I'm using a forum thread so I can easily link it in the future, and so I don't exceed character limit on Discord.
1) All bugs in one place. I don't want to have to collect bugs from in-game chat, dms in-game and on Discord, messages over the forums, forum reports, forum threads, and Discord general chat. It's far easier for me if they're all simply in one place. I refuse to accept that it's entirely down to me to collect and categorise bugs for you. That's not the case in any real game, and it won't be the case here.
2) So why don't I just create a bug reports Discord channel? Well, because the forums function as a "Bug Tracker" as well as a bug reporting mechanism. Now, what is a Bug Tracker? It's a way for devs & server/game admins to take bugs that have been reported, and a) deem if they are valid b) assign them priorities c) mark them as solved once solved. Every game has this, and we are no exception. In fact, it's *even more* important for EW, since EW only has one active Dev/Admin.
As such, it's important that I get the players to do as much as they can to sort this themselves. If there were a bug reporting Discord channel, I'd have to move them to a separate Bug Tracker myself, which to be perfectly honest, would probably just be this bug reports section on Enjin. You can see it makes absolutely no sense, especially when I'd have to do all the work. Maybe if we had a vast Bug Tracking team we could allow this, but we frankly don't.
3) This brings me to my last point. I'm not going to accommodate your every whim. I do this for fun, I don't serve you. If it gets too complex, too tiring, or I just get annoyed, I'll stop. As such, it's probably best for you to at least accommodate the fact I ask for a little help in the running of this server, when it's only me with Tim and the Mods on the side.
If you see anyone confused about this issue, I'd welcome it if you link them this thread.
