VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"What in... isn't that a slave I saw earlier... what by Durin..." Thoruk mumbles as he rapples up and stares towards the new giant that seemingly just popped up out of nowhere. "Dim, get up lad" he says as he grabbes hold of his arm and puts it behind his head "I think we don't wonna stay between them... we would end like ma brothers up in the north..." "bloody and cold bodys, trampled by giants..." he thinks before shaking his head again. "Let's get deeper into the woods lad" he says as they walk deeper into the unknown jungle.

"What the fuck!?" exclaimed Daugo upon seeing the new giant. He had not seen the bloody demise of man and boy, but he judged from his companions' expressions that it had been a swift end, and tears streamed from his eyes. He was now torn between remaining hidden with this visible group, or take his chances and flee into the rainforest.

After the boulders came down, all Ha'zi saw was darkness. He felt something that could only be described as incredible sorrow, so deep and painful, as many memories flooded in. His mother, forced by illness to be in constant rest, telling him that she wishes she could be with the young boy and his father longer, that she could be there for the rest of his life, then, finally, passing. His father, beating Ha'zi, again and again, blaming him for everything that happened, "How could you do this to us, boy?! How could you do this to her?!" And now, his friend, Lasier. He remembers the old man's friendliness and care, and he begins to shake. He hears voices come to him in his head, "Failure. Foolish boy. You couldn't even save your friend, let alone your own mother. You've helped no one, only bringing death and chaos. You. Failed. EVERYONE." At this moment, Ha'zi's anger builds tremendously, focusing on the memory of his only friend and father figure. Suddenly, light fills the darkness. Ha'zi, without even thinking, shouts, "NO."

The giant roars loudly, unintelligibly at the other giant near the mountain and begins charging towards it. It seems to be in an uncontrollable rage as it rushes towards the other one, its legs kicking up bucketloads of sand.

Thoruk, carrying Dimitri, found his way into the jungle. His friend's body was heavy on him, Dimitri's warhammer being left behind on the beach alleviated the weight, but the man and his metal arm were still a burden on the dwarf's back. The jungle around them seemed desolate and outside he could hear the sounds of roars from the new giant. He had the option of resting, moving north along the jungle edge to find his comrades or to venture deeper into the jungle and risk getting lost. He desperately needed food and water and so did his unconscious, wounded friend. Without medical care, Dimitri may die from an infection.

The other giant looked caught off-guard by this and grasped a boulder from the mountain.

"Now this was unexpected. I never thought Keldar would have gone to such lengths, but, then again, I never thought I'd see another child of Illuvitar again. Won't this be interesting!"

The beast roared, flinging the rock at Ha'zi's giant.

FOOOSH

The boulder smacks straight through Ha'zi's giant's head, wiping it clean off. All that remained was a clean neck. The body of the giant fell back and landed on the beach with a trembling thud, 15 feet from the jungle which hid Thoruk and Dimitri.

A brief moment of silence passed as the victorious giant laughed,

"Pathetic. Keldar's inheritor beaten so easily. Time to end it."

He grasped another rock from the mountain as the dead corpse of Ha'zi's giant spasmed, the back of its neck opening in a jet of blood and steam as a body was ejected from it. Thoruk could see the face of the person that was unleashed from the giant's corpse. It was the soft, innocent face of the Haradrim slave boy known to him as Ha'zi. He lay there, unconscious and unmoving but Thoruk could see he was breathing, heavily, his skinny lungs heaving with each intake of air. "What... how's he..." Thoruk mumbles as he sees the giants head cut of and the smaller version lying just infront of him. "What in Durins name just happend.... he is still alive, but not for long if we can't take him with us." Thoruk thinks as he realises what just happend. "I need to take him with us lad" he tells the groaning Dimitri on his back. He moves him onto his right shoulder so he could pick up the other one onto his left shoulder and head into the direction of the others. "Now nobody can stop this massive beast anymore.... we should hurry up."

The giant trudges over to the dead carcass of Ha'zi's giant, carrying its boulder. Using his other arm it grasps the dead body and lifts it up to peer inside it. After a few seconds of inspection, the creature roars in anger.

"HOW? WHERE? WHO? KELDAR, RAGH!"

He drops the dead carcass of Ha'zi's giant back onto the beach and straightens up, peering across the entire beach, searching for any signs of life.

"I will find you, inheritor, and I shall finish you. Mark my words.

He says aloud before he drops the boulder on the wreck of the slaver ship and, with mighty stomps, trudges south along the beach, disappearing behind the mountain. His loud stomps ending after several minutes.

