VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Tears were streaming like a flood down his face. All this horror, this destruction, this abject terror... But what really made him angry was the feeling of helplessness, of uselessness that he had. Radaa had died fighting bravely, Thoruk was riding some sort of giant bat, Sigeric was slashing at the GuardianGuardian's feet, Elodrin was dead, and what could he do about it all? Not a fucking goddamn thing. He had barely survived the wreckage, and he had a wide gash across his leg, but he was mostly fine, his body small enough to avoid the majority of the carnage.

Seeing Dimitri gathering survivors, he rushes towards him, with no clear sense of what he wants to do.

Dimitri was organizing his party when he saw the Halfling rush towards him. "Daugo! Thank the Valar, I thought everyone was dead." Dimitri exclaimed. "But we have no time for greetings, I have a very important task for you, master hobbit." he continues. "These people have to get out of here alive. You are the only one here that I know can get them out here safely. Please, take them away from the city and find a place for them. This place is a death trap. Once you find a safe place, come back and I'll send another group with you. Can you do this, brother?" Dimitri asked. Dimitri finds Celeste, Margoz, Daugo, Freida, Victas and some others. There were many bodies scattered across the lower reaches of the city and a few people wandering aimlessly or looking through the dead.

The Elemental Giant's fist soars out of the sky as its blinded by the screech and smacks into Iver's bat form, hitting him like a fly. Thoruk flew out of Iver's grasp and onto the hand, running across it and for the Elemental's neck. The Giant was coming to its senses as it retracted its hand, Thoruk jumped with all his might, his axe in hand as he brought it down upon the creature's neck, ripping out its shifter who fell with him. The Elemental's body collapsed forwards, landing in the lava and burning whilst Thoruk and the Elemental Shifter hit the cold earth with a thud. Thoruk's spine cracked and his bones broke in the fall but so did the Elemental's. With the death of the Elemental a thunderous tremble sounded in the deeps of the volcano. It blew out again, lava flying through the sky and pieces of molten magma smacking into the earth and Aldamos. The lava flow increased and Illmare was forced to retreat, it flowing down towards the city. Yuri and the archers ran for the stables and began to shout for others to get out of the city.

"WHA-"

The Destroyer was injured, had an Eagle ripping at its neck, the Warrior headlocking it and inside it Grimnir. Grimnir's axe pierced through its thin throat and clipped the Destroyer Shifter's leg, pulling him out of the Giant and into its throat.
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD, DWARF, I'LL KILL YOU!" The shifter screamed at him, pulling out a dagger as both of them slid down the Destroyer Giant's oesophagus. The last thing Grimnir saw was the sweet dark before the spreading of crimson red blood covered his face.

Ha'zi felt the Destroyer go slack and Cardiloc found that there was no body in its nape when he ripped it clean out. Then a massive sword entered the Warrior's back, piercing through his chest. Ha'zi was fine but his Giant was disabled from running with the sword in it. When both the shifters turned around they saw the Guardian Giant. It was wielding a giant-sized warhammer that could reach them at this range and spoke,

"Oh, now you notice me?"

It brought the warhammer swinging down towards Ha'zi.

He nods, blinking away the tears that left thin lines of cleanliness on an otherwise dirt-caked face. "Y-yes. I can try," he says, his voice quivering. "All right people," he says, more loudly and confidently, "we need to get out of here, NOW. So just follow my example and you should mostly do fine."

Without looking back, he sets off, hiding behind the rubble whenever possible, to try and reach the jungle through the route furthest from the giants.

Iver fell from the sky trying to slow down, he saw the giant collapse but didnt see how it hapenned. He decided to look for thoruk who probs fell and found him next to the body of the shifter? he dived down at full speed toward the couple. he would try to cut his way out of his bat form so he could transfer the power of the elemental to Thoruk.

The eagle looked confused by the lack of the shifter but then he realised the old dwarf had one last fight left in him, flying above Destroyer he noticed the Guardian attacking Ha'Zi and flew around it, the giant likely engaging Ha'Zi as he swooped down to attack its neck preparing to rip out its shifter with its talons.

