VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

Iver didnt know what is going on. Is this one of the trickster's tricks?
"Well, if you wnat me to tell you about the island i first must tell you how i got there. I was on a slaver ship for 3 months with many other prisoners, there were two dwarves and a hobbit as well as a man that had iron hand and one that had metal legs. One day a storm started and we decided to use that storm to escape. The hobbit's simply pulled his hands and legs out of the man sized chains and with the help of the man with the metal leg lockpicked the locks. Then the slaves went out and tried to sneak on the boat but one fat and ugly dwarf named "Grimnir" tried to push everyone and get out first, but because he was fat he fell and alerted the slavers" Iver stopped, looking at the kids "Then a battle started between the slaves and the slavers. Grimnir needed the other dwarf, Thoruk was his name to save him because he attracted to many slavers. Meanwhile the man with the iron arm, his name was Dimitri, he got caughet by one of the slavers so i rushed there to save him. I stopped the slaver from killing Dim and he used the chance to defeat him. Then i went and found a scorpion and saw that Grimnir was one more time in trouble. A slaver stood above him and was about to kill him but with my great aim and swiftness, I shot the slaver and not Grimnir".
Iver continued the story for a while until he reached the part when they landed on the island and made a camp.

"I have been absent from the Kingdom of Dale for many years, and I confess that I would not recognize the face of King Bard. Are you His Grace? If so, I deeply apologize for the misunderstanding."

As Thoruk walks through the sheer endless hordes of dwarves he stoppes at a group of dwarvish children and picks one up and let's the kid take a seat on his shoulders. "Look around lad, everyone here is something special, at some point you could stand here, surounded by everyone, so eat your food and listen to what your mother says if you want to be a strong warrior one day" he says before letting the kid down towards the others again. "Every single one of you is unique, live your dream and never give up on it." he tells them before walking on. As he reaches the end of the hordes and infront of him the gate appears, he turns around once more and shouts "I count on every single one of you, when I come back, you better make sure this mountain is still standing." with a bit of a smile coming through. "KHAZAD" he shouts one last time before eventually walking out of his new and old home, with pride to be one of Durins folk.

"No, but I'll survive," said Daugo, getting up with some effort and gathering his things.

"What's this 'Aldburg' you mentioned before?" he cried out to Celeborn once he was all packed up.

Erica quickly covered Pillar's ears, "Iver! This is no story for children! Slavers! Gah," She quietly yelled at him and turned to her kids, "Children, go back to your room. Take Pillar with you. Big people talk is happening." Reinar nodded, though was obviously displeased. He had been entertained by Iver's action story. Eva pulled Pillar along and they left.

Erica turned on Iver, "What in Rhun, Iver!" It was a common catchphrase of their father's when he was angered. "First you invent a ludicrous story about slavers and dwarves and men with metal hands! Then you tell it to my babies?! Are you daft?!"

"Now, hold on Er, he might not be accustomed after-"

"Shut it, Vlad!" Erica cut off her husband, "Iver, tell me right now the truth. I already can picture it. You failed your trade mission in the west, took the remaining money and ran across Middle-Earth lounging in whorehouses and bars, right? That's right isn't it? While you hid like a coward, our brother stayed and fought bravely as one of the Royal Guards of King Brand and died alongside him, like a true hero. Not you. You mongrel."

Vlad had gone silent throughout Erica's rant and she was nearly fuming flames out of her nostrils.

They mounted the horses and the column began to ride away from Edoras, reaching the North-South road and following it.

"Aldburg is the second largest settlement in Rohan. It was once its capital and has some of the finest horses in Middle-Earth. Known as the Maeras, they apparently have been tamed and bred there. It would be a treat to see such beauties on our journey to Gondor." Celeborn stated, factually, to Daugo as they rode away from Edoras.

"Your message is asking whether or not I am the King?" The bald man rhetorically asked and laughed, "Well no. I am certainly not the King. I am his liege's advisor, sir." One of the guards snickered.

------

"KHAAAAAZAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!" The shout erupted from the Dwarves. Males, females, children, all dwarves screamed at the top of their lungs as Thoruk walked out of the city gates and into the light of day. The sun was high up and it was nearing noon as the dwarves cheered for him. He heard his name spoken nearly a thousand times.

"THORUK IRONBEARD!"
"THORUK THE GIANT!!"
"THORUK, WARRIOR OF MAHAL!!!"
"THORUK STONECRUSHER!!!!"
"THORUK, OUR CHOSEN WARRIOR!!!!!"

He would have to locate Iver and get to Minas Tirith. Now, to do that...

13615485

Thoruk looks around for a dwarf with a cart and ask if he could lend his mount to get to the mighty city of dale in a matter of minutes.

