VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Oh shit" Iver thought to himself as the maia charged at him, he had no chance of fighting them all. But he did have a chance of......
He ran away, pretending that his left arm and wing are hurt. Allowing the attackers to slowly close the distance.

He would lookat her and at his closed fist, why would she want him to do that? He didn't have any powers that responded to the earth or any specific location, he brought up his knowledge from the island and couldn't pick out anything remarkable. Spreading his fingers he would examine his hand, heavily calloused from the countless years of forging. Taking a deep breath he would lay his palm onto the ground, gripping any loose soil and rocks. "Trust" he thought, snorting, a hard thing to come across these days.

"ARRGH!" The Sentinel grunted, turning around and stabbing his sword into Cardiloc, raising the young Dunlending high into the air and throwing him off the bridge. Dimitri's hammer strike smashed the Sentinel's helmet and the Maia groaned. Ha'zi saw his best friend get sent to his death whilst he tried to protect his oh so precious books. Thoruk witnessed it too so did Dimitri. Elladan slid next to the Sentinel's leg and cut open the back of his knee, slicing through his hamstrings before taking an arrrow and shoving it into the Sentinel's other armpit.

The Sentinel fighting Sigeric brought his sword down and missed the Dalishman. The Sentinel threw his weapon at Sigeric and charged the man full on, sprinting across the bridge at him.

From the bell tower, Deslan saw a dozen fresh Sentinels engaging the giant bat. The bat was completely taken unprepared by them. He saw the bat running away like an idiot. The Maiar took the bait and continued to charge, racing after the Flying Giant.

Cardiloc felt the wind rush past him as he fell, the blood gush through his body, he was going to die. He felt it. But he needed to save his friends. To save his family. To save the world. Then he felt time begin to slow. The droplets of water from the falls cascading in slow motion as he fell. What was this? Then he felt it. The transformation...

"Do you feel it?" Azura asked him. "The ground? The heat? The forge? Do you feel the metal? The ores? Everything beneath the earth? Do you feel Aule's power in it? Search Pyrus, search deeply. Use your mind. Focus on the one thing you remember the most from Aule's teachings? From your time in Valinor? FOCUS!" Azura ordered Pyrus. He slowly felt it...

As the got close to to him, Iver turned around, took a long breath and shouted FUS RO DAH! screeched from the top of his lungs.

The Maiar were unphased by Iver's screech.

"MANWE'S WILL SHALL BE FULFILLED!" One shouted and charged, stabbing his sword into Iver's wing.

Deslan's got a few hits on the new dozen in Rivendell but most of the arrows rebounded and ricocheted off their armor.

Cardiloc gazed wide as the Sentinel slid his blade into his chest, he let out a gasp of pain before he was flung off the bridge. He groaned as he fell from the bridge, focusing on a transformation. He remembered it from Illians memories; the dragon. He felt himself morph into a 40 foot tall dragon, the very transformation causing a explosion that likely shook the foundations of the bridge. He let out a giant roar and used his arms to raise himself up. "I'm going to kill you for that you mother fucker" He bellowed to the Sentinel. With effort he reached out for the Sentinel with his left claw and doused him in flames.

The others could see him, a mighty red fire drake with wings as dark as night ascending up into the air and baring down on the bridge. He let out a deep growl and bared his teeth. The dragons mouth seemed to heat up as he turned his attention to the two dozen sentinels that had appeared, checking that no friendly rivendell elves were there he let out a barrage of flames that scorched their bodies to dust.

Iver jumped back. Those wankers were probs deaf and his wing was fcked up. He ran toward the creek which had the bridge.

Sigeric sidestepped the sword as it flew through the air, and stood his ground as the sentinel charged. At the last second, he stepped forward, extending his arm and plunging the rapier through the sentinel's visor.

Dimitri swung his hammer at the Sentinel one last time, before moving to support Sigeric

"CARDILOC!" Ha'zi screamed as he saw the Dunlending getting flung. No. NO. He turned to the Sentinel, spear now in hand, with a gaze seeping with fury. "You. Will. PAY!" Ha'zi charges at the Sentinel with spear extended.
------
"Seriously?" Daugo groaned, "Can't a hobbit hide in peace?" He looks around for any elves he could follow that are heading in a safe direction away from battle.

Pyrus closed his eyes at her words, how could he forget about this? Pressing his palm into the earth he would will his magic into the ground, wave after wave hitting the earth searching for the blade. He willed for a stream but sent a river.

"Hey, Sig..." Marco asked as he saw the Dalishman take on a huge Sentinel and stab him in the face. The rapier slid into the man's forehead, between his eyes and through his skull. Sigeric saw the life drain from him and the body collapsed onto him. Marco pushed it off and extended his hand to him, offering to pull him up and off the bridge.

