VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"I am very sorry Erica, I told you a story that I wouldn’t believe to myself. I have been through a lot of shit and I’m sure you are as well. Do you want to finish that conversation we started earlier or do you want me to tell you the 1 thing I came here to say and leave you alone”?

Erica looked to the floor and back up, "Just tell me what you want to tell me, Iver."

((MAJOR TIME-SKIP. All events before this shall be concluded in time-bubbles.

Everyone is at Minas Tirith.))

Daugo had been training for the past week with his mentor. The first days had made him want to quit but for some reason or another he kept on returning. He had been taught the basic lessons of combat: attacks, counterattacks, parries, all typical moves with a sword. A small short sword, made for the likes of a child, had been handed to him by the King they called Elessar, personally. He was just on his way out of the Citadel Barracks when he saw Dimitri and Cardiloc had arrived.

Iver, Thoruk, Marco and Sigeric had flown south from Dale to Minas Tirith on the back of the Flying Giant. They'd all prepared with fur coats and insulated clothing in order to withstand the cold high altitude winds. There were a few moments when Iver dropped Thoruk but these were far and few between. Eventually, the gang spotted the crest of Minas Tirith, the Tower of the Guard in the distance.

Whilst Cardiloc and Dimitri were arguing they saw something flying through the air from the north. A few guards noticed it as well and began to call up ballista and archers. A Giant Bat was flying towards them.

"Ha'zi, what's that?" Ela asked pointing at it.

"Yeah, what is that? An eagle?" Miriel piped in, standing up and squinting.

Among the groups of elven soldiers littering the Citadel, one ran up to their commanding officer.

"Captain Zaro!" She exclaimed, "There's something in the sky heading for the city. Over there!" She pointed towards the north where a black thing was flying towards Minas Tirith. A drake? A dragon?

"You heard him, hold fire!" One of the Citadel Guards signalled down his comrades, "Iv-er? Who? An ally?"

8861015

"Dale-man, can become a giant bat. He was supposed to be here soon, suppose he just got here. But keep your arrows nocked, if it tries to kill us, I'll give the command to fire. Got it, lad?"

"Uhh, I'll give the command, but good to know." The Citadel Guard said. The archers waited, arrows at the ready but bows not knocked.

The elves followed Zaro's commands. The archers followed suit like the Gondorian men, bows at the ready, arrows not knocked.

"Heh, which ones?" Miriel asked, sheating her dagger. It had become a precautionary move to unsheath it but against a Giant it was useless, or so she had come to learn. Ha'zi had taught her everything about the giants that he knew, about Morgoth, about the Valar, about the island. Or so, she believed.

"Ooo! Can I fly on it?" Ela squealed.

"Erm, maybe later, Ela." He then addresses Miriel. "Some other shifters, our friends from before this mess." He silently mutters, "I hope Grimnir isn't with them."

"Which one is Grimnir again?" Miriel muttered, intrigued.

The elves disengaged from their formation at the order of Zaro.

Iver was flying toward the white city, he didnt have the power to land somewhere near it and start the whole "meet the king" trip so he planned on landing in the citadel. Myabe he will have to beat some soldiers but it wont be that hard.

As Iver approached the seventh level of Minas Tirith he saw many people below him. With his supreme vision he could make out Dimitri, Cardiloc, Ha'zi, Daugo, many guards and elves, a little girl and a young woman. They were all staring up at him with intent. There wasn't really any place to land. Sigeric was taken back by the magnificence of this huge city. It put Erebor, Dale and Esgaroth to shame.

"CLEAR THE AREA!" Dimitri ordered them all. "Move out so Iver can land!" The Citadel Guards began to evacuate the middle of the Citadels' rock formation and form up near Zaro's elves.

"Past? My sister almost froze her ass of and you don't even aplogise!?" The Dunlending blustered to Dimitri, his nostrils flaring. But then... WOOSH, Cardiloc darted his eyes up at the giant bat, reaching for his spear from his back, he suddenly releaised this was Iver. "By Wuff..." He muttered, giving a short glare to Dimitri, he turned his attention back to Iver.

"So Sig and Thoruk are with Iver too?" The Dunlending smirked to Ha'zi. "High time they arrived in fact," He approached the bat, before hearing Ela's comment. "You certainly may not, I'd never trust your safety with Iver." Cardiloc snorted back to Ela."Grimnir is a dwarf and a bit of a cunt, though if we don't have the destroyer on our side our odds grow smaller..." He sighed, backing away as the bat landed.

"He's the D-" Ha'zi chokes back his words for a second, as he remembers how horrible the giant was. The ground littered with bodies of the slaves. Aldamos in ruins. And poor Lesier.

He continues speaking in an angry tone, "The Destroyer Giant. He's bad enough by himself, and has an ego the size of a Mumakil."

"I see," Miriel said watching Iver land, "Is he that one?" She motioned towards Thoruk who was on Iver's back.

Marco jumped off with a, "Oof-" as his feet hit the ground. "Hey, guys. Dimitri," He walked up to the man and gave him a big hug before moving over to Cardiloc and Ha'zi, "Ey, boys. You look good." He mentioned, grabbing both in a weakened bear hug. The Gondorian seemed to have grown much more friendly.

"So, what's for lunch?" He asked no one in particular.

Some of the elves began to converge at the King's Hall and the doors opened. Out strode a retinue of men and elves. Lord Celeborn, the King of Gondor, the one they called Elessar, and a dozen other retainers from officers to men. Among them was Glorfindel.

"Hail!" The King spoke aloud to them, "Are these the last of our party of Giants?" He asked aloud to the newcomers. Cardiloc and Ha'zi had seen the King but never once spoke to him. Celeborn had done all the talking.
