is dwarves cooler then elves

Kordian dont be a fool , elves re good on both meele/range.
Dwarves dont use range , but re good at meele (prob a bit less or the same as elves) their advantage is their size and their smith skills , giving them good armor / weapons.

But still, Gandalf and Thorin prefer to use elvish swords. And as the books say, Elven armor is completely arrow-proof. Forging skills are good for both sides.

They are also stronger, better at building and are rly not worse than elves in Melee, They ARE using crossbows and sometimes small hornbows but they prefere melee (perfect for their tunnels and their strength

Elves are good at swords and got dwarf inspired armour, Elves are good at some stuff but dwarves are clearly the best at forging
 
Dwarves make stronger armor, as elves make stronger bows. They make equally powerful swords. Dwarves are stronger but slower. Elves are weaker but agile. End of story
 
Ok, for those of you who think dwarves are "dumb", just look at moria, erebor, and all the dwarven cities. Yeah sure, all that digging, clinging off ropes, melting, and confusing contraptions totally dont need smarts. MMhm.
 
Fun fact: One small deadly disease spread by air and the dwarves won't mine for quite some time.

Danilem the armor proof armor u mean is galvorn , from Eol. The elven swords of gandalf/thorin re not common swords, they gondolin swords.
