Ever since i joined the server i have seen people arrow spamming loads, which is really annoying, especially on isengard aren't flaming arrows enough for the uruk hai? Anyway vote on the pole if you would like to show your opinion.

So the server currently has an antibowspam plugin, and it does prevent arrowspam. If you've played archer, you know you have to pull your bow beyond 2/3rds of the way to actually fire a shot.
I was in the game where you complained about this. It's not the spam that was the problem. It was that we had one archer on every staircase, allowing at least two of us to have a shot on every location. Keep in mind the uruk archers don't even have power bows on that map, just flame. Also, as soon as the ents grouped up and charged you blew right past us.
Arrowspam isn't really possible on EW. Bows have less DPS than a sword (for power 3 and below), but bows have range, a tiny bit of knockback, and they break your sprint. If bowspam was possible you would never be able to kill an archer unless you surprised them from behind (try to run at an archer on mcctf). Whenever I kill someone who is charging me, it's because I was patient and drew my bow back all the way for maximum damage each time and hit them every time. If I miss a shot, they keep their sprint and I'm not able to fire another arrow fast enough to prevent them gaining ground.
Finally, bows are even more OP in 1.9 than 1.8. They did not change bows at all.

the thing i dont like about archers is when they sprint jump away from a melee soldier and periodically shoot arrows back and keep running. Its so annoying because if they miss, they just keep running. Also, archers being able to upgrade power is not fair because melee has no point shop perk anymore, but I do agree with getfugu that you cant technically arrow spam as much as other servers. I think power 3 should be removed (there are power 3 point classes for a reason...), and make archers get limited arrows so they can't spam forever.
Tip: Us archers do not take kindly to people who charge us head on. Learn. If you charge us head on, prepare to be spammed to death. Just because we have weak armour and melee, does not mean you will always come out on top.

To add to this, because archer is so powerful I would argue that elven archer is pretty ridiculous. Elven archer I would agree to nerf, but normal archer is totally fine.
Also, since no one mentioned this, I would like to repeat that bow/arrow will actually be more powerful in 1.9, there isn't going to be any drawback nerf, only that meelee classes can't swing at us as much. Bows will still fire at normal speed.

Keep in mind that if power 3 is removed then troll becomes unkillable via archer. Other than that I 100% agree with the power 3 removal. Also the archers that sprint jump away you can kill by angling your shots towards a wall or perpendicular to where they are running while spamming sprint in the same direction as them. This may mean you have to get slightly closer than your furthest melee range distance but it seems to work most of the time for me. The limited arrows concept I hate as it means you cannot come up with many creative positions to snipe from.

My mind does not think that way. I, unlike any bowspammer, knows what melee really is. And I use my melee weapon instead of bowspamming. Meleeing as archer increases your chance of winning a 1v1 against a swordsman if you know how to strafe perfectly.

Laugh out loud. Spam click my mouse? No, archers actually have to time the arrow just right because of the timer Tim has put on bows. Spam clicking the mouse does nothing but show the animation. Archery requires FAR more strategy than you think. Probably just as much as melee. You have to learn to lead, calculate trajectories and think quick. It's not as easy as you think. And trust me, I can almost assure you that those people have arrow spammed. I mean, seriously, if I shoot 2 fully drawn back shots at someone, they scream "ARROW SPAMMER NOOB!". People are just ignorant sometimes.
The only people who hate it are the people who don't use archer at all, which is the majority of the server. You obviously have not played archer. You actually have to play archer first before complaining about its problems. Go play it and come back. Kek

I only ever go melee as archer if i have no other choice or if my damage indicators say he has like 3 health left. cuz then u look all badas killing a soldier melee as archer without taking any damage.
but as far as if I mind arrow spamming or not I only dislike it if the other person has a better ping than me, but then again i dislike melee fights where the other person has a better ping than me so..... XD

Meh, archer is probably more OP here on other servers so it should have more restrictions.
