VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

"Of course," Miriel said, nodding, "And you may be a barbarian but I respect you nonetheless," she laughed before returning to the earlier point on Ha'zi, "You and me, we'll protect him, together. He is a fragile flower, and yes, that's coming from a lady of Langstrand so don't even try and jape about that, Card."

"Mmhm." Card nodded to Miriel. "Well, I've got to speak to Sig. See you later." The Dunlending walked off to find Sig. 12519458

"See you," Miriel nodded, guided her horse and rode up to Ha'zi's side, glancing at him before continuing on in silence.

After an hour, most of them had returned. Nearly a hundred Maiar stood before Pyrus. Thalol and Naison had yet to return from the east but he had the others. There was quite a collection of them. Two drakes had been gathered, two winged dragons, four non-winged ice drakes, twenty ice and fire spirits, a couple Maiar of Ulmo which looked rather odd with seashells and nautili as bodily decorations, some wind spirits of Manwe, a legion of fifty strong warrior Maiar dedicated to Manwe including Azura, and the remainder made up of Maiar of Orome, Yavanna, Vana, Este, Varda and Aule of course. Mairon had not returned, it seemed he was busy with his 'pet projects' as he liked to call them.

"Romestamo," The robed old man said to his partner, "How much further?"

"A month. Perhaps two. We ventured far and wide to complete our duties. It's time we returned home. He bid, us, remember." His partner, another old man with a great beard that had been dyed blue answered.

"Manwe, yes. But not Orome..." The other blue-bearded, teal robed man said with hesitation as he stepped over a large rock.

"Orome is no longer our Lord. After his betrayal, Manwe barred him from Valinor. Do well to remember that, Morinehtar. We serve Valinor and Manwe as its King. Now come along you bumbling weasel."

The teal colored one grumbled and bumbled, "Orome was good to us. He treated us with dignity and respect, do well to remember that..." he huffed out and followed his fellow Blue Wizard down the rocky steppes of Rhun.

The journey ahead was calm and peaceful. The flora and fauna of Ithilien sprouted about: Sigeric caught a fly in his visor, Thoruk saw a brown hare in a bush, even Ha'zi noticed a squirrel in the trees.

"'Ey, you lads see that?" Marco asked, pointing towards a tiny blue feathered jay which perched on a branch ahead of them. It ruffled its feathers and took off as their column passed beneath it.

Ithilien could be described with so many words but on this eventful day....it was....resplendently breathtaking.

((Hopefully this is before Miriel moves up to Ha'zi, and I honestly wanted this to be out of of earshot, but oh well.)) "I'll definitely consider that, thanks, Daugo." He smiles, then notices how close they are to Miriel. Shit. She probably heard everything.

"Oh, um, can we move somewhere else to talk?" He whispers nervously to the hobbit.

((Ha'zi))
"So you mimic your enemies moves and use them against them, very interesting. How do you fight while your not shifting and what can you transform into?"

He laughed for a second, then replied to the elf, "No, no, I should have been more specific. I meant I copy the other giants' abilities, not all enemies. Heh, sorry. And, well, I don't really have a fighting style outside my giant form. Dimitri," Ha'zi points at the man,"he taught me some combat moves with a boar spear. That's pretty much all I know, besides how to use some hunting equipment, like a bow or sling." The boy shook his head at the second part of the elf's question, a bit confused. "I already told you, Zaro. A giant version of myself is what I shift into. A lot more muscular, though." He adds with a slight grin. 13873166

"Well, I suppose I could train you also in combat if you would like. Just tell me when you're ready to begin and I would be open to train you. What combat form or strategy do you tend to use while in giant form? And is there anything else i can help you with relating to combat?"

The boy's eyes lit up at the offer. "Sure! I've been wanting to train for a while, so I'd like to do so. But I don't really know a lot about combat forms or strategy, maybe you could teach them to me, too? You seem to know quite a lot about fighting yourself."

"Sure. Maybe we do some training while camped on the way to mordor, just ask when you want to train and I will teach. What have you fought in the past with your giant?"

He thought for a moment, then said to Zaro, "I've fought most of the giants while we were on the island. The Destroyer, the Dwarf, the Guardian, and the Behemoth, although I was out pretty quickly for him. I also helped fight 2 beasts called Crocolions on the island, which are basically crocodiles, but near the size of us giants. They were pretty hard to fight off, since their size and hard skin, plus they had really long, spiked and sticky tongues. But we eventually killed one and drove off the other. My only other combat experience was off the island, when I fought a few orcs."

"Training at the camp sounds like a good idea- we obviously can't do that here now, yeah. Need to ask me anything else now, Zaro?" Ha'zi asked him. 13873166

"One last thing. What is the destroyer, what are its abilities, what does it look like, and who controls it, just in case we might have to face it again, as it was mentioned in the house of orders but not covered."