As the Guardian Giant focused its attention on the Warrior, Sigeric saw his window of opportunity. He quickly sheathed his bastard sword and equiped his halberd instead. Gritting his teeth, he urged his horse forward, charging at the Guardian. A thrill of adrenaline swept through him as he raised his halberd, aiming for the inside of the Giant's kneecap...

Grombrindal with rage incarnate takes down the fellow below Him as they borh fall down, and aims his Axe towards his makes chest, to cut Him in two, "You dare laddie?! You DARE?!?!" He says with a fury in his voice, he wants to take this Kid down, with the most gruesome death possible.

Dimitri looked on with a pleased smile as the hobbit rallied himself and his people and led them to hopeful safety. He grabbed the rest of the people in the city, literally sometimes, and sends them out of the city.

(This only happens if Eonwe is far from the fight)

Dimitri also grabs Eonwe and tosses him on his horse, and rides away from the city. "On your feet, soldiers. We are leaving!"

The Warrior desperately tries to move out of the way of the hammer swing by diving down on the ground. If it works, he would try to take the sword out.

Eonwe slowly awoke in the clearing that Cardiloc had left him. He surveyed his surroundings and saw the dead man next to him. Radaa. Just another death on Melkor's hands. Slowly he got up, limping at first then running towards the sounds of the battle.
"Forgive me, if my end is here, Eru."

-------------

If Iver cut himself out of his bat form he may not be able to transform again. That may doom them all up here on the erupting volcano. He could pick both up and fly them away then do it later but Thoruk may die if he moves his body...

Dimitri finds a bunch of the survivors from Elodrin's cavalry charge. He saw Sam and Osk. Both men were carrying injured. Silesia, Dean and Elodrin's bodies were held by the two.
"Hey, we need help carrying them." It seemed these were the only two left down here.

Daugo led them along the southside valley which saw the least of the action. Eventually he got them out of the valley and past the fighting giants.
"Where to now, Daugo?" Celeste asked. There were about twenty-six of them.

At the hilltop Yuri pinned down the dwarf-shifter. They had tied him up in ropes but he constantly tried to escape.
"You little shit. I'm going to take your power now and use it to kill the last of your friends. Then we're getting off this damn island and back home." The old Dalish archer raised a knife and brought it to the throat of the dwarf, slicing it. The dwarf-shifter choked, struggled then a light appeared out of his throat then his entire body.
"Fuck."

An explosion at the hilltop and the Dwarf Giant stood in place of the archer squad. It jumped on Yuri and killed him with its weight, slaughtering the archers, using its hardened jaws to eat the scorpion and the Haradrim manning it. The Dwarf then began to rush back down towards the valley-bottom at unparalleled speeds.

----------------

The Warrior Giant found it couldn't move. When Ha'zi looked down he saw spikes littering the floor. What? Some sort of weapon from the Guardian? The Warhammer was swung down upon his head, completely annihilating it. The Warrior Giant was left standing in the spikes, beheaded.

The Hybrid's aerial attack to the Guardian's nape worked. It ripped out its neck and to much surprise found that the Guardian-shifter was missing. What? The enemy giant grunted and grinned turning around to swat Cardiloc out of the sky.

Sigeric's halberd slid home into the soft skin of the Guardian's heel (I assumed you meant the heel, the kneecap is not reachable from the ground).

"AHHH!"

The Guardian screamed, loudly, twisting around with the warhammer, aiming to swing it at Sigeric's horse as one of its legs gave way, causing it to fall.

--------------

"NO-YOU DARE!" The Destroyer-shifter screamed back, stabbing Grimnir in the eye as the legendary axe cut the man in half. They both fell into the digestive system of the Destroyer, a mere stomach with some viscous liquid and no exit passages. The last thing Grimnir felt and saw was the blood of his enemy coating his face, misking with his own blood before both began to drown in the stomach of the Destroyer Giant.

Iver grabbed both of the small bodies and picked them and looked around, where was that she maia? He located her where he saw her earlier and dived toward her in full speed, Thoruk's life depends on his speed.

Cardiloc the eagle swerved out of the way of the swipe and noticed the Dwarf Giant running towards them and thought to himself. "Oh fuck." before flying around the Guardian Giant and surveying its eyes quickly. Then he dived towards her eyes and began attempting to rip them out of his talons.

