Can someone post that meme with that guy who suggests adding more staff right after the someone else says "we added more staff, so what should we do now?"
Alright, before 1 more person says, "We need more staff". Answer this to me. Who currently meets the requirements? I am busy right now due to work, but I am still talking to fellow staff members on skype once and awhile. We need someone we can trust, someone who is MATURE. Answer to me that, cause I am NOT seeing any candidates that we could truly trust to be mature enough with that kind of power.

Cookie would be good, but he doesn't go on siege, that might be a problem. If you could get him to that would be great!
This is my opinion. On my last count, there is 10 moderators or staff members. 5 are inactive, 3 hardly come on online for personal reasons, and Tim, Titan, and Only come on every once in a while to siege. (they are on build a lot though 
) If the E.W. staff became active, (but they cant they are doing their person stuff) we wouldn't have this issue, but I don't blame them for being busy. The pre mods that got chosen are somewhat inactive, they might come every once in a while onto siege. (most likely personal reasons too) I know it is hard for the staff to choose a good moderator, but I am quite sure there is one out there. *try to choose someone responsible, trustworthy, active, and well known*

I've been on siege for a couple years, most of you know me well and I count myself lucky enough to even be liked by a few of you. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. I'm in 'Murica, so I can cover the EST crowd, I'm responsible, I'm very trustworthy - I won't nuke you I swear >.> - and I'm super active, on the forums practically all day. And I'm well known. Smurf is also a good candidate but he can only cover the Europe time zone like the rest of the staff. I submit my body, mind, soul, and nipples to you as a candidate for modship.

Actually, from America there should be IWN4 and if I'm not wrong then Titan as well.
And, I believe most of the people, who would have made a good mod are already inactive or left. But what do I know, I haven't been online for ages, so my view point is kind of ... old.
The staff-team is kinda small indeed, but as Titan said, theres barely anyone who is active on the forums and ingame, and also mature enough to deal with stuff..
I'd rather just have Only going back to full activity... ^^
chances are small that will happen tho, so maybe add a rank "Helper", which would be a rank you could apply for if you'd want to be a member of the staff team, and if these certain helpers would be good enough, they would be promoted to pre-mod, and so on. And if the helpers are not good enough, they would be demoted, back to what they used to be.
This way there will surely be a bunch of people who seriously want to become helpers, and they will most likely try their best to become pre-mod.
Now you obviously think; wow, then there will be 2342348923 mods within a year. The answer is no, Tim will never accept anyone who he doesn't think could ever become pre-mod. So there wouldn't be more than 10-15 of them anyways, and there would be more staff online way more often.
By this I'm not saying I want more staff. But if theres gonna be more staff, this might be a way to go

Can we lock this thread please, the staff choose who gets picked for their own reasons, not yours. You may think "I have made a ban apeal I am worthy" or "I ran a server but we closed it during development." We don't need maturity nor do we need people thinking because they are old they deserve the right, we need people who have the skills and the capacity to run a server that exeeds 50+ players a day. Anwser me this, Do you honestly feel capable of doing this without lying to yourself? I know for a fact first hand what it is like to be staff and honestly I do not feel I am up for it and I am proud of my descision as I am being true to myself and more importantly you guys. Stop thinking about power because believe me the staff can see right through peoples lies and dark deeds and I dont want Empire War to fall into the hands of lesser men. You might call me a snob or power hungry but I am only telling the truth and if that hurts you truley are not worthy. Also may I add I dont think I want staff for the reasons I said aboth purely because anything I do to help is for you! And I do not need some OP powers to prove that, I have been through allot on that server and all I want is it to be in good hands. That is why you can be staff, yeah I know what you are thinking, "he just said we could not be?" Well for a fact you can, you can do your civil service to Empire War by telling people not to do stuff or reporting. All you do as a staff member is to ban and build, tell me, Were we not able to do that before? We can prove our skills at building in Build Days and our knowlage of banning through reporting... We dont need more staff is what I am saying. All we need is people to help. Because I can tell you. I am happy the rank I am and I think you should be too.

No one was doing any of those things.
Titan, people who turn staff usually force themselves to act more mature in chat. If you saw me as a player, you'd never add me to the staff team. Because I am decently immature and not the best at English. The big factor requirement is trusted and active. And judging by how I oped about 20 people on the build server, and no one griefed anything. There's quite a lot of trusted members on EW. Sadly, not to many active.
Personal opinion: I want staff who is a bit immature, those are usually more fun talking to. I don't want some strict staff who asks someone to keep the caps down when they're Role playing some quotes from the LOTR films. But as long as they punish fairly and is serious when it's required.
To Ice: I kinda made this thread to make Tim realize that 90% (probably more) of the community wants more staff, including me ofc. And that this isn't an issue which should be cast aside, or "do it later". But rather as fast as possible.
