VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"So, a Dunlending who is a dragon?" Elladan asked, a mixture of skepticism and sarcasm in his voice. "What else? Is one of you a sea serpent? What is the meaning of all of this? I lead you into my home and suddenly Maiar appear and start to kill my kin off. Why? Why did this happen? Why did my people have to die?!" Elladan exclaimed loudly at Cardiloc, clearly loosing his facade of calm.

"Settle yourself, grandson," Celeborn ordered him, placing his hand on the elf and an unspoken threat passed between them.

"Now, Cardiloc the Dunlending," The superior elf asked in a relaxed tone, "Are of a dragon or Dunlending descent? Who do you and your friends serve, the Black Enemy or Valinor? And why did those Maiar appear, what was their goal and who do they serve?" Celeborn asked him as Grimnir walked out of the council. None of the elves stopped him and who would? Good riddance. One less threat in their country.

Deslan started recounting (and counting with his hands) the past events while swinging on his chair.
''Well, myself and that group of people were enslaved and somehow ended up in a mystical island used to trap the Karoltai. Then Aule teleported me out of there, trained me to build machinery that no one is currently able to imagine while the rest of my group stayed behind as Eonwe with his paranoid valar and some rebellious maia that really likes licking Morgoth's arse toyed around with them.'' Deslan's chair stopped swinging as he crossed his arms on the table. ''Then Morgoth gets freed, these guys become Karoltai themselves, Manwe goes nuts and Aule sends me to get them to his own halls.'' He grunted. ''But apparently he didn't know his magical signal flares work for Valinor's shock troopers as well. At least, that's how I explain this happening. Aule really, really hates Manwe, you know.''

"So, Manwe is apparently 'nuts'." Elladan muttered softly. "Great." His grandfather gave him a sour look before turning back to ask,
"Morgoth is freed? So, it is the End of Days? Is the Battle of Battles upon us?"

The skies seemed to darken at the mention of this.

Ha'zi starts getting peckish when he gets upon the section on the Mumakil's diet and what to feed them. He sets down his book and goes over to the food area, choosing an apple and a few slices of meat. The Haradrim sits back down on his chair and eats as he listens intently to the council's discussion.
"Yup," Ha'zi replies between bites, "that Ilmarë lady tricked us and got him freed. One of our friends fell into the portal he came out of. Shame, he was pretty nice." 12253360

Cardiloc sighs as Grimnir left, "Excuse me just one second elves." He flew off immediately, picked up Grimnir and slammed him back down on the floor of the council. "Grimnir, ENOUGH!" He warned him, before turning back to the elves. "I serve neither, both are trying to kill me though." He answered their question honestly.

"And we're supposed to believe you?" Elladan questioned them.

Celeborn didn't silence him this time. It was a good question. How would they respond?

As Thoruk has no further interest in the discussions of the council he walks towards the food area, picks up a few slices of meat and heads out of the town, down a road near some waterfalls to a quite place near the water. "These lightnings... was that grandfathers spirit?" he asks himself as he looks onto his finger tips. "I wonder if I can learn how to control this properly" he thinks as he sits down. He rams his axe into the ground and closes his eyes. The dark colour in his mind, slowly forming a picture. Piece by piece, a bear was put together and then his grandfather. "Aye, that's indeed his spirit" the migthy dwarf thinks as he concentrates on the power within himself.

"The attack was evidence enough that something is up. We even had some special Maiar sent after Eonwë. They blame us for Morgoth's release, which Ilmarë was really to blame for. Back on the island, she chanted his name when she was performing the ritual for our escape and we even heard him." Ha'zi rants, "Now, before you guys accuse us of false things, we did not believe the ritual would free Morgoth. Ilmarë just told us it would let us return to Middle Earth, to our lives and families. Well, she was wrong on both accounts. Time passed 20 years. And here we are now, with the message of Morgoth's escape."

He takes a break, then picks up his apple, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'll get back to eating."

Sigeric rose from his seat, addressing the council. "I am Sigeric of Dale. I, along with the rest of my companions, was entrapped within a vortex of events far beyond my control. Despite being Karoltai, we do not serve Morgoth. But neither do we serve the Valar. Manwe has turned against the peoples of Middle-Earth, and betrayed your trust.
You have seen the destruction that his vanguard enacted upon your people." He turned to Elladan. "I understand your skepticism, but you cannot afford not to believe us. You have witnessed our powers today. You know that we are Karoltai. And I promise you: Dagor Dagorath is coming. Some of you were alive during the First Age, at the height of Morgoth's power. You know the destruction that he caused, far better than I. We came here for council, to learn how to best fight him. We are on the same side in this war."