Iver smiled. If only it was true, if only he had gone for a raid on the women of middle earth instead of the island. But he knew, that wasnt true. He was still 20 years younger than all of them, maybe the bat was his imagination, maybe Thoruk as well. But his sister was almost twice his age and he was her bigger brother.
"Really? Look at my face Erica, did they fcking change from the last time you saw them? DOES IT LOOK LIKE I AGED 40 GOD DAMM YEARS?! No..... I was enslaved, sent to an island. I killed people Erica, I killed monsters that you didnt even know about their existance. I became a monster made by morgoth himself" He paused and then looked at Vlad. "I had someone living inside my head for days Erica, I lost my mind, my limbs and my humanity on this island Erica and if you dont believe me just watch this" He said and pulled his dagger out, and with the look of a mad man, trying to prove that his fantasy is real, chopped his wrist, waiting for it to heal.

Erica jumped back and Vlad stood up from the table.

"Iver, what are you doing!?" He shouted loudly, his voice filling the house.

Iver saw his hand twitch on the floor. He waited for the steam but it did not come. His hand was no steaming, it wasn't healing. What? He was bleeding, a pool already forming at his feet.

"Iver. I knew you were sick in the head long ago. I just-" his sister gasped, "I just didn't think it'd come to this." she turned away and held onto Vlad's hairy muscular chest.

"Iver, what your sister said to me about you was right."

"No, Vlad, let me tell him..." she said, turning to look at his crazy face.

"Iver, yo-you we-were b-b-born a bast-ard," she was choking, "A bastard...of Redhaven. Mother conceived you with L-Lord Sigmund Redhaven whilst father was away on his business errands. You were born wrong. Yo-your wrong. Get out, puh-please, just leave." She cried out, looking away from Iver.

"Ain't no mounts aroun' here, Chosen Warrior!" One of the dwarves said to him. "Just walk along to Dale, it's a dozen minutes away." Another stated in passing. He could see the road to Dale was well-traveled and many people passed between them with wagons, caravans and backpacks, carrying goods and wares.

13615485

Iver looked at his twiching stump, the hand didnt heal up and he knew what it means. It was all in his head, for 20 years he roamed the middle earth. His deeds were still unclear in hi mind but he knew that its because he is trying to forget them. It was clear, he did fcked up 20 years ago and as the coward he is he ran away. He spent his money for 20 years and when he ran out he came home, he invented the story to forget his past..... Or did he just lose his power? The gold was still on him so it means he was at his father's home, and that means.....
Marco! He could tell him if it was all true or false. He dropped his sack of coins on the floor and sprinted out of the door.
He ran toward Dale, toward his home, toward hopefully Marco. He ran slamming into people not once but he kept on running. He had to find out, is this the real life or is this just fantasy.

"Aye, thanks for the info lad" he says, a bit disapointed that there where no mounts but still, it was alright to enjoy the beautiful sight as he walked along. He hadn't seen so many people and especially dwarves for a long time. After a few minutes he sees a dwarf, carrying a cart with a variety of fruits and hears his stomach grumble "Aye, good lad, would you mind giving me an apple or two?" he says, taking of his helmet.

"I would prefer to speak with His Grace directly, as I have news of a grave threat to the Kingdom of Dale. However, it seems that I must leave the matter to your judgement. The Dark Enemy, Morgoth, has returned. I came here yesterday, and spoke with Prince Luincrist. Has he mentioned my 'prophetic doom visions'?"

"All right then..." said Daugo, retreating back into his hangover. He had no particular interest in horses, so the prospect of these Mares or Meeras or however they were called did not greatly excite him. He did, however, greatly appreciate the gorgeous sights the Riddermark had to offer, and even more so as his affliction gradually lessened over the course of the day. He would definitely live for some time in Rohan, once they were all past this.

"I remember. I remember it all, the lies and treachery all hidden by the Valar. But you, you aren't like the others. You recognized what you wanted and strode for it, the reason why Irmo does this is because they are scared. The Valar are scared because they know that if we were granted our freedom we would become like you. Free and independent to stride for what we want, not what they wanted." Pyrus would say retreading from his memories as he spoke to Morgoth and Marion. "Both of you understood that the other Valar are scared of not being under control, so you left and fought for what you believed in. I came to you because you granted me my wish for freedom, a new life. You have granted me my wish, and now I shall fight for your dream just as you granted mine."

Iver found no signs of Marco in his home. Where was the Gondorian? However, his father was there.

"Hey, we're nearly late. Where have you been?" Erland asked his son, pointing at a nearby clock on a desk.

14628767

"Of course, Ironbeard!" The dwarf tossed him two apples, "Free of charge for our chosen warrior!" Thoruk found the road to Dale pleasant. Nearly every dwarf was smiling at him as they passed and he entered the city of Dale. Now, where was Iver?

13615485

"Ah, yes," The advisor murmured, flicking through some notes, "So you're the witch." He made it clear Sigeric was unwanted here. "I suppose you should be on your way, 'Sigmund's heir'. Lest you want to be taken off to the King's dungeons." The guards took a step forwards, yet their weapons had yet to drop. Sigeric saw that the man he had spoken with yesterday was unaccounted for. This had to be Luincrist's doing.

