VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Still amazed from all the tunnels and paths that are built into this gigantic mountain he walks through the armoury and stops at a mail helmet that sparkles brighter than what he had ever seen. It looked like an ordinary helmet, nothing special, but an aura filled with strengh surrounds it. "What is this helmet made of, my king?" he asks as he shows him the helmet he had found amongst all the others.

The Trickster winked at Iver, "Well, of course! I know where she lives, though, you'll have to give me something I need in return. A favor. I'll call it in, sometime down the road and you must do it. Deal?" The Trickster offered his hand, it was slimy and coated with fish grease.

"I can't remember. Thought it would be funny or something. Maybe to pass time. Head hurts so much...can't think." Eugrund groaned. An elf came over and offered a bowl of the lamb and venison stew to Daugo. It was muddy brown in colour and slightly thick, a small boney piece of meat floated in the middle of it. Others from last night had begun to settle down. Beredur and Karstir showed up seemingly untainted by the aftereffects of last night's drinking game, Harros was eating a bowl and looked paler than usual and Turmir who lasted the longest was nowhere to be seen.

"Mostly mithril, with steel alloy to reinforce it," King Thorin said, "It is the most precious of the armor here. Five were created in Moria for the Sons of Durin. Three are missing and two were recovered. One in my personal study and this one, here, in the King's Armoury," he waved at the helmet. "It is priceless and could buy Erebor over ten times in wealth. If you choose it, I must insist you keep it safe." Thorin strollled over and hefted the helmet up easily, bringing it to Thoruk and handing it to him. It felt like a pillow made of feathers in his hand.

The rabbit burned to perfection on the fire. Cardiloc realized he was still a damn dragon and he had wasted his energy in it for the past two hours. He was tired now and did not know how much longer he would last.

Dimitri woke up, saddled his horse, gathered his items and rode straight south-east for Edoras.

He only slowed his horse to a trot upon seeing the lights of the capital of Rohan, burning brightly in the distance. He kept riding until he reached the gates and saw the guards above looking down upon him.

"'Ello," The Eorling called down watching Dimitri, "Who goes there?" He called out.

Cardiloc shifted out of his dragon form, he drowsily climbed out of the nape and laid down for a nap. No worries they had the whole day ahead of them.

He later woke, rejuvenated from the short nape and ate some cold hare.

With awe Thoruk takes the helmet and glances at it before putting it on. "It fits quite well" he says before taking it off again. "It's an honor for me to take something this priceless my king, I'll bring it back to you, I promise." he says, crunching his bones while forming a fist. He then moves around further into the king's armoury. "My king, I plan to use axes that I can light up with fire or even with my lightning and throw them, crushing our enemies with the sheer look of those axes. Do you have any axes that could fit this description? Light but hard, if possible a few of them." he says to king Thorin before completing his round through the armoury and stopping infront of his father. "Father" he says "I will find you a new home inside the mountain, above the caves with their unique, shining lights coming through the dark halls, waking you up in the morning. ...And I will return to this home once I stopped our enemy." he says, squeezing his father with a hug.

It was still day and the sun was slowly falling behind the White Mountains. Thoughts of his friends, his mother, and his destiny burdened Cardiloc. The Silmaril glowed faintly in his pocket. What was it? What did it all mean? What was his purpose in life? These questions bothered him.

His little sister was rummaging about with Ha'zi, like a feral animal, having eaten hare with her bare hands. So uncivilized - Obi Wan Kenobi .

Thoruk found two throwing axes. The metallurgy and chemistry allowed for them to conduct electricity well, however, fires would not do. A fire would melt the axes.

His father embraced him, "Come home when it is over, son. You're the only one in our family that I have left." Thrak said, dejectedly, looking off into the distance, remembering an old memory of their family. Thoruk's brothers and sisters were dead, his mother dead, everyone except his father, Old Thrak Ironbeard was gone.
"You're a good dwarf, Thoruk. Remember that. Protect the weak. Defend the poor. Like I taught you, boy." Thrak let go of him and smiled. "Go on, do your duty. Save us, Thoruk. Mahal's Warrior." Thrak smiled deeply looking at his strong son, his boy, proudly.

