VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Iver found Marco and Thoruk wading through the crowds outside the Palace, seemingly stuck. Idiots.

"Glorfindel," The elf embraced Dimitri suddenly without his permission, "Well met." Then disengaged from the Forochelrim and walked off with the elf towards a great hall of sorts towards the Ered Nimrais.

Dimitri felt something. His hand. It was strange once more. Stone, white stone like the marble of the Citadel. It slowly dissipated from his hand, shriveling away until it was back to flesh. What was this? Why had it happened again?

Cardiloc noticed the huge Forochelrim. He still remembered how Dimitri had abandoned them and taken their sacks with him. He was the reason Ela nearly froze in the cold nights. But wait...What was happening to Dimitri's hand? It seemed to change colour and become paler for a moment before returning to normal.

"Aye fckers, we need to get to my house, Marco please take Thoruk and show him the place and the shower especially" Iver said before thinking, his father must have had a horse, but where he could put it? IS their mansion so big that they had private stables?

"Aye, well that's a kinda tricky thing. Some sort of witch literally teleported herself and a child into the king's halls and guess what." Thoruk grumbles as he get's off of the horse. "The kid was the shifter you saw back then. And I ain't even joking lad. At first I was like wtf aswell, but jea.." he stopps as he sees Iver walking towards them. "Shower? Sounds tempting lad, but I still need'a grab my weapons" Thoruk says. "And we wanted to grab some supplies at the market, is your house far away from the market?" he asks Iver.

"I got yar weapons" Iver said and gave him his stuff. "You cant buy stuff in the market with no money, how did you think to pay for our supplies?" He asked the dwarf 13615485

Sigeric took his weapons silently, and walked towards the ruins of the library. Everything had been going so well, yet the group's fortunes had changed in an instant. Sigeric had acted with the sole intention of protecting the group and the king, but it wasn't enough. He recalled the two interlopers who had appeared from thin air. How could one fight against an enemy who could be anywhere at any time?

Iver handn’t seen any stables in his mansion or around it but did notice that there was a local stables in the area around the Volfovich house. Perhaps that was it?

Marco already had two horses and simply waited for Iver and Thoruk to return with him. He had lost the way to Erland’s house and needed some help finding it, though he did not want to ask Iver. The man seemed to be more off than usual. Another shifter had appeared and destroyed half the Palace. Didn’t Erland take Iver there? Where was Erland? He connected the dots and remained silent as it dawned upon him.

Sigeric saw the ruined gallery, the collapsed roof, the dead bodies. He saw the bodies buried beneath rocks, laid out on the ground, some too squashed to be recognizeable. Had these been his friends long ago? Had he known these guards?

He witnessed the living guards pulling rocks off another body, one nearly completely crushed by rocks, only a single hand was left uncovered. It was the person closest to them when Sigeric prematurely caused the boy to transform. Iver’s father. The man who had arranged the meeting for them. The man he personally hated. The man who had done his family down. The man who allowed Sigeric to hijack his own meeting, subsequently leading to this carnage. The man who lay buried under a pile of rocks because Sigeric had taken a gamble and failed.

Bard II’s body lay covered in dust nearby. His eyes were shut and his face stoic like rock. His chest had been caved in to the point where Siberia could see a rib protruding from it, sickly white and glistened with dried blood. A pool of black crimson lay about him and Sigeric knew that this great man, this King, who had trusted them from the start, placed faith in them had been let down. It might as well have been Sigeric who transformed and killed him. It was his fault. The dead guards, Erland’s death and Bard II’s reign coming to a short end. Dale would no longer support him, not after this. Especially with Luincrist as King. He had essentially handed a tyrant cockroach the crown and doomed his own city. What a patriot Sigeric was.

The regret. The damage. The failure.
It all seeped into the cracks in his mind.

Outside the room was a hallway. To his left was the exit, or so he remembered. To his right was the new source of light.

Which would Daugo take?

Iver got one one of marco's horses. "Come on i dont have all day" He said and started riding toward his home, expecting Marco and thoruk to follow.

Thoruk was on Marco's horse and the two followed Iver back to the Volfovich Mansion.

"I'm going to return the horses to the stables I rented them at," Marco told Iver, "Unless you want to use that one?" He motioned to Iver's horse.

((You may commence your time-bubble Laketown Event.)) 14628767

"Yes, I got some things to do in Lake town before we leave" Iver said and after taking the house keys, he took the path toward laketown. ((time bubble))

"Alright," Marco said as Iver left.

"Come along, Thoruk. It's time to give you a bath." Marco laughed whilst leading Thoruk into the Volfovich Mansion. Thoruk had his go at bathing, using soaps, and getting a goodnight sleep.

Marco stayed up awaiting Sigeric at the front door. The Dalishman should be coming anytime soon.

---------

Iver found his sister's little house after twenty minutes. It was afternoon at this point and they should still be up. Vlad, her husband, would logically be out fishing unless he took the day off.

"He's like me, I don't see another way out of this..." Cardiloc shook his head. "Hazi, cut yourself, now!" He told the boy.
--------
"Dimitri, why the fuck did you just leave us like that in the Adorn, my sister almost froze to death because of you." The dunlending questioned the northman angrily.

As stone turned to flesh and the strength of the earth left him, Dimitri felt strangely okay. It was a feeling he felt when his metal arm was replaced with one of flesh. He shook it off and replied to the Dunlending, "Because I felt like leaving the place where my parents were kidnapped. You did not pursue me. You did not tell me no. Is it not your fault that you were unprepared?"

Iver knocked on the door, he didn't know how will his sister react this time and he was a little bit nervous. Last time he was here he cut his hand and ran away like a mad man.

There was only one room down this hallway. The door was open and a light was streaming out of it. Daugo smelt burning wood. A fire.

If he turned to peek inside he would see his trainer sitting on the floor, legs crossed, back to him, staring into the fire.

"Only fifteen minutes, huh," The man muttered without having to turn around.

The embers crackled.

"Patience, Burgins. Patience is what defines a person. Be they man, dwarf, elf, hobbit, orc or whatever else lay out there in the great beyond. Learn patience and you decrease the chances of making rash decisions which can lead to mistakes. Learn patience and eliminate your mistakes."

13527980

-------------

The door slid open and Erika Volfovich stood there, staring back at him.

"Iver?" She seemed much calmer than last time and noticed his arm had grown back. "Wha-how?"

14628767

"I went to check on my mother and sister, my mother was kidnapped too. By the time I returned you were gone and I had little energy left to pursue you. You took most of our camping supplies, my sister almost froze to death because of that decision." The dunlending snapped back to Dimitri.

"He's the warrior giant not much speed there , by the time we returned you were long gone. We're not Rangers? Beside time was against us." The dunlending cooled his anger.

"C-Card... i thought you knew about my fear of heights... I don't think we should do that, anyways." He stands there, worried and confused as to what to do.
-------
"I was going to head after you, but you were too far ahead." Ha'zi mumbles to Dimitri.
