Well, really, I'd grab my family, and go one of two places, either North to Canada, and drive that way, possibly raid or loot some stuff, from there Either Alcatraz like Olex, or Alaska, or Siberia, my loadout would be like a Katana with a Sharpening stone/sword/battle-axe, maybe a weapon or two. The other way, would be to go to the Jackpot of Survival, You know where Amazon.com gets all its items? The Amazon Warehouse in Pennsylvania, or somewhere near there (Correct me if I'm wrong), There, I'd load up on everything short of Military and SWAT grade guns, From MREs, to water, again, Every gun and ammo short of Military grade stuff, and all the stuff I need, if it is not looted yet, then, Again, Either Alcatraz, where really, you're on an island, in a Prison, that would probably withstand a Zombie attack, and if its just like the Book World War Z, the military would've set up a defensive line along the Rockies, OR, I'd probably go south to the Carribean, where I could live large until everything settles down and it gets fix, Worst Case Scenario, I'd find the nearest prison, Hole up in there or a CDC building and maybe do a little research, Just chill until it dies down, if there are ANY AT ALL.
Now, if I want to stay where I am, Which is Long Island in New York, really, as long as the Zombies aren't on the Island, there's a few ways you can really get in, which is the Bridges, or some boats, and 1 or 2 tunnels at most, really, just hold together there, In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they send an entire Military Division there loaded up on supplies and do airdrops there, its one of the best places to be as long as you have the Military well stocked and loaded, as well as a steady supply of stuff from Air drops, Farms, and generally most places, we have probably some freshwater areas, just survive there, the biggest problem to live on Long Island is you're literally living next to a City of 8 Million, and if Manhatten AS WELL AS Staten Island and the Bronx are overrun, you're looking at over 7 million zombies coming straight at you, you'd need lots of bullets right? If you manage to contain that, the ballpark population would be around 1-3 million on the island, would we be able to sustain ourselves on Airdrops and what we can scavenge/grow? Probably, heck, if they sent like convoys of Supply ships to us, we'd be able to survive forever. Living in New York is both an Advantage and a Drawback, if you're planning to get out of the city, tough luck for you, in this case, where literally no ammo exists, it would suck, but usually Ammo wouldn't be extremely scarce.
