i made this thread because the instire tibbles thread turned into a story thread after adam asked for my story about how a server i used to play on closed. so this is a thread to tell your personal stories about minecraft before you joined EW. try to keep the advertising low/nonexistent.
tell stories about servers you used to play on that closed or just about how you got introduced to minecraft. and the first multiplayer server you ever played on and then how you found/were introduced to empirewar. have fun
 
The first server I ever played on was a harry potter one, I had 4 friends on there, it's closed now becuase it ran out of money. The only thing we ever did was RP :3 I had such fun times. Then i found EW, and never played on that server again :3
 
Repost of mine - This was the first server I ever played properly on minecraft, apart from 1 or 2 hunger games servers which were really bad. So I got minecraft in May 2012 and my friend told me to look on planet minecraft to find a server. I found this Call of Duty related MCInfected server, little did I know that I would be on this server from that moment until it's last (literally). The server was amazing, literally everything about it. The maps, the coding, the classes. Everything. At that time it had about 50 average on it, having s1.mcinfected.net (don't worry these ip's have been long down) s2.mcinfected up to 5, but only 1 and 2 were usually populated. The gamemode was a spinoff of Infected from MW3, but with maps from all COD's and other stuff.

I was a noob at first and died a lot, not really knowing anyone and coming on every week or so for a bit. I kept playing and got to Prestige 2 (Quite a good rank) by about December 2012, when there was this giant update with a load new classes and everyone went hype, trying to unlock everything, but this was just getting good :sick:. ASFJerome and BajanCanadian did videos on this server, many that I am in. As well as SkyDoesMinecraft and other youtubers with them. There was a giant VonoxNL phase and the owner got completely dedicated to the server. He added a load new stuff, everyone was happy and I even had a conversation with ASFJerome (about 5 min conversation where we talked about youtube in general and I just told him I loved his vids). At this time I got really good at pvp, getting super op killstreaks and got to Prestige 4, I was about 60th on the leaderboard at this time out of 200,000 people who had joined the server. But then I got banned for 'aimbot' which was fake as I had never hacked on the server, but I was banned for a week after appeal as the mod was convinced I hacked. After this a load of people hated me because they thought I had hacked, and I stopped playing for a bit. In March 2013 I came back to see a load new gamemodes, not only was there McInfected but there was someone called MCQuicksand (Basically Block Run) and McSkullHunted, if you want to know what that is then check BajanCanadians/ASFJeromes channel :)

This was a great time for the server, there was around 600 people on it average and 12 separate Infected servers (It was the main gamemode and always will be <3). I started using the forums around this time and interacted with the community a lot more, the constant updates making me want to play it more and more. Then it took a turn for the worst, the youtuber hype was over and most of the people who came from Sky and Bajan left, only Jerome still did active videos on the server and most people from his channel who wanted to check it out had already done. Not much really happened in the rest of the year, the owner was at college and busy studying, although he came on from time to time to add new maps and stuff. At Christmas 2013 a new update happened and everyone went hype, but what was supposed to be a 2 week updated turned in 3 weeks, then a month...then 2 months, people were getting bored of the update and wanted to original stuff back, as the snow and constant darkness on the maps was really annoying. I was really playing on this server a lot now, got to the first page of the leaderboard which was a big deal, but me and a few of the other active guys were looking for ways to make it more fun. We found something which turned into the biggest glitch exploition ever on the server (not that we knew it wasn't allowed). There was a lot of void maps, and if you hit someone once then they fell in the void you'd get 2 kills from it due to glitches. So what turned into the highest server killstreak from around 50, turned into 400 in a day (with about 10 people having 400 killstreaks). We all got banned for a month which was a bit unfair considering we got told by a mod that it was allowed. But this really didn't help the server as a lot of it's active players got banned. It also made it a lot less fun for me and I decided to stop playing the server all together then. I checked the forums from time to time to see if there was any updates but never went on the server. Then Halloween came and there was a smallish update which I had to check out, but promised myself I wouldn't come back properly. But I was wrong...I found the enjoyment in the game again and started playing a lot. but with this update like the Christmas update the owner forgot to take it off as he was busy at college and left it on for about 3 months. Everyone thought he had disappeared and the server had died but we were wrong and he posted simply saying that there would be no more updates as he didn't have time.

This was the last stage of the server, a few of the mods turned against the owner and one of them banned everyone on the server, as he thought the owner was just in it for the money and when he stopped getting money he left. There was about 6 months of this and 12 MCInfected servers turned back to 2. As well as McQuickSand and McSkullHunter going down(permanently). Then MCInfected get going off and on, like 10 times, and the Owner was staying quiet. Finally, on the 12th of April, 2014 the server went down permanently (I was on when it crashed for the final time) RIP Super Gaming, you will never be forgotten. Well my first server was a HungerGames/PvP server. It was really small server that barely ever at least 20 players online at once. I believe it's name was Saber Servers. It had only three different HG maps, and one small pvp arena. There were shops, trading areas and mob farming places in the lobby for the arena. But I never lasted 5 seconds every time I entered the PvP arena. The HG was cool though, but it was my first server so anything would've been cool at that time... They used to call me "age" there. I met a lot of people but the only one I really remember was lucyminecraftxx. She was pretty awesome. Always had a bunch of potions, enchanted stuff, armor, ingredients, etc. She always traded us stuff even though we never had anything good to give her. But then... the server updated... It became some weird survival server with a shit mob arena. Then everyone kinda quit. Cluckz and I then started looking for other servers and found E.W. It was awesome... my first class was shaman on Minas Morgul. I didn't know how to throw fireballs nor what the chests were for. I met diejedi, pythonawe, thu, lotrloz, wesbry, dominik and some other peeps. And a few years later here I am. :3
 