The same Sentinel stopped crawling as Elladan and Dimitri made short work of it, cutting it in all its weak areas and beating the shit out of the body. Ha'zi had the finishing blow, stabbing his spear into the Sentinel's neck which had been exposed during the fighting. Most of the original Sentinel squadron had been decimated but so many elves with them. Then they heard it. A roar. A dragon's roar.

A dozen fresh Sentinels got roasted alive by dragon fire. The remains of the Sentinels were charred ash as they flailed around on fire for a few moments before melting in their armor. It was horrible, their screams and cries. The entire back bridge was cleared yet the Rivendell area still had fifteen or so fighting it out with the Noldor.

Glorfindel stabbed on in the eye jumped from him and onto another, ripped his helmet off so that Deslan could take a headshot then moved onto another, disarming and disabling them with swift precision, his sword often finding its way to the Sentinels throats. The elf leaped off the last Sentinel near the bridge and in his wake four fell to the ground, dead or dying. He landed on the ground to see the fire drake and the giant bat before running over to the last Sentinel on the bridge which had been clustered around by many of the elves.

The remaining twelve Sentinels that chased Iver towards the bridge. They ran in a clear coordinated row, much to the benefit of Cardiloc who saw a clear shot ahead of him.

He felt the iron, the nickel, the copper, the gold, the mercury and all sorts of other metals. He noticed something strange. A foreign metal. Something not of Ea. What was this? He felt it at the top of the hill...

15756962

Iver screeched to warn the group that he is coming before he jumped into the air and floped his wings as much as possible to give the new dragon clear shot.

The dragon grinned, as if that was possible and let out a jet of flame that decimated the remaining Sentinels. "You will all BURN!!!" He roared to the batch of Sentinels.

While sending arrows flying, Deslan thought a bit about his situation.
Aule told him to do a job, so he did. Said job did end up in a mass elf genocide by Manwe's shock troopers. Which is odd, considering how badly Aule hates Manwe. The target couldn't have been Rivendell, as he could have shot the flare anywhere in the land. The giant shifters could be the goal, but surely the valar would have realized low level grunts would do nothing at them... unless Manwe was an idiot. All the gods and demigods he met so far were all sadistic cretins. At least he had the confirmation the world was imperfect because the creators themselves were lunatics.
Anyhow, Aule led to the death of dozens of innocent... relatively innocent elves. That would leave a nasty scar on his already crumbled reputation. Maybe it's time to pack everything and leave for Rhun or Khand, he thought. They would be interested in the applications of horseless carts, chainsaws and cannons, of course: it would earn him some money.

Sigeric took Marco's hand, rising to his feet and surveying the battlefield. He walked toward the open area across the bridge, witnessing the group of sentinels being incinerated by dragon fire from what he could only assume was the Hybrid Giant.

Ha'zi's vision of Card as the dragon was blinded by the red haze of hate focused at the Sentinals. With a cry, the Haradrim boy charged the nearest Sentinel.

"AAAHH! RETRE-"

Dragon flame burnt them to crisp. The last Sentinel had been surrounded and beaten up but kept alive. The fighting was over but the battle had yet to die down. Scores had died. Slaughtered by the Sentinels of Manwe. And the fires from the dragon fire raged, one in the forest at the end of the bridge and one on the wooden carved floors of Rivendell.

Glorfindel sheathed his swords and a legion of elves began to aim at the bat and the dragon.
"Do not fire lest they provoke us." The old elf said, ordering to lower their bows.
"We have much to discuss." He said, looking to Maglor who pulled the living Sentinel along. Glorfindel's eyes found Deslan who was hooked to the bell tower, "Do fly down from there. You look absolutely ridiculous."

Many of the bodies were being recovered, even the mutilated ones, the elves took them all. Thoruk's arm was healing and the dwarf was found unconscious on the bridge. Grimnir was also knocked out, having been slammed into a tree. Daugo was found attempting to escape but failing to do so due to the forest fires which blocked most of the way out.

"Come with us." Elladan said to Dimitri and Ha'zi, infuriated at what had just occurred but masking it professionally.

"Yeesh, what was that all about?" Marco said, glancing at Sigeric after handing the Dalishman his longbow, though it would be of little use. "Sentenels of Maaanway? The fack?"

"Something's on the hill, foreign material. Can't place what it is." He told Azura, eyes closed as moved his magic to observe what this foreign object was, if he could he would also try to bring it to him.

Cardiloc snarled at the elves aiming their bows at him. "Put your bows away I'm not here to kill you." He promised them, settling down to face them.
