Evako, there is such a low limit on mages even with 60+ people on you may only get 2 on each team. They're about as OP as trolls. Trolls have a limit that is way smaller.

Care to explain why there were two mages in a team of 9 then?
 
Peeeeerfect, now when one mage hits you with fireball, you're one hit killed. The fire won't stop at all. I don't know what you touched, Tim, but that is really not good.
 
Anrza, I was including that healing/speed effect. If you keep loosing to a mage, I would suggest a class change or you just are bad.

You were including the speed effect in combat, but you weren't including how important it is when you're on your way to the battlefield, especially compared to the trolls slowness.
 
I've tried so many damn times to get this stupid, OP, noob class and so have others as well. We all hate this class unless you're one of the power gamers who use it. Sjoerdtim is ignoring this thread because he is being stubborn on his decision of keeping the damn crap. He told me, " I am not removing shaman because everyone likes it." Yea, my a** everyone likes it. I wonder why there have been so many threads on getting that dumb class removed. Close to no one wants their fun to be ruined by a bunch of OP coward noobs so I think you should freaking remove this class. Other people and I for sure are pretty pist after half a year of trying to get this class removed. We thought that removing shaman on helms deep would be one of the first steps towards removing this crap,, but it only resulted in the Uruks getting destroyed. Bring back the real pvp, so that legit players can have their fun.
 
The class was a class that noob players could use to get a decent /kd with and one that more skilled players could use to sneak ahead to flags with, but since it was changed to sharp 4, could restock potions and stronger fireballs, it became a tank which completely broke the game but still was there because it was a "too popular class to remove" (yea, what do you expect when you make something too OP to resist?). Now, since it was capped, it's not "fun for the noobs" anymore, but is just a pain in the ass for everyone who doesn't use it frequently.

On a side note, I want to make clear that I don't disrespect everyone for using it, and I don't think that everyone who uses it are noobs. Some people are actually exceptionally skilled with this class. But fact remains that it's a terribly over-powered all-around class that completely breaks the game when used correctly. Singlehandedly, it does what no swordsman could ever achieve, and what I extremely rarely manage to do as an archer nowadays. And all humbleness aside, that's saying quite a lot.

21 players online gives two mages for each team, four normal players and two donors are on Rohan and 15 are on Isengard.

Except on helms we don't get mages so shouldn't the number of mages be halved for rohan?
 
Exactly. One hit kill mages will make them a long-range class, very like crossbowman, and the fact that they can heal others only is exactly what's needed.

Also, make the class reset on death, not only on disconnection.
 
I already made mages die one shot by crossbowmen yesterday.
Also reduced their staff's sharpness from 4 to 2.

I think you're missing something.
Normals orcs are weaker than the standard gondor/rohan fighters. (axe rather than sword)
Orc archers are weaker than the standard gondor/rohan archers (less armour points)

Trolls fill in the gap to make it more fair.
In a 1v1 archer vs troll - archer will win if he can aim right.

I have no idea why you're complaining about trolls when they are necessary yet can be defeated with archery skill anyway.[/quote]
