In his palace in Sana'a, the Sultan sits boredly upon his golden throne as a messenger drones on about the peace meeting in Goa. When he gets to the part about the attack, the Sultan's eyebrows arch in anger. When the messenger tells the Sultan that their own General of the Armies Bopen de Skelekkin was killed, the Sultan spills his tea all over the polished floors of the palace in a fit of rage. The Sultan then composes himself, wiping stray droplets of tea off of his expensive robes before pensively and angrily making for his private study. Once there, he sits down, takes up a ridiculously massive quill, and decrees thus:
1: A great monument will be erected in the city of Mecca in honor of the fallen General of the Armies who served his country for over thirty years. The monument, which will consist of a statue made in the likeness of the fallen General, will be no less than thirty feet tall and gilded with gold and fine gems ((basically Athena Parthenos)). It will be under constant guard by Royal Guards to deter vandals and be considered a memorial not just for the fallen General but also all Qariri soldiers who have lost their lives in the service of their country. Meanwhile, the body of the great General will be laid to rest in the Royal Tombs of Buraydah wherein lie all of Qarir's greatest fallen nobles.
2: A force consisting of the late Skelekkin's Royal Guard detachment (numbering nigh a hundred), a hundred fifty Elite Halberdiers, and about twenty Duneshifters will be sent North where the assassins are believed to have originated. Once there, they will investigate the whereabouts of the assassins and attempt to bring these criminals back to Qarir dead or alive. We also request the assistance of Muscovy in this quest for vengeance, as I recognize that our delegate and General of the Armies was not the only one who lost his life by the hands of these assassins.
3: The new General of the Armies, Ali Krungor, will be welcomed into his predecessor's position with a holiday, feast, and ball to take place in the capital which will double as a time of remembrance for the fallen General.
((Once again, I apologize for length, but, as previously stated, I am a writer by trade.))
