Reporting

There isn't really any immediate intensive to report people right now. Yes, if you do a kek tonne of reporting, the staff say 'thank you', but that isn't much. On an average game, if people see a hacker they won't do anything - especially if they are on their team. So, what incentive can be given to report hackers? I guess this could work for rulebreakers in general, but that would be a bit kekky.

1) Give the players who report a set reward. Lets say 200 pts or something.
2) Give all players who submit valuable evidence on report a share of the cash :D
3) Perhaps the amount of reward given could be dependant on how valuable the evidence is. This might be a bit complicated.
4) The kekkiest option: Give the reporter of a hacker all of the hacker's in game credits :D

Honestly, people submit plenty of reports everyday. To give them rewards for all those reports just seems useless, because the reward that they do get is a safer EmpireWar. :thumb:

By the way, if this was put into effect, wouldn't people just start to report every other player that rekts them?

Well, obviously the staff would deny the reward if the report was denied. :P

V4! Do itzzzz
Take lady__mairon for example, they had tons of points from continuous kills and mvp; that would be amazing incentive.

I fear for more useless reports due to the reward, but it does also seem good to reward successful reports, which would promote the activity.

TL:DR Not completely sure.

Wouldnt it be fun to just deny reports? :D[/quote]

What a fun.

With this in effect some players could report others for a minor rule break, for example sending an all caps message once, just to get the stats or reward.

I like this idea however a too big of a reward could possibly cause many useless reports and simply be too big of a reward. I'd say give like 100 points for each accepted hacker report and 50 points for accepted chat reports or something like that.

Even viewing this idea is slowing giving me Aids. I don't believe that people should get points for reporting people like me, just because we spammed "a few times" or commented on someones physical appearance. This would just convince people to constantly report people for the smallest of stuff, bad idea.

I agree but for hackers if someone goes through the trouble of recording, getting killed by hackers to get evidence, and using up time to upload a video they should get some small reward, back when I did care about points I always raged when I kept losing a ton from hackers. It wasn't fair, so you should be able to regain what was lost and some more.

I disagree. It should be your duty on your own accord to report offenders. It makes gameplay better for everyone. So yeah, no to this.

People don't seem to get the idea. Especially Madmanrob2002. This is for hackers. Hackers. Hackers.

Usually, Hackers =/= spammers. Hackers this is for. Ok? Hackers. Good. In your head yet? Hackers.

If someone spends that much time getting proof of hacks and using their internet so they can't play other things during their free time, shouldn't they get a award for spending so much time bettering the server?.

plus if I got the person's I reported with video proofs points I would be rich, as I was the first one to report weby with video proof XD.
