VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

“Well, it’s a long story, but essentially Ha’zi and I trained for the past year, anything interesting happens while were, gone?” Cardiloc explained to Aranel, raising a brow at the ship. “I uh, didn’t know you guys had a ship.”

Hering would stop dead in his tracks as a strange and overwhelming power came over him. His eyes closed shut and his hand clenched into a fist, the knuckles turning fight as he dug his nails deeper and deeper into his palm. His legs shook and a nauseating sense started to also come over him. What was this madness? This unholy feeling of pure fear and dread? His jaw clenched and he felt a warm liquid crawl down his leg. He opened his eyes once more and saw his worst fears played out before him. The deaths of friends, the war, his hidden desires played out before him. What was this?

Mirecyla unleashed her power and smirked triumphly from under the rope as she saw the cloaked men stop in their tracks. A release from beside her and a yelp of surprise made her realize Endo had escaped. Seeing her chance she would roll that way also. Going to lift the hopefully slacker rope a little to help her escape, dragging the spear with her. "Fucking bastards with your black cloaks and fancy bows. Wait till I sick the hounds on you!" She'd mutter

"A sword in the back of the traitor.
A hammer in the head of the arch-enemy.
A spear in the head of the lapdog." Dimitri recited. The List of Hated Foes was long indeed, composed by Dimitri in his first days in the gardens of Este. It was made to help Dimitri cope with death of Tulkas, but as Dimitri healed, in the flesh, the soul, and the mind, it evolved into something else. It became the history of Dimitri's adventure, from the tavern of Bree to the fight with his foe, Mineltar. But while he may have accepted that his lord was dead, and while his flesh was healed, there was still something in him that burned fiercer than the fires of Mount Doom. Vengeance was his sole goal in life now, and he would stop at nothing to achieve it.

But he needed weapons, armor, supplies. He needed to escape Valianor. And the Son of Tulkas provided the best way to do that. Through him, he became a stronger warrior and giant, and stronger in faith. Though the flesh of his lord was gone, his spirit still existed, guarding the gates of the Afterworld. He still watched over his sons and daughters, granting them his divine strength and unbreakable will. Yet every day that passed, the arch-enemy grew stronger. Haste was of the essence.

"You should always follow your guts, especially if they lead you to the toilets" Iver's father used to say, so he used his echo to check on that random guy, whats the worse that can happen?

"This ain't just a ship," An old voice spoke to Cardiloc and he noticed the girl from before. Laurel stood next to Aranel with her arms folded. "It's a sky vessel. It was called Vingilote or something."

"A year?" Aranel raised her eyebrow. "It's been two days." She sighed, "Why do you always do this, Ha'zi?"

"The kid needed training. Now he's ready. Or as ready as he'll ever be. He still needs some time to put it to use in battle but I trust him. If both of us utilize our powers, and that's a major if on my part since, you know, my condition-" he paused himself, "Then we could transport everyone who survived from this time back to theirs. I know it's not a good idea but if anyone wants a second chance at life..."

Mirecyla managed to crawl out of the net and saw them all frozen in fear or crying on the earth. What a bunch of pussies.

CRACK.

In less than a second, she was smacked down onto the ground, her back crashing into the net as something heavy and huge pinned her down.

"Do not move or I shall not hesitate to kill you now, servant of the Enemy." She did not recognize the voice but she remembered the hair and face. It was that thing, that elf from Mordor. The one who cut through the Savage and Destroyer Giants like they were cake. "Unhook your hand from the spear, surrender your arms and I will allow you to live." One of his arms pressed her back down whilst the other kept her spearhand in place. His feet pinned her legs down and she couldn't move. How was he unfazed by her power?

Hering felt a temporary waning in his nightmare and could see clearly for a moment.

"Thyself is filled with passion and woe," A voice interrupted Dimitri's thoughts. From the doorway to his petite dwelling a maiden dressed in grey entered. "Yet, thy path is clear." Este intoned standing before Dimitri. She was quite short for a Valie and her beautiful features would have been distracting to Dimitri should he not have been so driven. "Tell me, Dimitrius of the Adorn. Where doth thy journey conclude?"

-------------------

The shriek revealed to Iver a shifter. Whoever that man was had Giant powers. Their first clue in the long hunt. Finally.

The plains afforded enough territory for the man to see them. He stopped dead in his tracks yet did not flee.

Iver had quite a lot of distance between them to maneuver. If the man had a weapon he did not see it. It appeared they were unarmed. Who was this Giant? Tytus? A bit shorter. Equas? No, too tall. Was it the Armoured or the Snake?

