Elves or Dwarves

I take this to mean that, for lack of true arguments and rebuttals, you seek to have the dwarves succeed through sheer repetition of a flawed opinion. You will have to do better than that.

Playing with High elves in WH fantasy, playing as elf archer in LoTRO and seeing elves by many other ways superior to dwarves I say that they are simply better race. Not looking santa's elves(that cookiechocolatecreamychildren's bull**it) and when not looking only LotR elves they usually have pets like this:

without mention eagles and other greatures. I would like to see how the great dwarf general reacts when battles against elf lord who is on back of his mighty dragon(as I know dwarves haven't allies like those, do they?)without mention that elves' magic is far superior comparing to dwarves' and usually elves are faster(someone ever played WH and heard about 'speed of Asuryan'?). Yes, Dwarves have imppressive architecturial monuments(moria,Erebour etc.) but I don't see still them more imppressive than elves' ones(Lothlorien is still pretty imppressive right?) and when looking to other fantasy world than ME they usually have at least as imppressive builds as dwarves have. Also elves are way ahead in literature and they know the whole history of middlle earth better than dwarves do and elves have far more developed medicine too.
to be continued as I'm again pretty tired to write anything(prepare to many spelling misstakes etc.Fortunately it's holiday at this time...)

Ok guys, its about time that I say which race I think is the best. Elves. They are very skilled in the art of Weaponry, Magic, and Archery. What are Dwarves you say? Like Elrond said, Only Miners that care nothing for the troubles of others. How many Kingdoms did the Elves make? Rivendell, Gondolin, Lorrien, and Mirkwood. Only one of those Kingdoms fell and it fell by not only orcs but multiple Balrogs and Dragons! I recall the Dwarves only having two Kingdoms. Moria which fell from only 1 Balrog and orcs and Erebor only attacked by 1 Dragon. I think that if you had ALL of the elite Elves and ALL of the elite Dwarves charge into each other in a battle. Elves would win. Also are we not forgetting about the Silmarillion? And how Turgin and All of the other great Elves fought against all of those GIGANTIC foes of Morgoth? Anyway I think I have nothing ells to say, Thank you.

Well, that wasn't really all of the dwarf kingdoms, but, you know, I'm not gonna complain about another elf supporter.
The dwarves were on the wane in all their kingdoms. So were the elves, hence their exodus.
The exception was the Lonely Mountain, who withstood a siege of Easterlings with the combined effort of the dwarves and the men of Dale. Without the men, the battle most likely would have been lost - let me quote some statistics.
"After the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, a force of 30,000 Longbeards and 20,000 Men of Dale (Bardings) held the Lonely Mountain in a similar siege against 200,000 Men of Rhun who had taken all of Brand's lands, leaving only his capital city of Dale. The Dwarves and Men of Dale stood for three days against the Easterlings, and once the news of Sauron's death spread to the Lonely Mountain the Easterlings retreated, having lost over 100,000 troops, as opposed to the defenders who lost 14,000 Dwarves and 12,000 Men. "
Around half of all forces - men, dwarves, and the Easterlings - were slain. Without the men, the dwarves would have been decimated to near defeat, if not defeated. Sauron's death also aided them in that battle.

After that, little is known of what happened to the dwarven civilization. The likely answer is that it slowly dwindled with the rise of man, but it may have remained steadfast.
