a EW history book (sort of)

Hmm, maybe, but the flame wars are the parts of the server that don't need to be known, as it was pretty much just down to Akam being Akam.
 
I remember I joined at the very end of what all the Vets call the "Golden Age". I can remember all the times I would just turn and run from: Nazgul, Troll, Balrog, Orcs, Archers, Spearmen, Soldiers, and well you get the point. I was such a noob and would just hang back and shoot at people to get blasted by Only_God's fireballs. I also remember when pellenor came out, every one hated it, and then sitting inside that broken siege tower with dimitri arrow spamming any rohan that came near. I also remember when after being off for about 2 weeks returning to see that the server barely had 20 players on when previously it was always above 50. I thought the server was gone mostly due to the new EULA and all of the "Flame Wars" and the other players whose shall not be named getting banned. But here we are today, with many new maps and new players everyday. This past saturday was the first time i saw the server full in a loooong time. Glad to see it all back but I am concerned that we will soon see a lack of staff in the months to come. With all the new players rules will be broken. So ask yourself is EW ready for a new era of growth with so little leadership?

when I joined three months ago I played twice a week and got enough money for rohan guard then got 2.5k points extra from It. I think my biggest killstreak was 18, as troll on minas turith.
 
I was in the pre-siege RP for a brief amount of time.

Then I left. I returned at the end of the "Era of Birth" and was able to see the tiny helms and the crappy Tirith.

Then I left again. When I came back was about mid way through "The Golden Age" in which for the most part I was quiet, not wanting to ask questions in fear of being called a noob. (I also didn't know that the server birthed when the RP died, so I didn't know how much I was missing. Then I figured out that I wasn't missing much!)
To be honest, I didn't find "The Golden Age" so great! Sure it was amazing for Doners, but I was just a regular player. And I recall that on multiple occasion a Naz would drop an armoured troll on me... Also Akam and Lazeekat were rousing up flame wars. As well this was when Weby was a great guy! I never tried LMS at this time.

Then I left again to play Desired Craft. Which I did with Unknowngreifer18, after a while I pretty much hated it cause of all the greifers... So I invited him to EW. When I came on everything was different, people were complaining about everything! And the noob ratio had increased three fold. Wereas in the beginning it was the people I had RPed with! But in the "Transition Age" everybody seemed to have a problem with everyone else! Also when I came back on I was completely taken by surprise to find out that; the lobbies had changed, the capping system had changed, and there were these things called "points" that actually mattered now. Also since there were no more Ender chests I couldn't be an Ent with iron armour, healing potions, and a power 3 bow... Me and Unknown also got VIP at this time.

Then there was "The Age of Winning and Losing" ok, so let's get this clear. I was there when iwasnumber4 was made premod. He made a sign for me in old Moria. And For a while in the beginning I thought that Lockrules was the owner, and that farmeraap was the admin. So when they went inactive, and iwasnumber4 got demoted it really was sad. Thankfully the core EW community is still here! And new people are adding to the experiance. In this short time frame I've seen more maps and participation then in any other age! And it looks like it may just get better...

This is my experiance on EW, though I've been on for a while it has been disconjointed, and I hope to stay on untill this new "Platinum Age" reaches its diminishment!

That was a pretty legit story, except you told me about EW Before DC, but i was so noob on EW at the time I called it "Macks poop" We left at the end of the Golden age and we came back right after Erebor was released. Black gate then came out shortly into it, I do remember that when we first got on you said, Pythonawe and EnderNicky were the coolest most respected players xD,
I finally went on forums for the first time when i got my VIP, which was Nov 25/14 and I realized THEIR IS A MASSIVE COMMUNITY HERE! At that point I had made enough friends so some people new who I was, Btw AgenColar was my first friend. I do remember a lot from EW but only Golden Age up.

Agencolar is one of my best friends in game, though we sadly aren't as close as we where. I remember at the beginning I reported him for "spawnkilling." xD
 
When i joined EW, it was the middle of the golden age, which lasted from from 2013 to the late summer of 2014. I was a COMPLETE noob not knowing where to go, and how to capture flags. I played quite a long time every day. I finally got a rank. Soon after that i played a lot more. I finally upgraded to PRO. Then at the end of toward the end of the"golden age". The flame wars burst out. Akam, Python, and I against Lazee, KingJoseph, and Weby. I look back on it and hated it :P. All of us were banned, Pythons and ours temp. And the map Pellenor came out. I hated pellenor. I was happy it was removed. Then more maps were made and played. Such as osigiliath and erebor. The times now are calmer in my opinion. - My history :thumb:
 
I joined empire war server about 4 months ago. Erebor was added a little while earlier so I was happy to play it. i don't remember much of the old days. i also got royal guard and hammerer, which was really exciting for me!
 
I joined... A couple days after rp closed. I never talked. When I did, it would be too like one person with a question. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.

[ I joined at the end of 2012 and then I were a complete noob, in march 2013 I donated and joined the forums.
After that I played for about 6 months without so many friends. When pelleannor was released I loved it, I didnt play it much because that happened in the time where I had quit the server and only played about once in 2 months or so. When I came back to the server in september, 2014 I had my new rank "pro" and had lost all of my donor classes, so I was very confused. But as the time goed on I got many new friends and enemies. I also learned the new system after EULA. Then I rose in the rankings and became under top 50 in every top-list.
Then avout a week ago I bought the "elite" rank and now I am on a skiing vacation.
And that is basically all of my history with EW. (I still hope fpr old moria to come back)

I still hope for my memory to come back. All I remember is: Recapturing Stairs flag by hiding on the ledge. Getting excited when spearman was added. Log bashing. And running on top of morgul with mage healing myself in 60 secs to capture it.
