Is a two-word statement with no backing really the best rebuttal that can be had? I expected a challenge... I guess I am to be disappointed.

Dwarves have epic settlements.

Keep in mind, that "Cool" dwarf settlement was taken by Smaug..while that "lame" elf settlement stood strong against Mordor for ages on end.

It is oft a mistake of men to believe beauty lies in strength and greatness alone. It is no wonder you support the dwarves - they represent what the race of man respects. The elves are higher beings and know beauty that takes lifetimes to understand. No lust for gold and greatness lies within the architects of the elves - nay, they hold within them appreciation for all the world contains and the desire to compliment rather than destroy.

And then you have the dwarves. Great miners and destroyers of what is natural, who claim to know beauty in the gleam of a gem and the imposing nature of their strongholds. A narrow mind, though it may know much, will always be eclipsed by one who knows more of all.

Technically, the elves have no central leader. Elrond is the leader of Rivendell and the lands surrounding it. Galadriel and Celeborn are the leaders of Lothlorien and the Western border of Mirkwood. Thranduil is the leader of the rest of Mirkwood. But to simply generalize and state that Elrond is the leader of all the elves is incorrect.
