VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

The Guardian Giant's shifter's neck broke with a slight CROOK. Ha'zi saw the tattoo on the back of her shoulder, a hammer, begin to burn. On the back if Sigeric's shoulder the mark began to form. His body healing, the spike automatically being ejected from it. The Dalishman was now one of them. The Guardian Giant. Whether against his will or played into his hands, he was forever changed. The battle was over. Now to return.

Would Cardiloc and Ha'zi carry their unconscious friend over to the others? Would they leave behind the remains of Eonwë? Would they give the Guardian Shifter a proper burial?

---------------

The Whipper curled his whip and lashed it against Celeste's back again. "Really? And what are you going to do, you filthy barbarian northman."
Celeste glanced up at Dimitri, her mouth had been gagged but he saw the desperate look on her face, the tears in her eyes, the blood on her whipped back, it all reminded himself of him. How could they be so cruel? So in just? How could they think to torment Celeste, whom Dimitri had protected previously on-board? How dare they.

The other slavers tensed. There were many of them. At least twenty. Possibly more hidden in the jungle around the melon patch. Captain Kel held most of the hostages like Frieda and Victas near her. They were bound and gagged like Celeste except not so badly wounded.

The memory of Celeste's haunted look would be forever burned into Dimitri's mind.

"Yeah, keep, watching. I know this one is special to you, one-arm savage." The Whipper said, raising his whip again to strike Celeste's back. Cardiloc watched Ha'Zi hold up the shifter by her neck, and winced as Ha'zi killed her with a sickening crunch. "A-Are we done here," Cardiloc breathed out and looked up at Ha'Zi himself leaning onto his spear for support, then back at Sigeric's body. The dunlending lumbered over and hauled the Dalish Man over his shoulder. His eyes settled on Eonwe, this had been his fault if only he just hadn't shifted back...

"This is not the time to rest Iver, the lava is coming and like it or not you killed all of the giants. So get your lazy ass up and return help the group" Vlad said to Iver. "Fine" Iver said, picking his things up and walked toward where everyone went.

Daugo's vision blurs for a moment as he realizes what they've gotten into again. Then, something strange happens.

How would that woman's blood feel gushing out at him from a freshly-made wound on her neck from the shark-tooth knife that had slain her comrade? The thought was not only comforting, it was... Pleasing.

A crooked smile appears on Daugo's face, regardless of the horror. These people are, quite simply, walking corpses.

The Warrior nods to Cardiloc, and gathers the remains of the Herald, cupped in his hands. He begins walking to find the others.

Ha'zi was still in his damaged Warrior Giant. The arrow was still in his eye, there was a giant shard of that spike pierced through his chest and he was a bit tired. Ha'zi also noticed that Cardiloc was attempting to catch up to him but since he was a Giant it was nearly impossible. He could pick up Cardiloc and Sigeric with his other hand.

------------

Iver walked out into the melon patch, behind the slavers. He had gotten a bit lost. Captain Kel turned to see him, "Oh, hi, Vlad." she said, smiling at him.

"Why, why, are you happy, pygmy pixie?" The Whipper asked, seeing Daugo smirking. "Want to get beat again? I knew you were into that." The Whipper began to walk towards them. A couple of slavers also began to converge upon them.

Osk took pulled a spear from his back, Sam and Silesia were holding each other, defenseless. Dimitri saw Margoz who was next to them carrying his warhammer.

Illmare, Thoruk and Marco walked onto the scene, behind Dimitri and Daugo. Grimnir also turned up with them.
"What the fack." Marco said, seeing his friends tied down and beaten.

Illmare's eyes began to glow, faintly, as she walked forward to Daugo's side,
"Do you want me to eradicate them or do you prefer this to be a team effort?"

"Vlad do you know her?" Iver said while looking at his friend. He was so confused that he didnt even bother to pull out his weapons.

Ha'zi pauses the giant for a second as he notices Cardiloc trying hard to keep up. So, he slows down and offers his hand to the Dunlending.

"I think we all are much too tired to deal with them. Would you mind eradicating them please? But keep the one with the whip alive, if you will. Oh, and the captain." Dimitri replies. "I have a grudge to settle with him."

Cardiloc laid Sigeric down and headed back to fetch the halberd quickly picking it up near the guardian giants carcass. He ran back to Ha'zi, huffing as he attempted to catch up. "You could put me on your shoulder." He suggested to the Haradrim giant.

"Oh, but, Iver, I know you." Kel said, winking at him. Iver saw a faint gleam in her eyes before it disappeared. "Just a sec."

