VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Hopefully the latter, If you have the mercy in your heart to forgive me... Master" Iver said and bowed.

"The trickster was the one who freed Aule, however he did this before meeting up with Morgoth. Aule even confronted Morgoth and allowed me and Mineltar to escape"

Dimitri looked with some relief at the sudden change of his comrade. He seemed to be more hopeful, a welcome sign to him. And the Elves relieved him even more. Finally, competent warriors. But he would have to be wary of what he said and did. Seeing a huge man with a magic warhammer was unnerving to some.

Before a half-an-hour passed, Aranel started to come to.

"Huh-wher-oh," She glanced up at Thoruk through bloodshot eyes. "Hey. How long has it been?" She touched her forehead lightly.

-------------------

Morgoth blinked. "You are truly pathetic." He said to Iver.

-----------------

"The Trickster freed Aule then joined the Enemy and Aule opposed both?" Manwe's voice had a hint of incredulity.

--------------------

"I shall not give a single individual the location to both. Not at once. Make a choice, Cardiloc. Do you seek Aranel or the Silmaril that Maedhros cast with himself into the very foundations of Arda?" Mandos delivered him an ultimatum.

Cardiloc paused for a moment, he knew that it would be very difficult to convince Aranel to give up protecting both Laurel and the Silmaril; while the earth Silmaril was fair game, throw in the risk of a gruesome death of course. “The latter, Lord Mandos.” He answered hesitantly.

"Excellent choice. However, it shall be a much harder game." Mandos' features did not change as he japed. "Maedhros' Silmaril is buried under the Beleger."

12700073

“Buried... beneath the sea?” Cardiloc scratched his head. “Alright, okay. I’ll just need to find a way to get down beneath the surface of the sea, where exactly is it located?” He continued.

"Do you require to view the exact destination or would you prefer a map?" Mandos asked dryly. He was already beginning to regret aiding another Karoltai in their pursuits. Ever since he convinced Keldar to give up the Warrior to Ha'zi...

Without a word, Mandos touched Cardiloc and they both traveled through space to the exact location. Cardiloc found himself floating in space, below him was a vast ocean and before he could say, think or do anything else he tumbled down towards the rising waves.

"Hmm? Oh." Mandos raised his hand and Cardiloc stopped falling. He slowly began to rise back up.

“Thanks, I just need to find a way through the water.” Card pondered for a moment, looking over at Mandos. “The elemental shifter, Thoruk the dwarf, I don’t know how powerful he is right now, but perhaps he may help me in this regard. Do you know where he is?”

Mandos raised a skeptical eye. "Ironic you ask such a thing. He is with the holder of the other Silmaril."

12700073

"There is a way..." Mandos mused. "Yet it requires a great cost."

12700073

"I cannot tell you for if I do, you will attempt to prevent this cost and in doing so incur an ever greater price. Now, if you make this choice, you shall gain two of the fabled silmarils, however, you will lose. And that loss shall be hefty. Now I ask. Do you accept this price?"
