    Well, it came around in Israel. Everyone would meet in the Synagogue to study the scriptures and praise God for protecting their nation and keeping it safe. And when the Christians came along, the tradition was passed along, and some of the Apostles write to go to church. The reason is simple, you go to worship and study Gods word, however most "Christians" only go now because they think it makes them a good person

    The only reason gondor didn't whipped the floor with near harad is Mordor (and the opposite)

    Mordor would have beaten Gondor without Harad, I'm pretty sure. The thing that saved Gondor was the destruction of the Ring. Gondor probably could have beaten Harad if Mordor wasn't there, though, since Gondor did that several times before.
