VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Looking for a second at where his firstborn had gone, he tells his son "you can call me whatever you want. You can call me 'father' or 'dad', but I'd understand if you'd rather say 'Daugo', which is my name. I need to go and find some lodgings for the night, but I'll be back tomorrow, if your mother permits it."

Deslan took a deep breath, then clicked the lever. A loud sound as if dozens of thunderstrikes happened at the same time continuously ensued, as a chain of blades inside the sword started rolling on its own. Deslan rolled the blade in his hand in one fluid motion, then steadily approached the pack of wolves as tall as he could.

Daugo heard his name being called from outside the house.

Iver saw the door was closed but there were some lights on inside the house.

---------------

The wolves growled and backed off, one attempted to pounce on Deslan, jumping from behind on his back.

----------

Dimitri saw that there were enough. Elven in total.

"Daugo? are you in there?" He asked and knocked the door. 13527980

As he moves to hug his son, Daugo hears someone yelling outside. He writes it off at first as some nutjob being nutty, but then realizes that it's Iver, and that he's calling his name. He looks back without letting go of the boy, and mentally tells Iver to go to hell.
"Dammit," he says. "It's probably one of the lads from the fleet. I left in a bit of a hurry, I warrant they'll be wanting me back," he tells Pomona. "Give me a second to tell him off," he says, roughing up the kid's hair and walking to the door with a sour look.

"Bugger off, Iver," he calls out from behind the door.

The boy looked on as Daugo went to the door. Pomona still held onto the boy, still suspicious of her ex.

"Aye Daugo we kinda need to go and we better hurry up" He replied.

Daugo scoffs. "Clearly you don't have sons, Iver." He shakes his head, smiling. "I'm not going anywhere."

"so he got kids" Vlad told Iver. "Daugo, can you come out for a second? We need to talk in private" Iver replied, knowing that if daugo's family will hear their conversation they will consider both of them mad.

Ha'zi nods then walks into the stables. He saddles and chooses 5 horses, plus 1 pony for himself, and leads them back to the others.

"I'm doing this because we're friends, Iver, but you won't change my mind." He closes the door behind him. "If the world is going to end, I'd like to be with my family when it happens, and not away in some foreign land with people I've frankly known for only a couple of months." He gestures towards a hobbit-sized bench near a little herb garden in the hobbit-hole's front yard.

"daugo, I know this must be hard for you. But if you won't help us to stop melkor you basically killed your own kids. The only chance you got to see your kids having a future, falling in love, making a family, bringing their own kids to the world, Is by helping us. Let's just ignore the fact that they didn't see you for 20 years and that your wife will call the guards to finish the job they failed to do. Do you really want to live with them knowing that you are the reason that they will not have future?" He stopped for a shirt moment. "I know you will not do this for me, thoruk or anyone else from the group. But will you do this for your kids? Will you sacrifice your own joy so they will be able to live their own life? Are you that selfish, letting them die just because you don't want to leave them?"
He started to walk away, "if this will help you can help them with this". He grabbed his gold sack and tossed it to the ground next to the Hobbit. "Either way you can keep it. I don't think money can buy mercy from melkor"
He said and walked away toward the prancing pony.

"Y'know what? Fuck you Iver!" he cries after the Dalishman. "Fuck you and your gold, fuck Melkor!" He picks up a rock from the ground and throws it in the direction the man had gone, then plops down onto the bench to sulk.

His wife--no, Andreth's wife--had once given him an ultimatum. 'Leave the Haradrim whore, or I will kill her when you least expect'. He still remembers it. At the time, he'd written it off as crazy woman-talk. He'd kept seeing the delectable girl from the South for a few glorious months, even thinking of leaving his wife for her.

One day, he'd come to her little shack and found it burnt to a crisp. Daugo had not been there, but the pain and frustration Andreth had felt are a part of his own mind now.

"Fuckin' arses," he mutters to himself as he re-enters the hobbit-hole. "I'm going to be staying at the Pony. I'll be back; we have much to discuss. Have a good night," he says, giving his little one another quick hug before setting out towards the Prancing Pony.

Iver did not care for Daugo's reaction. At the end it will sink, maybe at night, maybe tommorow. But he knew that his words will effect the hobbit eventually.
"guys we need to go now" He told Thoruk and marco before he walked toward the nearest gate.

"Got it, but what about 'im?" Marco said pointing at Daugo who was walking towards the Prancing Pony. "Shouldn't we take him? Isn't he that big Giant?"

Daugo found the Prancing Pony's outsides to have changed radically. There were scorch marks and inscriptions in a strange language written over the floor in ash. A circle marked the place but it was cooling down. The doors to the Pony were closed. Barliman seemed to have shut it down for the night.

After Ha'zi brought the horses to the rest of the group, he spots Daugo. "What are you doing?" He says as he approaches the hobbit. 13527980