Cards eyes went wide at the mention that it was a flying ship, sure he had seen some interesting shit in the past year but never a flying ship, that was new to him. “Only two days, for you...? Time is weird.” Cardiloc seemed awestruck by how much time each of them had really experienced. “We heading back to my time soon then... wait, your condition? Don’t you mean, everyone’s condition, since you can’t shift?” The dunlending looked confused.

Whoever it was, he could just ask em when he get closer, Iver thought to himself as he landed slightly closer to the figure than he intended

The Behemoth chuckled grandly. As he gave his first humongous step, he began to call up some jets of steam to swirl and howl before him. His knuckles whitened, and he took a second step that made the very foundations of the earth quiver.
"All right, who shall be going first?" he boomed, taking a third step that got him to the others.

"Yes. We lost our ability to transform." It was Berethor who spoke, coming out of a hatch beneath the deck.

"Let's return inside. It isn't good for all of us to be up here." Laurel reminded them.

No one wanted to address the issue but Aranel poked Card and spoke, "C'mon. Let's eat then we can talk about it."

Ha'zi merely glanced at Cardiloc before following the others down the hatch. Aranel waited for the Dunlending.

---------

The man had stopped dead in his tracks. Across his face a brown woolen scarf obscured his features and camoflagued him well with his baggy overalls. He said nothing but remained still, eyes watching the giant bat.

Iver, Thoruk and Arandil saw the figure opposite them. Was this a standoff? What would happen?

It was clear to Iver that they would be making the first move.

14628767 13615485 18199471

Cardiloc could tell he had pressed on an awkward issue, but what was so special about Ha’zis problem that made it more important than the others, he sighed and joined them inside.

Well, it was up to them to do the first move, and since Thoruk would probably piss the guy off and Arandil wasn't the sharpest egg in the attic, it was up to him.
Iver got out of the bat's nape. "Hello there comrade" He shouted and waved his hand in the air as he started walking toward the figure. "You two stay here and come when ill mark you" He told his two companions as he walked away.

They led Cardiloc down into a hold where he saw many other rooms and halls that led off. Down one of them he found himself brought back to that familiar dining room and saw others, Daugo's son, Endo and the old man amongst the rest. They served him food and he found himself eating more stew, a potato poked its face up at him. It was actually a meal he missed considering that he ate badly with Ha'zi.

Aranel sat next to him whilst Berethor took the other seat. Ha'zi and Laurel had both disappeared.

"So..." Aranel began rather awkwardly, "What happened?"

12700073

---------------

The figure did nothing as Iver walked towards him. Was he dead or just frozen in terror at the sight of Iver?

14628767

Probably frozen by his overwhelming beauty, Iver thought to himself as he walked closer and closer until he would reach normal talking range of 5-3 meters. "Hello there" He said again.

Hering was sobbing, large ragged gasps of air shook hin to the core as streams tears painted his cheek. The unholy act fully having its claws in him, and yet for a moment he felt a relief. Opening his eyes he would see what could only be Glorfindel pinning the girl down. How was it that he was not affected? Was he truly that broken?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What the fuck?! What the actual he'll you lazy cunt! Get your bitch as hands off me dumbass!" She'd shout at him, the slayer she called him when telling the others about the Mordor battle. Shed struggle some more but seeing how he was unaffected by the power and the others would need a moment to gain their breath she'd say "How the fuck am I supposed to do that cunt? Your pinning my hand down dumbshit, you never done this type of arresting before?" Fucking bitch, how dare he!

The dunlending began eating his meal hungrily then, he looked up at Aranel and sighed. “As I said, it’s a long story.” He glanced over at Berethor, waiting for the Gondorians take on it

"I will," Ha'zi declared within his Warrior form, raising his giant arm up in the air to signal to Daugo. He motions to Sigeric to spawn a weapon for him as large swathes of the Warrior's chest start to go up in flames, producing heavy mist which starts to coat the battlefield. Ha'zi starts to move around in the fog as he attempts to connect to Sigeric's thoughts, thinking, “Wouldn't mind a spear, or a sling; maybe even give me a surprise for once, eh?”

"What?" Berethor shrugged confusedly as he stuffed his face with the ivy green murky soup.

12700073

-----------------

"G E N E R A L K E N O B I!" A muffled, "Hello," Came back to him. The plains spread around them from west to east with the river Anduin a mere thirty meters to Iver's right.

14628767

-------------

"Colourful terms," Glorfindel murmured as he guided his hand over her arm and squeezed her wrist so tightly that she dropped the spear out of shock. "There," He said, "Now hush and it shall be over quickly." She felt his hand raise to his side. Was this it? Was this the end?

Hering saw the others coming out of that trance. What the hell had happened to them?