12519458

------------

They made it to Aldburg and saw the Meeras. Surprisingly, they didn't look any different from other horses or so Daugo thought. The rest of the journey was a blur. First through some forests, over streams, past a few mountain villages and they were well on their way south. Gone were the lands of the Mark and now forest converged on the columns sides, rising high up to block the son. Daugo rode with the stoic Celeborn, the talkative Turmir, who was a few paces back in the column, and a few of the others like Harros and Eurgund who now and then greeted him and ate with him on their journey. Eventually, the forest disappeared and they emerged into a vast grassy plain. Here the ground was much moister and recent rains had created pools and little lakes.

"Brace yourself, Master Burgins," Celeborn noted, "For we are entering the lands of stone." Daugo saw a hill ahead. The column rode up along the road and finally over it and Daugo's heart paused for the briefest of moments to take in the epic scenery. "Gondor."

In the distance to the south were the white mountains, the Ered Nimrais, shining brightly. To the east were the mountains of ash, the Ephel Duath, a great river split the lands and hundreds of settlements crowded the region. A great city, white like the pearly mountain snow and taller than any Daugo had ever seen in his life sat against the Ered Nimrais, carven into the mountain. Its high walls were daunting and its gate shimmered in the sun. It had hundreds of towers, no, hundreds of thousands of towers within the city itself. It was layered from top to bottom by rows of buildings. "The capital of Gondor, Minas Tirith," Celeborn said, almost proudly.

Around its outermost walls was a golden plain which was surrounded by another grand wall which spread for miles in each direction. Inside it were dozens of little villages and outside it were many townships. Towards the east, near the river a great ruinous city lay. Yet, no longer was it a ruin. Some areas were clearly run down but many parts of the city of Osgiliath, such as the Dome of Stars and Great Bridge had been repaired. It was harrowingly spectacular. The architecture. The white stone. The way the city sat on the giant river. Everything about it seemed a huge feat of engineering.

Before Daugo could see what was on the eastern side of the river, the column started down the hill. "To the Rammas Echor." Celeborn said as they rode for the great wall that surrounded the Pellenor fields.

"O, yea, them weird-eared folk. They passed through a couple days ago." The guard said, "Meeting with da king?" He began to open the gates of Edoras for Dimitri.

"I'm glad you understand now, Pyrus," Mairon said, smiling, "The Valar don't care about us. They want to use us for their stories and manipulative games. Eru doesn't care. Morgoth was the only one who ever did. That's why so many of us joined him. That's why you are. And soon, our brothers and sisters that have been lied to, corrupted and manipulated by the Valar will have the choice. Freedom or a life of slavery at Manwe's feet."

Morgoth spoke next, "The War is coming Pyrus. One in which we will slay many of your brothers and sisters. It has already begun and it will soon reach us. To prepare you and," Morgoth looked at the other Maia who had gathered inside the keep, "Our brothers and sisters. We must unlock your true power. Come, follow me, all of you, outside." Morgoth strode towards the doorway, huge and mighty, the doors opened themselves as he reached them and he led them out of the castle and into the hazy morning. The plateau of Gorgoroth was bright and sunny, unlike how Mordor used to be under Sauron. Yet the land was desolate and dry, cracked and parched.

"Come, Pyrus, come, Azura, come, Maris, come, fellow Ainur." He stood out on the plains, his tall form buffeted by the winds and the dark Ephel Duath in the far distance. He beckoned Pyrus forward, crouching to the Earth and looking upon the cracked dirt.
"Place your hand against it."

"Aye, quite beautiful, more than I expected after the last time I saw it." he says as he walks along the street, witnessing children running through the streets, catching each other. He throws his apple towards a lonely child, not participating in the games the others were playing. "Aye, head up lad." he says walking on through the streets, searching for the market place. "I bet I can ask some people at the market place about Iver, wonder where that bugger went."

Iver was in his room when his father arrived. At least he wanted him to stay, so that wasnt that bad. But then he realized that he is handless, the bleeding wont stop and that he had to meet the king. "Fck, fck, fck" He whisper to himself, how will he get out of the hole he dug for himself. "Iver you are the smartest idiot in Dale" He said to himself as an idea came to his mind. "One second, i got my clothes dirty and i need to change them" He said to his father as he opened his closet and took out a pair of pants, leather belt, leather pouch and a pair of leather gloves.
He cut few pieces of cloth from the pants, put them in the pouch, placed the pouch on his stump and tied a leather string he cut from the belt around his hand. This stopped the bleeding. He then changed his dirty clothes and cover his stump.
He washed the blood from himself and walked down the stairs.
"Im ready, lets go" he said to his father. He will return to his sister and apologise later, but for now he got a meeting to make. But is the threat real? Is morgoth really a thing or it is all part of his wild imagination, he still didnt know.

"Let's hurry, then," Erland said giving Iver a look, "You okay?"

14628767

The little boy caught the apple and looked up at Thoruk, "Thanks, Mister!" The market was crowded and busy.

13615485

"Alright, let's leave then." Erland said, opening the door for Iver and them exiting the house and walking towards the market.
