The shifter's body went rigid as Sigeric's halberd pierced his heart. His tattoo mark, which none of them could see as it was on his back, flamed and burned whilst Iver's body reacted similarly, the mark imprinting itself on him. They saw Iver struggle for a moment before going still. Suddenly, his shoulder began to steam and tendrils of flesh and bone began to reconstruct the arm he was missing. Iver woke up as his arm healed itself. The healing was significantly faster than how Cardiloc had healed and Iver was already conscious. It had worked. Iver had the power of the Flying Giant.
Eonwe walked over, having healed as well, with Dimitri to meet the group.
"Well done. We suffered no losses and one of ours has the power of the Giants. Good work, Sigeric. That man's death is not on your hands but on Melkor's for making him as such. Come, we must return to Aldamos." He said setting off towards their horses which idled nearby on the plateau.

CHAPTER 5: ASSAULT
"FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!!!" The chants rose up from the rally of peoples. Grimnir could see what was happening. They were trapped between the volcano and the Giants in the valley.
Illmare turned to them all, "I am no match for the Destroyer and Dwarf Giants but I will not abandon you. I can slow the lava from the volcano. Distract the Giants whilst I do this otherwise the flow shall rush over the city and ourselves." she said marching up the mountain towards the lava flow.
Before they could say anything else there was a loud WHOOSH.
A boulder came flying out of the sky and landed at the cave entrance, blocking it, and nearly hitting Elodrin and Illmare. When they all looked they could see the Destroyer Giant had thrown it and began picking up another rock. The Dwarf Giant was burrowing into the valley side and breaking out chunks of rocks then rolling them over to the Destroyer. They could see the two were stockpiling ammunition for the Destroyer.
There was a group of slaves near the giants, some of the patrols. Elodrin watched as the Destroyer cracked a boulder in half into smaller rocks and threw them at the patrol. The men stood no chance and were obliterated. Some had survived, though, a few crawling and at least three running back towards Aldamos. The Dwarf rushed over and stepped on the crawlers then ate the runners. They just lost a dozen men and the attack had barely begun.
"What are we going to do? If we stay here we'll get showered with rocks or the lava flow will kill us. We can't run, the valley sides are too steep for any of us to climb. And if we try to attack..." Silesia said not needing to add anything else. They were beyond hopeless in this situation. They couldn't stand around, they couldn't flee, they couldn't attack or else they'd all die. At the least, an attack might be glorious but who's to say they would succeed at even reaching the Giants? What then, they'd poke their toes and hope for the best? Illmare was occupied and all they had were their weapons, some horses and themselves...
