First Session of the Bards

Hmm, as I see it, we have three conflicting claims: Gondor was the original owner and founder. It lies in Rohan's territory. The Onodrim would make good stewards of it.
I suggest we give it to the Ents, but make it neutral ground, for the holding of conferences and councils.

One little question:

What do you bards actually do? I know you all write stories etc, but I don't see how ruling a part of Middle - Earth fits in being a bard.

When did a bard rule something in history tell me that then explain why bards chose who rules what?
Seems like a attempted dictatorship

Also, Dimitri, this is Pre-Hobbit, as Thu said, so there would be no corruption in Isengard, and you would be at peace with Saruman. But anyway, I agree with Mr_CookieSmurf and ds_nine. When were Bards suddenly in charge of choosing who would be King of a nation?

Bards don't choose people to be Kings, Lords, etc, and they don't host elections... BARDS JUST MAKE SONGS, STORIES, POEMS, ETC.

Yes, that is what we do.
None of us rule something because we are a bard. We rule something because we have another title. For example, dimitri WON AN ELECTION so he can rule Rohan. You would be able to rule Leo, except you GAVE UP YOUR POSITION so I wouldn't be complaining
Again, if you ACTUALLY READ OUR MISSION STATEMENT you would see that we only make decisions and that those who really care so much about us being 'dictators' don't have to listen. We just believe that we represent the will of the people as best as possible. You don't see anyone else trying to make these decisions, probably because they don't care that much. This is RP, which most people don't care about. But, if you DO care a lot, then why don't you create a character and get involved? Leo, I believe you are the mayor of the shire? That gives you a right to claim a whole bunch of land, doesn't it?

I never actually understood why only beepbobit could hold elections. Why can't someone like Rolo or Only do it?
I do it because NO ONE ELSE WANTS TO.
If someone else wanted to hold a FAIR election, without their own bias, which would allow ANYONE to apply to be on the election, then I'd be all for them doing it. (But I'd like to be involved to make it more fair)

See, EVERYONE GOTS TO BE RAINING ON OUR PARADE, EVERYONE WANTS TO BE IN THE BARDS!
Leo... You gave up your position as king... Willingly so.. Don't cry.

People, I'm king of the Dwarves, Dimitri's archon of Rohan, Super (I think)'s chieften of Rhun.
We are also allowing other leaders (like Leo, mayor/thane of the Shire) to join in, not all bards are in this particular bit of discussion as not all bards are leaders of groups. King, Hents, Pwner, and several others aren't kings or princes or whatever.
And Cookie, that's a good question about the bards (first one I've ever heard xD ). Basically, we write stories and such, but we also roleplay. It's sort of a writers' and roleplayers' club, with exclusive access.
And again for all you people out there.
NO. YOU CANNOT JOIN US. We hold elections every now and then when we need more.

So, back on topic.
Yeah, because that's the Gap, which is part of Rohan's western border, and I believe you claimed Dunland? Good for you, maybe you can keep them in check.

Well, I assume Leo will take control of the Shire. Cpt is mayor of Breeland, so he controls Bree and Chetwood, as well as all land west of there along the road to the shores of the Brandywine. Gondor's borders are pretty much pre-defined, Lefnul to the west, Harnen to the south, Dagorlad and Nindalf to the north, and the Ephel Duath to the east, while the Merring Stream and the Onodlo making the borders for Anorien. the Elves' parameters are pretty much defined by Mirkwood, with the Mts. of Mirkwood to the south, as well as the woods' edge for Lorien. Rivendell is defined by the two forks of the Bruinen. Lindon is all the area west of the Ered Luin and all the way to the Tower Hills. Rhun's northwestern border is the Carnen, while its southern and western territory ends at the Hills of Rhun, and since they claim Khand, all the way to the southernmost part of the Ephel Duath. Dale is from . . . well . . . Dale, along the Celduin, all territory in 10 miles on each bank, until it intersects with the Carnen.

Questions? Additions?

I agree to this, as long as you agree to position fortresses at the eastern ends of the Ered Lithui and Ephel Duath, to prevent anyone . . . shall we say, coming home?

And Beep, no threat, I was just making sure no one tried to sidetrack us with things like AJKDSJ 10 MILL ORCS ATTACKING MINAS TIRITH AASKJDFJE.

Now, there is a rather delicate matter I wish to discuss, and that is the ownership of Isengard.

If you're talking to me I just want Rhun, the Orocarni, The river from the Sea of Rhun to Dale, and maybe Khand.

Stfu Kordian, you're one of the reasons why I stopped doing this lil RP stuff in the first place, and if anything, in my opinion, Thu should be leader of the bards, he'd be best at it, but that's just my opinion. And what I'm saying is, if you're all bards, how come you choose your position? Like who granted you as cupbearer of the King and all that shizzz, Beep?

Objection, Eastern Chief.
I believe Dale would like to hold territory down to the Carnen, and I support this claim. However, I do not object to all the way to the Carnen.
Also, another objection: Dwarves live in the Orocarni, four tribes of them. They are not Longbeard, but they are Dwarves, and I would not see their mountains usurped.

And thanks, Leo. :)

Actually, tim did, if you read my stories. You could say it's the only official title I've ever given or gotten, as a mod gave it to me.
I don't see why Thu would make a better leader than myself, considering he is saying EXACTLY what I am saying save the fact that you for some reason respect him more than you respect me, and therefore don't care what I say and only listen to him. Thu deserves respect, but so do I. Plus, thu is already the king of the dwarves. I control NOTHING, so don't try to take away the bards from me.
But I agree also with leo on the point about Kordian.
Kordian, stop talking, you don't know what you're saying. Stick to Gondor.
