VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Wiping the sick off his face with the back of his hand, Daugo gives Dimitri a dark glare that melts into a look of despair. "What did I ever do to deserve this?" he mutters.

After pushing his way out of the boar, Cardiloc would approach the others with the pearl. He would go straight to Illmare with his finding, "Hey, I, uh, found this. Might be important." Cardiloc shows her the object. 12253360

"I g-guess so..," Ha'zi replies, "but it feels.. wrong.. these giants didn't care about leaving until we came. It didn't bother me before.. but after the Guardian..." He sighs, "I don't know anymore. I just want to leave, Dimitri."

Ilmare was sitting on the rocks at the top of the cave. She seemed deflated and barely noticed anything around her until she was addressed by Cardiloc, "Must be some sort of gem-" she said, dejectedly, before taking another look at it and pausing. Her eyes widened, her mouth dropped and she uttered a sentence in that strange language before saying, "Give it to me, it is incredibly important that I have that."
--------------

Dimitri and Ha'zi stumbled upon the remains of the blast-crater. The fires had majorly stopped after the tidal waves hit yet many of the charred bodies, eradicated tree stumps and other objects still littered the hole. Dimitri found no signs of Celeste or Osk and Ha'zi found many bodies which were burned beyond recognition. It was horrifying, actually. Whom of these had been their friends? And who had been mere strangers? Celeste was certainly one of them and Osk too. Dimitri found an arm here and an eviscerated head there but nothing resembling his woman.

----------

Those back at the cave-top would be resting after the battle and would see the Giant bodies steaming, decaying and evaporating into the sky, leaving behind gigantic bones and skeletons on the beaches. One body hadn't decayed yet, the dead Crocolion's, which was for the most part, still intact, nearby them.

Cardiloc stared at the gem in his paw, it was incredibly beautiful and overcome by lust he shook his head to the maiar and kept the gem to himself...

Ilmare met Cardiloc with cold eyes and walked over to him before whispering to his animal form, "Protect that with your life since you mean to keep it. Never let it out of sight." Then left him alone. The others had yet to take notice of the jewel that Cardiloc carried.

Sigeric looked on as the Behemoth Shifter was torn to shreds by the Flying Giant, not averting his gaze. The man should have had a swift, clean death. He had clearly gone mad in the end, but at least now he could have some well-deserved rest. He walked over to Ilmare. "What happens next?" he asked in a low voice, out of earshot of Pyrus. "We are not yet ready to face the Valar."

"We disable Pyrus, I'll unlock the memories of the previous shifters so that you may understand and use their abilities and they may guide you, then I'll enact the spell to break the lock on this island and get you off it." Ilmare said to Sigeric, "Gather the others and inform them of the plan, those who survived with me know what is to come. We need to restrain Pyrus, preferably using a Giant Power, by wounding him and leaving him to heal, then we can proceed with our escape."

Sigeric had his orders. 12519458

Ha'zi would walk around the crater, face pale in horror. These husks... they were people he knew. Even though he didn't actually know many of them, they still were kind to the boy. Since their arrival on this damned island, all their friends have slowly been killed off. An entire city destroyed, too. Now, there's about ten remaining of the original hundreds of citizens and slaves that were with us. If we didn't leave soon, how many more would die?

But... there was still something important on this island. Ha'zi moved towards Dimitri, something clearly on his mind, "I.. have something to tell you. The only other person I've told this to was Eonwë a while before he died. W-would you like to know?"

At this point, Dimitri didn't feel anything. No anger, no sadness, just nothing. Seeing the dead littered the crater simply made him disgusted a bit, if anything. "If you feel its right, go ahead." Dimitri says, taking a nice long drink out of a cold coconut.

Dimitri and Ha'zi couldn't even bury the ashes of their friends. Sam found them and called them back to the cave. They were briefed on the plan. Restrain Pyrus and get their freedom.

Grimnir, Cardiloc, and Iver shed their Giant forms, eventually as there was no need for them and it would just tire them out.

Sigeric, Thoruk, Iver, Cardiloc, Ha'zi, Dimitri, Grimnir, Daugo, Margoz, Silesia, Sam and Marco along with Ilmare stood at the cave-top. Pyrus was surrounded, unbeknownst to him, of course. Ilmare gave them all a glance which, respectively, meant one thing: 'Take him down.'

Sam and Marco rushed Pyrus' back, silently, hoping the others were in on it as well.

Pyrus would hear the two men running to him, not friendly in any matter. Gripping his warhammer with two hands he would sigh face hardening. "So it begins." He would say before swinging his warhammer hard at the twos heads. If possible he would also go to dodge the crossbow bolt before or after swinging the warhammer at Sam and Marco.

Ha'zi takes a deep breath, then says, "My father... I saw him right before I met Keldar. In fact.. he's the reason I left camp. So, I followed my father for a long time in the jungle. Then, when i finally got close to him, he disappeared. Vanished. I think there's more on this island. Something made my father appear..." Ha'zi picks up his boar spear from his hunting supplies, and does a quick throw at Pyrus' front while he is distracted by Marco and Sam. 12253360

Pyrus' warhammer took time to swing and in that both the Gondorians dodged, veering off to each side, Marco to Pyrus' left and Sam to his right. Iver's crossbow bolt hit Pyrus' back hard and he saw the incoming spear from Ha'zi. He could dodge it, potentially catch it, actually, or he could take the hit and take down one of the two Gondorians.

Iver was halfway to Pyrus, coming up on his back with the daggers. The Maia heard the man behind him as well. There were too many of them. What would he do?

15756962 16315828 14628767

He would attempt to catch the spear in a way so that it would hit into one of the Gondorians. Once done that he would go to quickly unsling his mace looking deep inside his self for his extra strength and speed.
