VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

As Thoruk heared Iver talking about the hide of the beast, he realises that they could use some of it very well. He turns around once more and realises, Eonwe and the haradim boy where bussy talking to each other so he could easily go back and take a few cuts here and there with the big tooth he had cut out of the beasts mouth. He slowly walks towards the beast's corpse, knees down, gets the big tooth out of his improvised bag and tries to cut enaugh hide of so they could later use it to make some chestplates, or atleast a kind of chestplate who would help them survive a bit longer on this island. "Aye.. I should probably put Iver onto the cart and ask someone to help me pull it after I'm finished here." he says as he starts working on the fallen beast's skin with its own tooth.

Ha'zi yawns, low on energy after the events that happened since the arrival on this island. "My father?" he says sleepily, "How is he? Is he" he stops, "is he looking for me?"

"Yes, Ha'zi. He awaits you back in Harad. If you do as I say, you will return to him. Okay?" Eonwe answered the question. Still offering his hand to the boy. He waited for Ha'zi to take it.

Eonwë smiled at Ha'zi then walked towards the middle of the group, holding the boy's hand.

"We need to leave, now. The other Karoltai would have heard their brethren's scream and be on their way. So, let us get to safety. Follow me."

Eonwë entered the bush he had appeared from initially, disappearing into the jungle with Ha'zi. The others began to follow.

((Anything such as talks, burning the dead archer and gathering supplies is done before this happens. So, your characters are all prepared and ready to venture deeper into the remote.))

Deslan was surprised by the literate of the group not being surprised that a man in armour heralding himself as the herald (hehe) of Manwe. And that everyone trusts him despite granting Cardiloc, an even more dangerous individual than Ha'zi, gigantomorphism.
In the meantime, he was punishing his cowardly goons by having them carry the boat with the scorpion, him and a considerable amount of crocolion meat. His father would be proud.

Still sleepy, Ha'zi would have some difficulty walking. He would accidentally nod off mid walk a few times, then quickly wake back up. He looks back up at the Herald, "What are "Karoltai"? And who is that Keldar man? He looked to be a Haradrim..."

Eonwë turned and answered Ha'zi, "The Karoltai are servants of," he paused a moment for dramatic effect, "Melkor, the first Dark Lord. I will explain when we return to the caves, Ha'zi. Save your strength until then. Rest on the cart with the others if you need." He motioned towards the cart which held Marco, Cardiloc and Iver (if Thoruk had placed him on it).

--------

Cardiloc began experiencing a dream.

He awoke in a dark mist, fully healed. To his left was a she-wolf, staring back at him with bright blue eyes. It strode over and laid it's large head on his lap, harmlessly before falling asleep. A faint feminine voice spoke to him,

"We are one. I will protect you."

The voice was not spoken but he could hear it like a thought inside his mind. The she-wolf remained silent and a sudden shift in the dark mist clouded over her. Now he was alone. The voice echoed in the shadows.

"One."
"Protect."
"You."

It all went black.

"We don't have time for a burial." Sigeric said, regret in his voice. "Prepare a pyre, quickly. It would dishonor him to leave him as food for the crows." After the body was burned, and before they left, Sigeric stepped over to the rapidly-decaying wolf and took a bone of suitable size for a polearm shaft.

After Thoruk had cut enaugh hide out of that beast to make at least 2 pieces of chest armor he asked Radaa to pick up Iver so no one would left him behind. He stands up, attaches the big tooth to his bag once more and puts the hide onto the cart. "Aye, if someone tries to use this.." he says while looking around "by Durin, you will have a bolt in your stomach before you even realise" he adds before slowly walking away from the cart to search flr Grimnir who would hopefully give him some bolts for his crossbow.

Dimitri stared in awe at the champion of the west. "Manwe has answered my prayers, the light has come..." Dimitri whispers. Within him he felt a new flare of hope and courage that seared through feelings of despair and fear. Yet there was a voice in the back of his head, one that urged caution. He remembered tales of the Black Foe, who took fair forms to deceive the Eldar and Men of Old. He takes a bone that would suffice for his warhammer for now and prepares to move out.

"My lord's will. I was beckoned to seek you out in this place." He answered simply, cutting down shrubbery that stood in their path with a shortsword, his longer blade sheathed away.

The group was now moving away from their hidden-jungle campsite. Sigeric and Yuri had burned the bodies of the dead archer and dead woman. Everyone was in tow. Before Deslan could ask any further questions the ground began to tremble. They had felt the same shaking before. It was the giant. They couldn't hear it but they definitely could feel it.

Eonwe picked up speed. "Let us hurry before he finds us." He cut through the thick undergrowth faster.

Deslan hopped off the boat and helped his men carry it, as the arrival of the giant required a little more rested men and speed. He told them in Southron not to trust the armoured stranger, regardless of him being Eonwe or not. If he was, Manwe was not kind to the men of Harad, or at least that is what the legends say. If he wasn't, which was most likely, it was best to be ready for a trap - and to scavenge off the other slaves's corpses.

"Let us not use that name, shall we. Melkor's hold on the world may be waning but it is still here. I remember it all. His might, his evil. Never do I wish anyone to endure witnessing such horror." He answered Dimitri without turning to face the man, too focused on clearing their path. If the others helped it would go a lot faster.

Even though Elodrin didn't have his sword with him he still helped where he could if it be helping those injuries not stray behind, move brush with his hands, or even help carry whatever they took. However he did call over to Eonwë and said "After we are all somewhat settled in would you care if you and I were to speak in private m'lord."

The man did not turn to face him but his voice answered loud and clear, "It is not in my case to care but to do, Elodrin Evrithion. You need not address me as my lord, Captain, a simple Eonwe shall suffice." He pronounced his name, 'E-yon-wey.'

Looks at the large man while cutting through the jungle, "What is this Island, and what is to be expected from us here. And more importantly, laddie, why are you here."
