Yeah, and they will most likely be able to choose race.

Look at the Atlas of Middle Earth, the author did a whole thing on geology for every mountain range, etc. from Tolkien's descriptions, and they are super accurate!

I think there should be only about 4 real player made factions the main ones: Blackfyre,reddagger,Ithilien and something else. (Pheraps Tim's dwarf ones?) and then just NPC town, with a few player towns it'll be intresting to go to war etc.
