the most successful forum rp I have done is not one that involve s lots of people controlling lots of stuff. but them just controlling their character with a sword or a gun or what ever weapon and the DM controlling the rest of the stuff.
Star Wars would be fun as long as it is less focus on Jedi v. Smith cause that's stuff isn't as fun. Or a game of thrones rp during the century of blood in Essos where people control the free cities, dothraki, unsullied armies, slavers, or even a dragon lord.
I'd rather see some medieval stuff, although I will adapt if more go SW. That said, I agree with 4289752, controlling nations seems boring to me. As 7396155 said before, that's borderline too complicated. I don't want to play a strategy game. I just want to RP.
battles are calculated by TW so I have decided that controlling kingdoms where battles are decided by TW is a good idea. that way no one can claim the other side would not of won and them DM ***** happens and resets everything.
I don't know what the TW thing 4289752 mentioned means, but if your victory is dictated by calculations, it ruins the strategy element of the strategy game that is being pushed with the armies.