Dazed by the sudden decapitation by the Guardian Giant, Ha'zi struggles a bit getting out of the Warrior's neck. When he's out, he has a sudden scare as he looks below, and is very afraid of heights. He sees that Cardiloc is busy with the Guardian, so the only way to transform, he thinks, is by hurting himself up here. So, he bites down on his tongue, hard, hard enough to make it bleed, in hopes of transforming. He closes his eyes, and jumps forward off the body.

Daugo bites his lip, thinking quickly. His little band of injured and scared people would be practically useless against those seemingly unstoppable giants, and even if they weren't, he didn't have the strategic mind to figure out how they could be of help.

"Um... To the melon patch," he says to himself, wandering towards the only familiar place in the jungle that he knew how to get to. Besides, the melons would provide them a bit of energy and hydration. "Follow me," he says loudly. "Celeste, I'm going to need you to take charge of the group while I go back and... and help Dimitri with more refugees, but first, I'll lead you to a quaint little spot in this loathsome wood where you can forage some watermelons and rest in peace for a few minutes. If things get bad, run, don't wait for us."

Sigeric continued his charge, riding between the giant's legs to avoid the hammer swing as she turned around. He brought his horse to a rapid stop as he realized that the ground before him was covered in spikes. It appeared that he had run out of room. He quickly dismounted and turned to face the back of the giant once more.

Illmare saw the Flying Giant and was about to defend herself before she realized it was Iver.
"I need you to help me get off this mountain. The magma flow will reach us shortly."
She said before understanding the situation. She saw both Thoruk and the unconscious shifter and recognized the Elemental by its tattoo, a helix mark.
"Bring them close and I can transfer the power of the Elemental to Thoruk."

----------------

Daugo found the melon patch comfy. A lot of them huddled around him, taking him as their new leader.
"So, Elodrin and the brave ones charged the Giants to save us," Celeste said, finishing off the tale of how Elodrin had saved them. Daugo learnt that unlike the Gondorian, he was cowardly, and had hidden, chosing to remain in Aldamos than face the Giants. It was only by Elodrin and the brave slaves' sacrifices that he was alive.

------------

"No." Osk said, "We're the only ones left."
Osk gave Dimitri the body of Dean. The man was definitely dead. His head was missing, a rock must've bashed straight through it, decapitating him. The big Rhovanion man carried Elodrin who also seemed dead, a chunk of his torso along with a part of his shoulder was missing and his back seemed crushed. Silesia was the only one that appeared alive with some major cuts but nothing severe. Sam was also bruised but still helped his sister along.
"We need to get out of here-" Sam said before getting cut off by the noise of something charging towards them.
"INCOMING!" Osk said diving out of the way with Elodrin's body as the Dwarf Giant rushed past. Dimitri was hit with the full force of the Giant, smacking into its left arm and being tossed away. He was knocked unconscious by the blast and dropped Dean's corpse, his legs were crushed underneath the Dwarf. The pain was immense and he could barely understand what just hit him. He couldn't feel his legs...

---------------

The Guardian fell, smacking into the ground. It grunted, getting back up. Sigeric saw it had taken some damage from the spikes it had created but was healing rather quickly. The Guardian's legs were now out of the ground and he noticed something. A cord of some sorts, a string leading from the ground where the Guardian had transformed to the thing's leg. It was now moving about, yanking the cord as it walked.

The Guardian stood again only to be clawed to the face by the Hybrid Giant.

"Little shit. You may have inherited Cressna's powers but that doesn't mean I can't kill you!"

Cardiloc saw his talons only scratched at the armor covering its face, not cutting through to its eyes. It glared at him and swung its hands at the Hybrid, attempting to snatch it out of the air.

WHOOSH

The Warrior Giant stood in front of its previous body. The other body, blown away by the explosion of steam, fell to the ground. Before Ha'zi could do anything though-

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRR (Meow?)

A primal scream from behind him and the he saw the Dwarf Giant charging towards him, leaping straight for his face.

Iver landed next to her, dropping the unconscious dwarf and shifter carfeully and then sat next to them, resting to restore some of his energy before taking them off the mountain

The Warrior roars and goes for a grab around the Dwarf's neck. If it works, he will slam the Giant into the ground.