Maglor and Glorfindel nodded in agreement. Celeborn addressed them all,
"Then we have no time to waste. We must alert the Free Peoples. Morgoth is coming and with him, the Dagor Dagorath. Manwe, you say has abandoned us, which is evident with the events of today. And you clearly care about Middle-Earth as we do. We were the exiled, the hunted, the abandoned. We are like you. Forgotten by the Valar. The Children of Illuvitar must unite and fight this scourge, Morgoth, alone. We did it before and delayed his assaults on Beleriand but we need the Might of the West if we are to slay him."

He continued, "According to the prophecies of Mandos, Morgoth will escape the void, which has happened. He will then resurrect his most powerful servants and wreak havoc upon the world. He will destroy the sun and bring darkness to the land, he will marr Arda and burn the world as it is, and only when the Valar unite together with the Children of Illuvitar shall they defeat Morgoth. Tulkas the Mighty, a Vala, will wrestle with Morgoth and Turin Tarambar shall be resurrected to slay him, stabbing the blade, Gurthang, through his heart, ending Morgoth once and for all. Then Arda shall be made anew and Eru shall come forth and we shall sing in the making of a new world."

He paused, "Or so the prophecy states. That must mean that Morgoth is resurrecting and gathering his most powerful servants as the sun has yet to be broken. If that happens, darkness will cover the land and his minions will be at the height of their power. Orcs will ravage everything. From the western shores to the eastern fields. All shall know the hatred of the Enemy. If you are correct, that means we have to alert all and bring a swift end to Morgoth before he reaps Middle-Earth. I shall send riders to Eriador, Rhovanion and south to the Reunited Kingdom where my grandson, Elrohir is living in the houses of the King Elessar. Together Middle-Earth can raise the armies to put a halt to Morgoth's destruction. If we cannot stop Morgoth then it will be up to the Valar to aid us and clearly, the Valar seem to have forsaken us. Maglor, summon the Noldor of Lindon; Elladan, ride south to your brother, the Greenleaf and warn them as well as the King of what is to come; Glorfindel, go east to Thranduil, his son and the Elves of the Forests, inform them of the stakes we face. Do not delay, hurry and go now." The elves stood up and took off with their orders, departing the council.

Then he turned to the Shifters and Deslan, "And what shall you do in these dark hours?" Many eyes fell upon Sigeric, Ha'zi, Daugo, Deslan, Iver, Cardiloc, Dimitri and Marco, whom had remained silent during the discourse.

"Eonwë told us we need to head to Mordor to defeat Morgoth and alert any nation along the way." Ha'zi replies.

"Thoruk and I are heading to Mt. Gundabad to find the crown of Durin the deathless" He looked at him in a lokk that means dont say a word, "to speed up the uniting of the dwarves. From there we will go to Dale and march with the army south"

After what seemed like days Thoruk opens his eyes again. "Aye, this was intense indeed." he grumbles as he slowly gets up and pulls his axe out of the ground. "I will have to train even more, but I have a good feeling that this will help me improve the power within myself." the migthy dwarf thinks as he walks up where he had come from, past the waterfalls and walks into the city once more, trying to find a place where he could sleep. "Aye.. I shall begin my journey before the sun raises, quiet and fast, Gundabad awaits and we have no time to lose" he thinks.

"Indeed, Eonwe told us to gather in Minas Tirith. Though I will return to Dunland to my people, to warn them and our distant kin in Enedwaith about the return of Morgoth. Ha'Zi will go with me." He explained to Celeborn.

"I will ride east, to my homeland, and convince the crown to raise an army to march south, if none among you have any objection. Tell me, what news from Dale? I have not been there in twenty years. That fact is still quite difficult to grasp."

"If my friends," he says, stressing the last word, "and conscience allowed me to do as I please, I would return to Bree and live the end of times with my children. Clearly I cannot, so I... I will go where I must," he finishes, staring into the distance and putting on his best unwilling-hero act.

"Daugo, thats very brave of you. By doing so you are saving your kids and make sure that they will have a future and may have better and safer life than you"- Iv the positive

"Raising armies and sending them south to Mordor will require years to coordinate and accomplish. We must stop Morgoth before he can destroy the Sun. If he does, then the land shall be covered in shadow and no matter the armies, we shall be defeated by his minions. Even then, his own minions alone are a threat without him. Sauron nearly defeated the Free Peoples when he was allowed to fester. We cannot allow Morgoth to fester, otherwise, it shall be the end of us. Who of you shall be brave enough to fight Morgoth before he can raise his minions? To journey south immediately? If he raises Sauron and the Balrogs our chances of defeating him will become even more dismal than they already are. So, who shall do it? Who shall fight the Black Enemy?" He asked them all.

Many elves stood and pledged to do so.

Azura glanced at Pyrus, "Lead the way, metal-boy." She joked, patting his shoulder.