My story began when I entered junior high school. My new friends there introduced me to this game called Minecraft. I got the demo some time later, loved it (I still cherish its simplicity), and eventually bought the game, version 1.4. I learnt about multiplayer like a semester later, and, since agen and I shared the account for about a year and a half, my story's pretty much like his at the beginning. I then googled "lord of the rings server " and found Empire War, though I was a newb back then and thought all ips were numerical (agen helped me out then). Agen and I shared the account for a while, and those of you that were friends of agen's a long time ago were sometimes playing with me, actually. We bought Lord a semester or half of one later, and things improved significantly. I got a new account after a while, ogeid60, but I rarelt used it since agen had donor classes ;3 Skip rhe EULA times, and, after a short-lived server of michflippytale's that I was a Mod of and Agen co-owner, the Cluckman persona was born <3 I changed my mc name, my dad got a new computer, and now agen and me could play simultaneously c: And so, skip some more times, and here we are.
 
Im bored, imma tell you about some of my Minecraft experience.

Discovering minecraft:
so in 2009, one of my friends (IGN-AntonHIF) told me about a awsome game he had found called Minecraft, he called it a war/fighting game to sound cool and there was weapons in it, but i didnt really agree, i remember my first house in a small mountain where i found the biggest cave-system ive ever seen in MC (except custom-made ones)
i also remember playing the free shit version of MC on the website way before i had a account and i was bored.

Multiplayer!
So... some of the first server i played on was a server called "Cobblestone Kingdom" and was 1 of the old-school survival servers, where the only protection you had were [Private] (atleast they had shops)
back then i played on some crap account my friend gave me that stopped working/got deactivated after a few months (idk what happend exactly)

The next server i remember the name of and where i played alot were LavaCraft which i belive are still up today, it had all kinds of stuff like Plots, HG, Spleef and CTF, at this time i played on my friends (who had stopped playing MC) account (AntonHIF.)
i played on lavacraft alot with a friend (IGN-SG1Janne) but we didnt really what to do on it, It only had 4 HG arenas and it was ALWAYS full so you had to wait like 15 minutes if you wanted to play a game, my friend was more into the plots while i prefered the CTF (Where my PvP-Addiction was born)
Anyways, i got bored of the server and got the F outta there.

HydraTDM
a really small TeamDeathMatch server with small maps and a maximum of 15 players online (mostly around 2-4 tho)
i remember being able to choose between Healer, Builder, Assasin, Colossus and Soldier.
This server was very important for my pvp "skills" and i learned almost as much on there as i did on EW.

MinecraftApocalypse:
Amazing... AMAZING! I dont remember exactly when i found this server but i think it was a couple of weeks before EW, It was (and is) an amazing RolePlay server with a HUGE map/world with unique locations, dugeons, Bosses and lore, i have so many memories with Granxo, coolkatt and pasta playing on the server doing questlines etc.

This was also before i was a dwarf fan, in the beginning you got to choose between being an elf, dwsrf, viking or barbarian, my choice was elf, cuz Fck common sense.

My time on Conwy:
So this is kinda a sub-title to the last 1.

While we were playing on LavaCraft, my friend found a tipsed me about a server named "the dark age" (before we knew they named the server conwy)
i went on and fell in love, at the time it only had 1 donator class and a few maps, but still 100 players on constantly, i loved it, it was amazing, i met some people like [user avatar="https://cravatar.eu/helmavatar/Axe_Villager/74.png" name="Axe_Villager"]2181058[/user] (known as Axevillager back then) who was top-player at the time and [user avatar="https://assets-cloud.enjin.com/users/7789302/avatar/small.1401456910.png" name="Chrizz"]7789302[/user] who was using another account back then, and is the current top-player.
but as time went on, 3-4 donor classes got added and more donators starter powning, so i kinda got sick of it and got into a fight with Rockslide once, i really didnt like the P2W concept conwy had become.

"EmpireWar?"
By the time i was on conwy me and my friend (IGN-Granxo) played alot of the ancient MC mini-game "Dwarves vs Zombies" and i went on PMC to find some good servers, highest on the list there was a server called EmpireWar, it wasnt really what i was looking for but i went on anyways, since it was online and had alot o players.

i hopoed on a realized it was a bit like Conwy, 2 teams fighting etc.
My first game was on Minas-Tirith and i remember playing Troll and Mage (Who blew my mind at the time)
i was so noob at MC i actually asked my friend if Blaze Rods really could do that.
Anyways, i really had no idea what i was doing but i thought the map was really cool, so i left the battle and went exploring, leading to me bashing the 5th gate and getting my name announced in the chat (AMAZING!!!)
i also remember running around in a small forrest outside Tirith killing bats, but i dont knownif it was the first time.
during this time i still prefered Conwy tho for some reason, it could have been their Map-Spawnpoint system which EW didnt have at time, or that you could actually see a difference between friend and foe on there and it took some time before i "left" conwy.

I remember people like Sjoerdo, Lord Sauron and Pigprotect actually being active, people who has been gone for a long time, like Prometheus39, Iwasnumber4 etc.
this also lead me to telling Pasta20 and coolkatt25 about a new awsome server on our way to school.

i might add some stuff tomorrow, stuff that i dont have in mind atm.
 
Lets revive this thread! this isnt Necroposting, right? meh, who cares? its a stupid rule anyways.
