VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Unfortunately for Sigeric, he was still too fatigued for such a task. And as he reached his hand into Cardiloc's right pocket he found it to be empty aside from a few pebbles and some dirt. What?

Keratos hefted Card away, returning to the rear.

"Heh, what does it matter. There are laws. You kill, you are trialed, judged, and your fate decided. He too shall face such tribulations." Furdin argued.

Tamara could only watch.

The elk plopped onto the ground and a few people came closer. "Woah, nice catch!" Someone shouted to Thoruk. He saw no sign of Lasser, Raddis or Arandil. But there was Thule sitting by Miriel with the babies between them in the distance, and Equas nearby.

A hand landed on his shoulder. "What else can you do?" It was Yellena's voice.

----------

Arandil finished the letter. Now where would he store it?

18199471

----------

"Don't get your hopes up, there'll probably be more," The Trickster snickered at his own joke. "I want you to see some beauty to this world before it's eventually destroyed in the shitstorm apocalypse that my family has brought upon us."

Eonwe put the child down and took ahold of Arien's hand. They looked out of the window directly at Iver and Orome.

"Don't worry. They can't see us." He turned to Iver. "I also brought you here because we need Eonwe."

14628767

"No," Mineltar said, scrutinizing Dimitri with his eyes. "I came here to give you my condolences."

8861015

Iver sighed, "So you want me to ask Eonwe to give up the peace he found and join us in our retarded quest to save the world because?" he asked.

"No. In fact it's just the opposite. I do not doubt he would join us in order to protect his wife and child but I do not want to strip his daughter of a father just yet." The Trickster said. "Instead, we're going to locate a substitute. And a far better-suited one to our needs. Though, you will probably have some qualms with this one,"

14628767

"It would save us both time if you will just give me all the information now so i wont be surprised and will know what the fuck to do. Just standing awkwardly with your sister wasn't that fun for your information" Iver said

"Look, Iver. I don't appreciate your criticisms of my methods. I know what I'm doing. I am the Trickster, after all. So, zip it or I will do that for you." The Trickster raised an eyebrow as well as his index finger into the air. "If we're to uncover the truth of Eru's whereabouts, then we must journey to Valmar. The capital of Valinor. It is there we shall find answers. But walking into such a place is suicide lest we have someone on the inside. And I, frankly, have the means of locating such a someone."

14628767

------------

"For all of the pain that has befallen you," Mineltar said. "Yet, do not merely believe you are the only one suffering, humanoid."

8861015

Iver sighed again, keeping his naughty comment about Orome's methods not being able to even save his own daughter nor his brother to himself. "Alright, where to now" He finally said.

"A whole bunch of things" he'd say sarcastically before moving out of the way. "Our catch" he would say, looking at the others, presenting them the elk. "To be honest, I could eat a whole bear." he'd say loud before "Thank you for carry- well, for the elk" he'd whisper to Yellena, beeing the gentleman he is.

"Somewhere I belong," The Trickster smirked at his meta-jokes and did his usual finger-snap.

Iver and he appeared in a garden. It was excruciatingly lush and filled with birds of all feathers from pink and white flamingos to pearl and snow white swans and doves and even a bird Iver did not recognize with a majestic myriad of colors that arrayed around it, mesmerizing his eyes. Music played through the breeze, light harps and flutes, and Iver felt a sense of peace come over him.

"Whatever you believe of the larger antics at play is but a pin drop in the vast ocean of our cosmos. Open thy eyes and see the truth. You are but one of his many pawn-" Mineltar vanished before he could finish.

A second later, Manwe's voice returned tenfold.

"I am most lenient, most merciful, Dimitri. You have but one of two options. Serve or suffer. Decide."

8861015

Yellena gave a slight nod in response but allowed Thoruk most of the credit for the catch. The dwarf was swarmed by the prototypes and people in the village with Equas being the first to reach him and ask, "Woah! How'd you do it man?" It was clear they were astonished that such a small dwarf managed to take down an elk, without a single scratch on him. They wanted a story, not the truth. Yet, would Thoruk give them one?

13615485

Just then as the dalish man found pebbles and dirt, since Sigeric couldn’t get the Silmaril, Cardiloc attempted to freeze time.

—————————-
“Perhaps, but all I’ve heard is rumour, sure the elf is suspicious, but at least he’s getting a trial. Can’t say the same for the cunt I captured.” Rambo nodded.

"Ill leave it under the pillow for now. Alright now that's all said and done, time to go and find Lasser" He told himself.

Daugo bowed this way and that, spilling beer from his mug as he moved. "Thunk you, thunk you," he said with a slight slur. "I'mmuh lil' light 'ere," he said, tapping the glass after downing the rest of the brew. "Refill, barkeep?" He turned to the crowd. "Ye folks wanna 'nether song?"

"I used to hunt in the woods near my home town, the iron hills. I grew up with hunting, yet only with axes, not with giant powers." he'd say proud. They wanted a story? He felt a bit bad to take all the credit and no one gave Yellena some, but it was in his nature to present it as his catch, otherwise they would think he came back without anything. He'd give a final look towards her, noding aswell as a short sign of gratitude, before creating a little story to present their catch. "Yellena found the elk, peacefully like it was, standing there, almost to graceful to kill it. I picked my axe, let lightnings flow through it..." as he brings up the story he would pick a throwing axe off of his back and try to let some lightnings jump from finger to finger and into the axe, letting it's blade be devoured by almost blue-ish like lightnings. "I took a deep breath and threw it- woosh" he would then extinguish the lightnings and put the axe away. " It threw into the elk's body, the elk fell down within a blink second and wasn't realy able to move anymore and well- this was all there is to it. But I'm glad that i had Yellena with me." he'd say, turning towards her. "She helped me out a lot. She dragged it over half an hour till the edge of the woods." he'd stop, looking at the protos. "Well, that's all there is to it. And now if you excuse me, I'm hungry as hell. If I can help ya lads with cooking, if ya need fire, just tell me." he'd add, waiting for their response.

