nazgul grab

well its the most discussed subject on the server and i think its time for a final discission.
i will have a poll where YOU the players of EW can choose what YOU want with it :)

ps. plz tim, FIRST look what the players want and THEN do that what the community wants the most.

Interesting suggestion, tho I hardly think it's necessary since no more then 10 NazGul's are online once. Sometimes there are zero and it damages the gameplay (Making maps a lot longer then it's needed).

But thats just my opinion :)
 
Stop trying to nerf the already existing classes. If we were to do it, and than proceed with trolls, point classes and such, the game would turn in a simple pvp swords-vs-bows. The nazguls are supposed to grab peple, otherwise they would only be big Flying targets for arrows. Do you imagine it, pvping being a nazgul in the middle of some gondor soldiers? Why would you ever eant to buy or even use it nstead of, say, trolls then? Keep it as it is, that's my opinion.
 
IF grab is removed (it shouldn't be though), the sword will have to be buffed a lot. Like sharp 5 knock 2 stone sword. Otherwise you won't be able to beat that many guys as nazgul.

yes you do, grab didnt even excist 5 months ago and back then nazgul was OP enouht by knocking peopel of walls and killing them, and the resistance makes a nazgul unkillable, because a SWORDMAN does only 0.5 hearts, this makes a nazgul able to 1v1 a swordman without losing health, and i can get 100 ks easily without grab :)

Not everyone stands in a spot where you can knock them off. The resistance is strong, but it's glitchy. I've had swordsman do 0.5 hearts in 1 hit, and also do 2 hearts in 1 hit.
 
Ideas for the nazgul:
-Grab: Give a chance for the player to hit the nazgul with the sword(but, by doing this, he will fall to death)
-Hitbox: THE HITBOX IS THE INVISIBLE PLAYER! At least, make it as big as the fell beast's abdomen.
-When flying near the ground or a player, the wings will push back the players

people say it isnt op and who doesnt have it doesnt know but the OP for the nazgul is 300+ kills , while mostly that say it is underpowered get between 70-100 without any death
grabbing is like free killing, same as if anyone one or two hits killed a person with a sword
mostly this isnt going to work, nazgul is hopeless and its destiny is to destroy people's fun

wtf. Swordsman does 3 hearts. The resistance is not op since they have no armor.

This is the real reason nazgul is op, Nazgul health sucks, if 5 skilled gondorians were playing then the nazgul would be killed without more then 2 kills. But with so many noobs, health can be regained easily. Nazgul is the only class that can just stay away from skilled players completely and just get the noobs.

The problem here is that 1/2 of the players on the forums play or are going to play nazgul.
Why would you vote for a nerf of your main class?

I like this suggestion and I really want it added!

There were no foot Nazguls in Minas Tirith or Black Gate. Maybe Minas Morgul, but then they would have horses.

well now that they do have grab they dont even have to stay away from skilled players. and guess what most skilled players allready have nazgul and use it instead of fight them. so if a pro players hardly ever play gondor?
a pro player with nazgul probably thinks:
nazgul vs gondor
pros with nazgul:
i get to pick up anybody and hardly lose health unless i make a mistake
i get to backstab people and knock them off
i get to fly

cons with nazgul:
the bad guys orc team
has less armor than normal classes

pros with gondor:
good guys gondor team
spear men class
can maybe kill nazguls and get 100+ points for it

cons with gondor:
get spawn camped by trolls constantly
get backstabed/picked up by nazgul constantly
lose everytime if more than 20 players are online
20-100 deaths/points per round lost from being killed by a nazgul or troll
cant shoot at trolls because nazgul will just knock you off the edge
super 13+ second spawn lag at most gates

so yea maybe a white wizard class to counter nazgul that cant be picked up.

k to be clear to EVERYONE i made this thread to know what people want with it, and i DIDNT mention a word in this thread i want to nerf it
 
Lots of pro players play on gondor. Yes, quite a few play mordor because of Nazgul, but many also play on gondor. Not all pro players have Nazgul, so they wouldn't have that calling for them to join mordor.

cons with gondor:
get spawn camped by trolls constantly
get backstabed/picked up by nazgul constantly
lose everytime if more than 20 players are online
20-100 deaths/points per round lost from being killed by a nazgul or troll
cant shoot at trolls because nazgul will just knock you off the edge
super 13+ second spawn lag at most gates

They don't get spawn camped by trolls constantly. That's only really on 5th gate because of how close you have to go by spawn to get to the flag. They don't get backstabbed/picked up by a nazgul constantly. Do you even know what constantly means? Yes, gondor seems to lose more when more people are online. That does seem to be true. 20-100 deaths to nazguls and trolls is ridiculous. 20 is more reasonable while at 100 you must really suck. Leave trolls out of this. We're talking about nazgul. Yes, it can be a pain to shoot at trolls when a nazgul is on, but it's still possible. This super 13+ second spawn lag is not a problem to everyone. There probably are people out there that get this, but not everyone.