The slaves all hidden inside the jungle have witnessed this fight and the subsequent actions and statements of the giant which had attacked them and killed Lesier along with many others. Thoruk, carrying both Ha'zi and Dimitri, slimly avoided detection by the giant and was now headed north along the jungle, towards the group of slaves.

The disorganized slaves were still in a panic. Some were crying; some were missing (having run into the jungle in terror); some were discussing with their own respective groups like Yuri with Sigeric and Dean with Elodrin; and some were just given up, tired and depressed like Radaa who sat next to Cardiloc.
"What the fack." Marco exclaims in the midst of all the chaos.
"Is no one gonna question any of this? What the fack were those things? Where're are we? What the cunt is goin' on? Wat's a Keldar? Were's tha food?"

"Whatever that 'inheritor' is," says Daugo slowly, "we should keep well away from him. Are we even sure this is an island?"

Cardiloc gawped as the two stone giants fought against each other, he struggled to get a better look at the events unfolding. Ha'Zi seemed to be advancing towards the other giant his expression furious. And then, WHAM, the rock the first giant had thrown found home and the boys head was wiped clean off. "What..." Cardiloc mumbled to himself, awestruck by the events.

The dunlending sighed and looked up at Radaa, who looked utterly defeated. "I'm sorry... did you know him? The old man, I mean." Cardiloc tentatively asked Radaa, though the Dunlending's attention focused back on his spear, he stared at it as if it were alien... Lesier had given him this spear, and the first thing he had done with it was fuck up!

"well that went downhill very fast" Iver said as the other giant killed the hazi giant. He then saw the dwarf picking em up and running and almost started laughing, but he didnt feel like it would boost the group's moral. He then started walking toward Thorukto help em carry the two, dead? slaves.

"Not really," Radaa said, "The poor fellow rarely spoke and never to me. Still, he didn't deserve to die like that." The hillman looked away from the beach. "What in Middle-Earth was that thing?" He asked, to no one in particular. 12700073

"Aye..." Cardiloc muttered to himself, he was about to speak before Radaa spoke. He listened quietly before replying."I've heard the tales in Dunland, they say stone giants live up north in the Misty Mountains. It seems they were right, unfortunately for us..." Cardiloc answered Radaa as best he could, gazing across onto the beach.

"But, those aren't made of stones. They're flesh." Radaa pointed to the decaying body of Ha'zi's giant which lay strewn out across the beach on the destroyed slaver camp. 12700073

"Whatever the reason is, we need to get off this island," Cardiloc nodded to Radaa, "Perhaps we could scavenge whatever supplies we can?" The dunlending suggested to Radaa, he gazed over at the wreck of the ship to see the damage.

"What do you think we'll find in the wreckage?" The big man said pointing at the ruins of their ship and campsite. "Everything's gone. We should try to find food in the jungle, I think. Also, is that," he paused, turning to see a dwarf carrying two bodies coming from the north, "Thoruk?" The dwarf had carried both Dimitri and Ha'zi across 200 feet of beach. He appeared nearly completely drained of energy. Both Dimitri and Ha'zi were unconscious, with Dimitri bleeding from a shoulder scar.

We still ought to check," Cardiloc shook his head persistently to the big man. "I'd sooner stay here than go deeper into the island. Though I don't have much choice." Cardiloc commented to Radaa before he noticed Thoruk as well. "My, my dwarves truly are renowned for their stamina," The dunlending grinned to Radaa, he smiled at the return of Ha'Zi before his eyes darted over to Dimitri and his smile curdled into a frown.

Daugo swallowed dryly. Thoruk had been his friend, his ally, since this shitstorm began. He would not have done this for anyone else, but, seeing him in such a pitiful state as a result of his big heart moved Daugo. "Fuck, Thoruk," he said to himself before sprinting over to him to help him carry the boy. "Give it," he said stubbornly, though he knew the Haradrim was probably as heavy if not heavier than him.

((I'm assuming those three haven'tentirely reached the hiding place yet, but are pretty nearby.))

"These two realy need some.." he pauses to take a breath rather hardly "help." he says as he looks towards Daugo. "Dim is bleeding and the other lad.." he pauses again to turn around and look at his body "is still breathing aswell." He puts the haradrim boy onto the ground and tries to carry the other one on. "Thank you lad" he says as he looks at his friend. "If he's to heavy" he pauses to properly move Dimitri so he wouldn't fall down. "Lemme help ya lad." After a few more breaths, he asks the others as he looks towards the body of Ha'zi "That giant... was that realy him?"

"It was..." Cardiloc verified to Thoruk with a hasty nod from the ground, it appeared his leg had been bandaged though he could not walk. "You look like you need a rest dwarf," Cardiloc advised him with a small smile.
