The longbows were far too large for any of them to carry, the wooden arrows like spears to them. Ha'zi saw that Iver had already taken that book.
As Thoruk opened the last door they all stumbled into the hallway and they saw it all.
The animal heads, the ornaments, the paintings. They saw pictures of the Trickster. Towards one end of the hallway near the front door and open area were pictures of him with a huge group of people, towards the middle were those of him with a golden-haired woman, at the center were those of him with a baby girl with golden locks of hair, the next ones were of him alone with a young boy pointing at a fish of some sort, then they saw him alone hunting animals and slaying them with gruesome images of him with the kills, and lastly towards the end of the hallway near two wooden double-doors were pictures of him alone, the Trickster, smiling in all his annoying glory. It was as if a piece of the puzzle was dropped on their heads. Yet none of it made sense. Or, maybe it was all a rouse. To delay them. Nevertheless, something drew their attention.
A shout from down the hallway, coming from behind the wooden double-doors.
