True, it doesn't change a thing. However your statement suggest that Columbus was the first westerner to discover the Americas. Leif Ericson is the first person from Europe credited with the discovery of the Americas.

Personally i found this thread very informative, didn't know that there was a battle of New Orleans or that America attacked Canada.
These little fragments of knowledge that will stay with me.

Should be more threads full of interesting information.