Cardiloc wondered how 8 hours had suddenly passed, but decided against asking questions. He stood up and started walking towards the capital of Pinnath Gelin. "Let's go."

"Oh, yes sure, ill just agree to do something mysterious from a guy that calls himself the trickster, what can possibly go wrong?" He said with sarcastic voice. "I can ask any of the other merchants and for some reason i believe that their price for the information will be lower. Anyways if you are not willing to give me the information can you tell me why do you follow me?"

"I won't let you down, you can rely on me like I rely on you, defending our home land." Thoruk says to his father, smiling the first time since a few years. "My king, do you have any shields or armour-pieces, if possible something with mithril? I'd realy be grateful if you have something that wouldn't slow down my agility but still gives me some protection." he says, laying down his wooden shield and his old axe before attaching his two new axes to his back.

Ela followed after Card, "Uhh, where are we going?" Would Ha'zi follow?

"My own personal entertainment." The Trickster winked at Iver.

14628767

-----

"Unfortunately, we do not." Thorin said to Thoruk. The Dwarf had his selection of all types of shields from all types of materials.

13615485

As Thoruk looks through the shields he asks a bit questionable "What would you recommend me father? As a dwarf who has experienced many battles you should know which shields are good for fast paced fights." he says as he looks through the wide variety of shields.

"Ya, it seems like you really have a hard time entertaining yourself alone. So if you are following me like a creep how about you tell where my sister lives. Either this or ill just go to the merchant nearby who probs knows where she lives" Iver said, there are hundreds of nerves in the human body and it seems that the trickster can get on all of them.

The barbet was of great smith make and the dealer said, "From Erebor." Just to inform Sigeric. "You gonna buy anything or just stand around?" He pocketed the coins.

12519458

"This one," Thrak picked up a light brown roundshield and handed it over to his son. "It'll make for swift defense."

13615485

-------

The Trickster sighed, "You're no fun. Follow me." He led Iver to a small house in Laketown, nearby the fishmarket. "Knock, you savage."

14628767

"Maybe its because you said that im no fun but for some reason i dont believe thats my sister's house. We will need to work on the trust issues if you will continue following me around" He said before knocking.

"That will be all. Thank you." Sigeric picked up the helmet, and continued wandering the market. He wondered when he should return to the King's Hall. He had no doubt that word of his encounter with Luincrist had spread to King Bard.

The door opened and a woman was standing there. She was short and stout with a pretty face and a round belly, she was pregnant, it appeared. She was wearing kitchen clothes and had an apron on with a short twirl to her hair as a

"Hello?" She asked before seeing Iver. "Iv?" Her face lit up and she smiled, "Iver is that you?" It was Erica.

14628767

--------

Sigeric saw a couple items, some good wares and a woman walked past him, brushing into him accidentally, "Sorry Mist-" she paused to see Sigeric, "My Lord." She walked off.

12519458

"Thanks" he says closely looking at the shield, hard like steel but light and the perfect shield for swift moves. "I bet we can refine it a bit somewhere, can we?" he asks as he searches for the last thing missing, an armour that would fit him. "But before we head out to do so I'd like to find a good armour" Thoruk says, scratching his fore head as he look through the variety of armour-sets. "King Thorin, could you recommend me any of these?" he asks as he looks through the master-pieces of their kin.

"Hey Erica, long time no see" He said before hugging her. "I heard you got married so i brought you a late wedding gift" He continued before giving her the wine and necklace.

Daugo gave his bowl a grim look before setting to work. It was a difficult task, and on many instances he had to hold back a mouthful of sick, but eventually, he finished. Once he did this, he searched his clothes for any pipeweed he could find.

Fortunately Daugo found one roll. Sadly, it was empty and the weed had spilled over his pockets. He still had the shark-tooth knife, at least. The elves were finishing off breakfast.

13527980

---------

"Uhhh," she took the wine and placed it near the door, then saw the necklace and hugged him back, "Thank you." She smiled at him and led him inside. The Trickster gave him a sly wink before the door closed on him.

"Hey, Iver, so um, I don't know how to say this, but, where have you been for the last twenty years?"

14628767

------

The King pointed out a couple. Thoruk had the choice between gold plate and steel plate with a templar helm, gorget, faulds, gauntlets, poleyn and of course shoulder armor.
