VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"shouldnt we grab some supplies for the trip?" Asked Iver who wanted to use that time to move his new aquired items back home.

Eonwe led them into the stables which were old, huge and crumbling but had been recently fenced over by Illmare's freed slave groups. There were nearly two hundred horses in here. The Maia walked up to one chestnut colored one, opened its pen, released it and led it out of the stables, grasping an old saddle on the way out. The others were expected to follow suit and select horses. There were many in the stables from wild stallions to ginger thoroughbreds.

As the stubborn, longbearded dwarf walks around to find a horse, fitting his size and strengh he eventually stops at a pony, fitting his size, with enaugh strengh to lead him into the upcoming battle.

Elodrin would raise his fist. If Sigeric didn't have a thing for his sword he would of raised it instead. "I will defend Aldamos! Who shall defend her with me!"

"Barely ever rode a horse. Last time I did it was running from an angry wildman north of Tharbad." he said. He picked a rather generic looking steed, grey with a few black splotches. With his boar spear on his back, he was ready to ride.

"Hmm, which should I get", Ha'zi ponders as he carefully examines the horses in the stable. He had some riding experience, delivering required this kind of travel. "Small but sturdy is what I need", he thinks, "not too small though, and has to have a lot of endurance." He continues to walk along each stall.

On his way to there he dropped his cart at home and picked on his way his crossbow, his short spear, two daggers that fitted his captain's clothing and a watersking.
"You had horses all that time?!" Iver asked, remembering walking up the hill with the cart when he could use a horse instead. "Never mind ill use them next time" He said while picking a horse that will fit him. He was good at picking horsed from all the time he spent with them on the roads and the time he spent in rohan, where it seems like the people didnt know anything about what is not horse related.

Cardiloc had followed them here and began by choosing a maple-syrup looking horse. He didn't exactly know what he was doing so Radaa came over and helped him on, teaching him how to use a saddle and ride a horse. Cardiloc was a bit frightened by the idea of galloping on such a big creature but he'd been frightened of wolves and the crocolion so it wasn't that bad, he guessed.

Ha'zi found a small pony next to Thoruk's mount.

"WE!" A grand exclamation came from the Gondorian group. Dean pat Elodrin, "We're with you, brother."

Some of the Rhovanion men came forward as well. The Haradrim remained silent. Yuri and his archers agreed to join up with the Gondorian group with Sigeric's absence and apparent abandonment of them. A great amount of the people swelled behind Elodrin.

Grimnir huffed and walked off. They could do all the work. He'd go show Polly how to forge a real axe. ;)

As Sigeric passed Elodrin on his way to the stables, he tossed him his longsword. "You should take better care of your weapon. We wouldn't want it to end up like my halberd." he said in a dry tone that made it unclear whether he was joking. As he reached the stables, he inspected the horses, looking for one that would serve him well. He had no lack of experience in mounted combat; halberds were most effective against other riders.

"This is a pretty good one", he says. He finishes up saddling his pony, then takes it outside the stable, ready.

Iver picked a horse that was calm and with high stamina and then mounted him with no trouble like he did on his short rides between erebor-dale or dale-laketown.

Once all had acquired mounts Eonwe led them to the armoury to pick up any supplies, met with Victas to get some food for the journey and place it in bags on the Maia's horse before taking them down the valley to the bottom.

Once there they set off, taking one last glance at the ancient Numenorean city, and entering the jungle. The journey took them deep into it. An hour passed. It was silent for the majority of the while but every so often someone enquired and Eonwe answered whether it be a question on Middle-Earth, Arda, the races, the Valar, the Maiar. All of the Expedition's adventurers could ask him as they journeyed through the thick jungle brush.

((Your chance to get some exposition.))

Nearly forgetting, Ha'zi made sure to grab a spear from the armory. He wouldn't want to waste his day's training, after all. He also grabs a sling, then goes back to his pony and departs with the others.

As they ride along, Thoruk starts a question he had thought of a lot earlier "So.." he starts of "Do you Maiar guys have any kind of week point? Aye, I mean, why wouldn't you lads kill the giants on your own?" he asks while looking at the axe he had gotten from Polly.

"The mountain where the Flying Giant shifter usually lives. Illmare and I have surveyed the island in our time awaiting you. We have identified specific areas certain shifters occupy. The Flying shifter always remains near this mountain at some sort of alcove at its peak." Eonwe answered Dimitri.

Then to Thoruk he speaks, this riding ahead, "Yes and no. Maiar are invulnerable to most attacks. But, can be killed. Either through attrition or by the stab of a Maiar blade. Though, we have forsworn to never use such weapons. We can be defeated by certain types of ailments. For example, sorcerers of Mai-I mean Sauron used salt and oils to bind, lock or prohibit Maiar from crossing boundaries with the use of magic. Spells can harm us, although, there are few with such knowledge in Middle-Earth. We cannot face a giant singularly as it may result in the giant killing us through attrition. Extensive damage to our material bodies can cause our spirits to return to Valinor or to Eru, or so I've been told. A Maiar blade can instantaneously kill a Maiar body and spirit, however, this has never been done before. We additionally needed human or dwarf inheritors to claim the powers of the Giants. Killing them on the island would have been impossible as their power would have remained trapped and they would eventually heal since no humans were left living. Thus, the Giants want to eliminate you and us from the island so that they are essentially unkillable. Therefore, we must tread carefully, Master Dwarf." Eonwe said. Thoruk noticed the axe had a little kiss on it. Cute.

"You have connection to dreams right? Can you.... Tell me what is the source of a dream i had?" He asked slightly embarrassed that he had to ask the one he insulted about his secrets.
