 23th of August in the year 2001, you would be around 14.5 years old, not 15. It's better to say 'I'm almost 15 years old' than say you're already 15 years old even though the date you provided states that that isn't true.
- You don't really go into detail with your skills. You give us a global sketch, but that's it. Example: You state that you set a website and plugins. You should've shown us the website and/or a list of those plugins (with information about them, why you added them, etc).

- One more thing about skills: this is a siege server. Staff teams of siege servers are more interested in skills like spotting hacks, which is just one example of a skill you should've highlighted more.
- ''I honestly don't like it when staff members spawn everything they can and make a base with W-E (world edit). '' Not relevant, we're a siege server, you should try to find an example of staff abuse that relates to a siege server :P
- Stress your activity more. Great that you're so dedicated, but being able to be very active is a good skill, and you should emphasize that :)

- The paragraph of ''What do you offer than others can't?'' is vague, and not really related. Emphasize your skills more, give us a good summary.
- Overall grammar and lay-out. Make your text a bit more interesting by using bold texts to highlight important points or paragraphs. Also, the more use of grammar, the more professional you look, because you spend more time writing and attention on your application (and it's a lot nicer to read!).
- ''How many applications have you made for Envy Plague so far?: None.'' This makes us think you've just copied your application that you used for another server. Stress your importance to EW in particular, not every potential server out there. Make the server you apply to for as staff feel more special.

- Cool that you give us a list of games you've played, but it isn't that relevant. Just say you've a passion for games, most of us do as well :)
- Don't forget the server for which you are applying to its regulations. Here at EW, we directly ban them permanently, and if they appeal, their ban will lifted or shortened (that depends on the appeal). It's good to give your opinion on what a fair judgement may be, but don't forget to say the server's regulations. That tells them you know the rules :)
- Filter out questions that don't matter (since we don't have template for apply, and thus you can make up your own questions) like ''How many applications have you made for Envy Plague so far?'' and ''What is the date of the last application you made?''.

Hope I helped with my critism, most of luck applying for another server, or most of fun with playing on our server :)
