((Marching order is the way Kordian the King described it, I guess.))
As you walk down the tunnel, the heat slowly rises until, rather than the chill, damp air of the Labyrinth, the air is dry and about seventy-five. You also hear clanging. As you round the bend, you find yourselves in a large cavern with a ceiling about twelve feet high. The red glow comes from a large pit in the floor, in which coals burn, with flames leaping up from time to time with a snap. Above this, hanging from a chain, is a large iron crucible, with molten metal inside it. Around this pit of coals are a bellows, some anvils of varying sizes, several large tables, stone and metal casts, some clay jugs and pots, some buckets of water, and many racks and hangers. These last two are in abundance. Many sets of armor hang on them, chain mail, scale mail. and plate, helms and helmets. On the racks are dozens of weapons: Swords, long and short, bastard swords, greatswords, daggers, rapiers. Battleaxes, great, double-bladed axes, axes for throwing, hammers and hammers for throwing, bows, long, short, and composite, crossbows, spears, pikes, glaives, javelins, maces, morningstars, flails, mauls, clubs, picks, and scythes. The benches are littered with scraps of metal, copper wiring, metal plates, nails, screws, bolts, hammers, tongs, knives, ingots, casts, chunks of ore, lenses, old rags, whetstones, flint, spearheads, goosequills, pieces of paper, a jug of some amber liquid, crusts of bread and cheese, small picks, chisels, arrows, bolts, and bits of leather. In one corner is a large stone slab with a stunningly crafted gold hammer hanging above it, inlaid with gems. Around it are carvings, and upon the slab are many fine weapons and trinkets of steel, iron, gold, and gems. The room is inhabited by three giant creatures, each about ten feet high, and each with a single eye in their forehead. They all wear leather aprons which are covered in soot, and they have large, muscled arms. One is pounding on an anvil, making the clanging noise, another is at a grindstone, sharpening an axe, and the third is polishing a helm. The pit of coals has a channel which leads to a large, rectangular space where a cast would go, for making steel, and the whole pit, channel, and slot are in the shape of a large hammer.
One of the Cyclopes looks up as you enter, and grunts something to its brethren in Elven. Then they all stand up, turn to Andrew, and say in Elvish, "Welcome to Deepforge, adventurers. I am Steropes. These are my brothers Brontes and Arges."
