Soo, since lego posted his top-10-movies-of-all-time list, I thought I might aswell do that too, so here goes Also, I will add the things for which I liked a movie to my list for the top 5 movies
Note: this list only includes movies I HAVE SEEN, so don't get all mad at me
1. LOTR: The Return of the King
Reasons: Come on, it's the finally of everyone's alltime favorite fantasy franchise! Aragorn's battle speech, Theoden's battle speech, the Battle of the Black Gate, the Charge of the Rohirrim, Battle of Minas Tîrîth, Legolas and the Olifant action, boring Frodo-and-Sam-scenes... no wait, that something bad right? No like honestly, when the Rohirrim started shouting "DEAAAATH!!" and then the army rode into battle, I just fell off my couch and nerded all over the floor
Also 1. Star Wars: The Empire strikes back
Reasons: Yeeaah, I KNOW you are all gonna think I'm a complete weirdo, but I actually liked this one more than Return of the Jedi, because honestly - Battle of Hoth, we first meet Yoda, Luke vs Darth Vader along with one of the greatest lines ever to be said in movie history that even people who haven't seen the movie know... also, I always feel like the enjoyability of a movie takes a total dive if the movie is the end of a franchise, because you want to see the characters again, and you have learned to love and hate them, and it's just like you're letting something important slip away...
ALSO Also 1. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Reasons: Do I really have to throw arguments in here...?
2. LOTR: The two Towers
Reasons: This was probably the first fantasy battle I have ever seen in my life (appart from Narnia ), so the movie was a total flash for me. Helms Deep, I ain't saying more.
Also 2. Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3
Reasons: Well... it's POTC...
3. Matrix
Reasons: This movie was revolutionary in multiple ways. First of all, it was the first (and, as far as I know, only) movie to portrait that sort of aspect to our world. Secondly, the film was revolutionary in it's graphic portrayal (I mean wth, that movie is from 1999 and has those graphics?!) and thirdly, it was revolutionary for the way scripts where written.
4. The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey
Reasons: YES, I DID like this movie, against what the other "true fans" might say (seriously, f*ck this fandom crap!). It had a solid plot, I LOVED the movie's portrayal of Thorin because that's PRETTY MUCH how I imagined him when I read the book, I don't think it's bad they made more than one movie because you couldn't have stuffed that whole storyline into one movie, and Bilbo Baggins is REAL GOOD with Martin Freeman, amazing job on that one Martin! While I DID enjoy the third movie, it wasn't exactly a good movie as such, I just enjoyed the battle (so basically, it's "The 300" 2.0 ). Hobbit 2 was okay, but not as good as the first one, and it was already a bit too much action movie. I also kinda liked the story in that one though.
Also 4. LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring
Reasons: This was the first LOTR I saw and BAYUM, I was flashed! With the struggle to reach Rivendell just to find out the Ring isn't safe there, the gathering of the Fellowship, the Mines of Moria and Boromir's Last Stand (which was REALLY good btw), I have to say this is a movie you should watch if you haven't yet.
5. Guardians of the Galaxy
Reasons: Just overall a really cool movie, I'd even go so far as to give it 9-10/10 points.
6. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
So YEAH, that was my list. Some of you may wonder why it doesn't reach to No. 10, but if you actually read what I said above the list, you'll notice I said my "top 10 movies", and this is 10 movies.