The Southron tried his best not to let his anger show as he explained the Destroyer to the intimidating elf, "The Destroyer is basically my Giant but with better arms, mostly throwing-wise. Deadly and accurate with throwing, plus he's part of the few of us that can speak in our giant forms. His looks are that of a really bulky man with long arms and a big white beard. The shifter's name is Grimnir, who seems to be absent, which is pretty nice since he's rather annoying, but unfortunately we actually need him." 13873166

"Well thank you for the information, and just ask for training and I will teach whenever I can. Do you happen to know where the other shifters are?"

"Yep," Ha'zi said. "There's Dimitri and Cardiloc nearby, just over there," he points to the two,"and Sigeric was just here, but he went to talk to Iver, so you should probably talk to the other two right now." 13873166

"Sure thing," he said, smirking and falling back in the line a bit. "Come, come. All right. So, here's what you'll do. Since you're so insistent on taking it slow, you'll do just that. However," he grinned wickedly, "if the chance to do what we talked about presents itself, you have to promise me that you won't turn it down. The world is ending, dammit. You got it?"

"But, well, I don't know how to do that. I don't know how any of that really works, Daugo. D-do you know?" Ha'zi asks.

"I've got two boys, of course I know how it works," he said matter-of-factly. "It's not very complicated; 'if it fits it's legit', is what I've always said. You'll know what I mean when you get to it." He paused. "But there's something else I need to talk to you about. You seem to be really into this Miriel, and that's great, but don't let it dim your wits. Love..." he said, his voice mellowing down, "love can blind you." He sighed, his gaze lost in nothingness.

"Um, ok, I guess that makes sense." Ha'zi says, listening intently. He tilted his head, a bit confused on what he meant at the end. "What do you mean by that? Do you... do you not like Miriel?"

"That's not what I meant, Ha'zi. It's just that I've been betrayed by people I loved and trusted, and I don't want you to let your guard down like me," he said patientily. "That's all."

"Ah, I'll make sure to remember that. Thanks for the advice, uncle Daugo." Ha'zi said with a wink and chuckle. "It should help me out with her. See you later, Daugo." He says as he departs, ready to finally talk with Miriel with the hobbit's words in mind. Unfortunately for him, he was caught mid-way by Zaro. ((Conversations: CONCLUDED.))

--------------------
((Sorry Cap, but I am NOT leaving that there))
Ha'zi rubbed his eyes and yawned as he viewed the new room he and Ela were given to sleep in for the night. He went into the room first, putting away all his supplies under the bed. Exhausted from all the travel they've done recently, the Southron was ready to just collapse in the room right there and then. But as he was getting comfortable, he slowly remembered that he and Ela would have to share a bed.

Which was pretty creepy and awkward. No way would he be sleeping with his friend's little sister. Shaking his head, Ha'zi got up from the bed and went out into the hallway, where Ela had been waiting for him to put away his gear and the group's supplies from Rivendell.

"Hey, Ela, you can come in now. I'm going to be sleeping on the ground, you can have the bed to yourself, all right? And don't worry about me, I still have a blanket from earlier to keep me warm." He grins.

Hopefully the little Dunlending girl was ok with her sleeping situation, and if so, Ha'zi quickly passed into blissful sleep in the room he shared with Ela.
-------------
((And so re-readers aren't
like, "wtf, you guys completely didn't talk about this again or how they got to Tirith. what happened????))
"Guys, f-follow me." He said urgently to the group. Ha'zi led the group away from the guards into a safer, non-lethal area in Edellhond. "Everyone, back up!" The boy addressed the others. Once the group was far away enough, Ha'zi bit down on his tongue and transformed into the Warrior. Noticing the guards were almost upon them, he roared at them with the intention of scaring them.

The giant then picked up his friends and carried them away to a safe area away from Edhellond and towards the large pearly city of Minas Tirith. When they were close enough to the city, he exited his giant form and walked the rest of the way with his group to the gigantic home of Men.
--------------
"He's this tough dwarf in our group. Not the brightest, and pretty aggravating." Ha'zi replied to the curious Ela.
------------
He stifled a laugh at Ela's comment. "No, no, it is "capital crime", not punishment. Anyways, both are really bad, so we have to leave." The Haradrim boy whispered to Ela.
-------------
After his conversation with Zaro was over and the boy got back on his horse, he felt rather troubled at what he would do now. Daugo's encouragement was still heavily lingering on his brain, but as Miriel drew nearer, he thought of everything but.

What would he say to her now? How much had she overheard him talking about her? Why did it suddenly feel so hot? Is Miriel angry at him for talking about their time together to Daugo? Should he have stayed with her earlier instead of dashing off to those elves? What about talking to her about last night, would that help him? Or would it make it even more awkward?

As she finally drew her horse next to Ha'zi's, the boy was absolutely tongue twisted and a nervous wreck. What would he say now? He had to say something, he probably looks so weird to her right now.

Ha'zi took a deep breath. You can do this. Just say something simple. He turned to her and finally said, "Oh, Miriel, didn't see you there."

Gotta say more than that, dummy. Think of something else. He paused for a second as he scoured from his thoughts thinking of what to say next. And lo and behold, he actually thought of something to say.

"I, um, noticed you looked pretty exhausted earlier. Not a good sleep?"  Ha'zi said in a concerned voice.
