If it's not too much to ask, would it be okay for me to be in this machinima? I'd be open to basically playing any character and I've had experience with acting in Minecraft in the past!
You know this isn't really acting irl. It is just typing it in Minecraft, so everyone would be good

Why not instead of typing in chat we just have the lines appear in text on the screen if we aren't having voice overs. It'd be kinda cheesy to have just the minecraft chat. If the person filming would stand there recording it all with the chat, you'd also see the person's inv slots and his hand. This would not only be cheesy, but would suggest a 1st person view the entire film, and we want 3rd person. So if you turn it on cinematic mode (where it makes the inv slots/hand disappear) it also makes the chat disappear. Also if we had text edited in for the lines this would mean people could walk while speaking their "lines."

We probably wouldn't have a person as the Balrog, it's suppose to be huge. Maybe just use the Wither like on the Moria map.

I'd like to take part in acting - perhaps Haldir (if not maybe Prince Imrhail?) but I think I'd prefer to have a part in the script.
I'd also recommend this mod - http://lotrminecraftmod.wikispaces.com/home it has everything - walking ents, to gondorian knights and orcs; lambread and Mallorn trees etc etc. I'd also strongly recommend subtitles as MC chat would suck. Though, getting the mod would mean that everybody would have to download it and use a different server. But I'd think it'd be worth it.
