Will there be another RP server?

But maybe make these death messages have a range?

No. There should've been an OOC channel, where you can see the death messages and just people talking. Without one, you see people talking OOC in RP, and which we had on the server.

OOC channel was very needed, but its mostly the players fault for not talking rp.

i helped with building the best legit village in that server.
It looked nice and we had a darkroom + regen beacon

I can easally say that I won't be doing anything with a RP server like within the next 4 months for sure. It would take EVEN MORE time, which we don't have. Plus, I'm just not wasting so much time on it again.

The truth is, RP servers don't work out, they cost a lot, they barely earn anything, they don't get a lot of members.
Mini game servers are those building up a community, earning money, getting larger, which is what we're good in. (LMS & LOTR)

If he starts giving out dowloads people will post them on Minecraft Forums and Planet MC and such and give no credit to EpicQuestz or whoever.

The roleplay server with 50 slots took more money than the LOTR server with 100 slots, and it needed even more money spent to fix the remaining lag. Which would make Roleplay like 5 times as expensive as LOTR if we wanted the same amount of slots.

Plus, Roleplay servers just barely get donations, which seems logical to me, why would you donate for items you'd be able to lose by a bandit in a couple of minutes anyways?

Wait, we talking about RP or factions Pvp Griefing Hacks?

Look at all the big roleplaying servers.. They get tons of money, a good community... It just takes time.. And just do like them, PvP without admin permission = ban..

maybe the problem with the server was that the players wanted to do like irl to much.

The problem was; No OOC channel, asking for OOC in chat, few people who could actually roleplay, a lot of people ignoring the rules, since you barely had any proof anyways, since death messages weren't shown, and a way to easy whitelist, with no questions about roleplaying.