The offer was tempting. Suffering was certainly a cruel fate, one that many would seek to avoid. Service would then be the obvious choice. Then he remembered the words of Telimekhtar: Never surrender. Even if your foe is unbeatable you must remain undefeated. And this reminded him of his devotion to His Majesty, to His Lord and Savior. Tulkas would not surrender, and Telimekhtar certainly wouldn't either. "I shall not serve." he said, defiance etched on every word.

"Aye!!!" Half a dozen men exclaimed. They slammed their mugs against the wooden tabletops whilst the barkeep refilled Daugo's cup.

Cardiloc instead found himself having a headache when he tried to do so. Keratos rode away before Sigeric could check the other pocket.

"Yeah," Furdin said seeing his commanding officer returning and straightening up and checking to see that the prisoner was secured.
"Let's move." Keratos aid to his men and they departed from the column, going past them at a quickened pace.

Vardamir allowed them to pass whilst gazing around at the city before whistling and kicking his horse. It broke into a little trot and his men followed suit as they continued up to the third level.

Tamara saw the rear detachment break off and pass the larger mass. The prisoners had been taken by them including the elf. Which would she follow?

------------

"I'll get the wood," Someone said.
"I got the utensils!" A female cried.
"Woah," Someone muttered staring at the size of the elk. "Das a big un'."

Equas glanced at Thoruk, "What? Can you also make fire?"

Yellena had trudged off, leaving the scene whilst the dwarf had told his tale.

-------------------

Arandil found himself outside of the house. The day was calm and the wind tranquil. Somewhere on the other side of the village was a ruckus of noise but he was towards the edges in what they called 'Tytus' cabin'. He saw no signs of anyone else. Where was Lasser?

18199471

--------------

"My wife's home," The Trickster answered. He began to walk through the garden, not even bothering to admire any of the majestic scenery. He even kicked a duck that waddled into his way. "Fuckin' scrub. Know your place, trash."

The duck gave a pestiferous, "QUACK." And mozied on its way lazily.

14628767

-----------

For a second there was calm. "Then suffer," Manwe's tone came off as a mixture of disappointment and benediction.

Dimitri went static as his conscience was plunged into a world of agony. His memories corrupted, twisted. Every single sliver of happiness he had ever come to experience in life: his servitude in the army along with his comrades, his time as a Son of Tulkas, his revenge on the Whipper, training Ha'zi to wield arms, even the times he enjoyed murdering foes - all of them were warped into aberrations. His dreams became nightmares. His hopes became doom. His mind a purgatory. He experienced a hell, not of Arda. And once he came to the near end of it, his last memory that of slaying his father with his own hands, it repeated. Over and over and over and over.

The Forochelrim's body frothed and drooled over the floor. Every now and then his finger twitched, turning to stone or crystalizing or morphing into wood before eventually returning to flesh. The only salvation were the voices which taunted him, his own voices turned against him. Dimitri was immured within his mind.

8861015

Tamara would quickly rush alongside the nearest walls, trying to keep up with the prisoners. If someone knew what the soldiers where about to do, then the prisoners that where taken by them. If she could ask them about everything, that would be a good step towards the answer of what was going on in her city at the moment. "Maybe they even have some gold?" she'd play with the thought of robbing them or they'd need to pay if they wanted her to get them out of prison. That could be her chance to make some gold and maybe even get informations. "2 for 1" seemed good enaugh to not lose sight of where they would go.

--------------

Thoruk would look out for Yellena to thank her for not pointing out how it realy was, but it looked like she already left their little group. "Hm?" Thoruk would grumble, snapping out of his searching and looking at Equas. "Aye lad, Fire, wind, water, earth, lightnings. All that is what Durin, my almost god-like ancestor, had planned for me, the powers of nature. Elemental powers so to speak." he'd say, trying to light up a little flame in his hand, showing it to Equas. Somehow it felt a bit homely in this town. Everyone seemed to be happy, except for him, he had a decision yet to make. Which voice was the one that spoke the truth? How should he find his father? Should he realy search for the stone the others almost killed each other for? Would it be worth it? He snapped out of the little daydream- or rather 'day-nightmare'. "Ya have an idea where Yellena went young lad?" he'd ask Equas.

Locked inside his mind like a slave, Dimitri knew only eternal pain and chaos. Every memory, every sweet little thought, even something as simple as taking a gulp of ale brought back the feeling of his mind being filled acid and his thoughts being shattered. So he retreated into his mind, fortifying himself in a relatively safe place. He listened to the voices, drawing solace from their reassurements and promises of revenge. But even then, he was having trouble staying sane.

The Haradrim stiffened at Card's comment, for a number of reasons, and cast a guilty glance towards the Dunlending as he was moved away, now heading to a miserable destination. He sighed, and went to ponder about those reasons as their lessened band continued onwards.

Firstly, how had he heard so easily, anyways? It's not at all like that he just talked about that incredibly sensitive subject about him, right in front of him. They weren't stupid enough to do that.

Secondly, Card's words hurt significantly, as all efforts to revert back to a steely demeanor were in vain. His hands even quivered then at the thought, to his dislike as he tried to repel it with reason: This was all part of his work, after all. So why did he feel so damaged from such a response?

Ha'zi... Ha'zi wanted to believe him. Truly, he did. But it was ludicrous. Madness. The words Card were spewing... they were so impossible, so inane. There was no reason to trust him whatsoever due to all this time lost. Yet, as they gradually drew ever closer to their destination, guilt started to trickle in more and more as he considered how he just treated his friend.