Ilmare's hands began to exude light, an unnatural bright glow. She walked forward, "Fine. Cover your eyes. Roui, Kariontur, Sailorumweikandurimor." she said, raising her hands at the slavers. There was a pause. Then the slavers around them began to fall to the ground, wailing, scratching and clawing at their faces. The Whipper and Captain Kel were the only ones unaffected as their comrade's eyes began to burn and their bodies slowly disintegrated. Nineteen dead slavers lay burned in heaps of ash beneath their feet.

"Well, shit." The Whipper said.

----------------------

At that point Ha'zi, Cardiloc and the unconscious Sigeric reached the jungle. Ha'zi would need to disembark from his Giant form if he was to continue.

"The North remember, Whipper. It remembers every lash, every drop of blood, and now you will suffer for it." Dimitri said. He approached the Whipper with warhammer ready and swung it at his left leg.

The Whipper dodged, backward, slinging his whip at Dimitri's face.

"Iver, you really think I'm Cap Kel? I mean, the disguise is working and all but honestly with the amount of crazed nonsense you've been through I assumed you'd realize who I was. I'm a special entity who's taken an interest in you and your friends. I'm quite intrigued by the narrative you're in and I'm almost willing to help you out, not that I could, whilst you're trapped on the Island. So, I'll give you a chance to guess who I am. If you're correct I'll help you. If you're not then I guess we'll have to see where the road takes you, Iver." Kel said.

Iver thought for a minute. "You said that you are here to help me, so you cant be one of those maiar" he said. "But i do remember a single guy claiming that he wants to help us, and then hurt us. You are the voice from the bat cave!" He said. "Mister of the tricks!".

He lightly moves his hands down at an angle so that Cardiloc and Sigeric can get off, while he puts Eonwe's remains nearby. Now, Ha'zi tries to free himself from the neck of the Warrior.

Ha'zi felt the skin inside the Giant's neck part, allowing him to remove himself from its nape. He could slide down the arm of the Warrior Giant and land next to Cardiloc and Sigeric. Behind them was the valley, now covered over by dark lava which cooled and condensed over the ruins of Aldamos. The city was sunken beneath the magma and all its dead too.

---------------

"Awake." A voice chimed into existence. Sigeric's eyes opened to the blue sky. But he wasn't on the island anymore. He was in a golden field. Around him were dead bodies of creatures he faintly recognized. Orcs, trolls, men, whatnot scattered about the field in scores. He saw the faint outline of a dark figure, tall and wreathed in shadows ahead of him. He was fighting a large beast. One of the Giants. The dark figure was tiny in comparison but his strikes brought down the Giant. He saw him rip out the Giant Shifter and bring a blade to his throat.

"This is what must happen." The voice interrupted the fight.
"So much death. So much suffering. It cannot be helped. This is the only way forward for Ea. You wonder what I am attempting to do by showing you this, Sigeric. I understand you. In many ways we are alike. Sadly, you will come to know that fighting against your destiny is futile. I cannot help you or your friends but if you wish to freedom you must slay the last of the Giants. Otherwise, it shall free Morgoth and he shall bring about the end of times. Your friends shall die, your family shall die, Arda itself shall be cast into shadow unless you slay the Behemoth Giant. That is the mission I am entrusting you with, Sigeric. The fate of Ea rests in your hand. The fate of the world. Save them, Sigeric. Save them all."

Sigeric saw the dark figure slit the throat of the Giant Shifter and toss him to the ground. His eyes narrowed on the Shifter's face to see his own features staring back at him. He was seeing his own death. The dark figure turned around and saw Sigeric then began walking towards him. Before Sigeric could do anything else, ask any questions, flee from the dark figure, the world collapsed in on itself and everything went to black.

------------

Sigeric awoke in Cardiloc's arms, his wounds having healed.

-----------

"Bravo, bravo!" Kel said, her body changing form to that of a rather short man. He was 5'10 and had dashing brown hair. He wore a brown tunic, brown pants, a coat-jacket over his tunic and had no visible armor. He lacked facial hair and slowly strode up to address them all.
"Hey, there. Trickster. Missed me?"

The Whipper's whip missed Dimitri's face by an inch and a sudden gasp halted his advance. Grimnir's axe was lodged in the slaver's chest, penetrating his lungs. The man crumpled to his knees, clutching the axe, blood pooling out of his mouth as he struggled to breath.

Illmare's eyes circled on the Trickster. "You!" she said infuriated.
"Me!" He smiled back at her, lifting his hand and clicking his fingers together.
"Bye, bye, Illmare."

The female Maia's body hit the ground like a freight train. Completely knocked out in an instantanoues blast.

"Now, that, we're alone," the Trickster coughed, waving his hand over the ground, the earth shook and they all watched as the slavers, the injured survivors, the Whipper and even Illmare disappeared. They were now alone in the jungle with the Trickster.
"Time for an exposition scene."
