((Beep, they're called At-Will powers. Light is a Wizard's power, but since you're Pelor's Cleric, I'll let you do it, but this is a prayer you've never done before, so you take a -2.))
Pelor's radiance shines in the palm of Beep's left hand, though it only illuminates up to three squares in front, as they are far underground.
You then begin down the right passage. Before long, you come to a large chamber, twenty-four by twenty-four feet, and forty feet high, with an arched ceiling. The floor is paved with sixty-four tiles of alternating black and white marble. On the wall, torches burn in brackets. On the far side, six black ebony statues sit. One a man with a crown on his head and a sword in his hands, a cloak ore his shoulders. One a knight on horseback, his battleaxe raised. One a priest of sorts, in long robes and a peaked hat. In one hand he carries a staff. The other three are footsoldiers, each with a sword, mail shirt, and helm.
On your side, there are four white ivory statues. Replicas of the black king and knight, but in white, and two replicas of the footsoldiers, also in white. Instead of a priest, however, there is an elephant with a howdah upon its back, its tusks fitted with steel, spiked ends and armor on its head and calves. Several other pieces lie in shattered piles of rubble on the edge of the floor.
((You have obviously figured out what this is. Here's the key. Figure out who's going to play. That guy get out a chessboard. Set up the pieces thus (remember, letters are on top, numbers on the sides):
B. King: C1
B, Knight: G3
B. Bishop: A2
B. Pawn 1: D4
B. Pawn 2: E2
B. Pawn 3: G2
W. King: G8

W. Castle: F6
W. Pawn 1: F7
W. Pawn 2: H7))
