VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

well, maybe you should learn from the last time someone asked who are you and you answered with your name only. Just face it, some people are idiots. His inner voice told him.
"My name is Iver, I am what you may call the flying giant shifter" Iver said before asking "and you?"

"You seem to have bad ears..." Thoruk would not show any interest and lets out a yawn. "I came down so I can talk normal, what you lad seem to not understand that it's not that easy with lots of blood in your head." Thoruk says, thinking about storing up some flames and letting lose of them, but then not deciding to. "Seems like you won't help us if that's your final answer, guess you lots will never get revenge on Morgoth then for imprisoning all of ya friends, even your dear close friend I suppose, aye?" Thoruk would exclame, not realy knowing what to do in this position. "As of my powers? I have something far greater than resistance, trust me, but I'm not in the mood to show you anything of it, you're not worth it. Besides, if you kill me, you have one less of your kind, helping you to save what you hold dear. You think Morgoth will stop before you and ya friends lad? Hah, if he's finished with us, you're not needed anymore and he will get rid of ya aswell. But I don't feel any pity for you and your friends. Not at all." Thoruk would exclame, storing energy, lots of energy... and heat. "Let's see if that'll buy me some time." Thoruk would think, storing up more energy than he'd ever done before, yet still staring down at Aranel.

BOOOOM.

Someone went flying out of Ha'zi's room and skidded to a stop before Cardiloc. It was Aranel, her red hair whisked about, a shard of Giant crystal in her leg. She looked up at Cardiloc with faint eyes. The meaning in them was quite clear. "I just wanted to save Miriel." She cried.

From inside the room, Ha'zi backed out into the corridor, his hands aflame with balls of fire as he threw them at the approaching figure. It was a man, Cardiloc saw, his eyes tinged darker than coal and filled with pure hatred. He was nearly as muscular as Tulkas, Eru forbid, and had a body of shadows moving over him. Tattoos covered his chest and back and his hair was a dark red like blood. Crimson flecked his body and his eyes bore deeply into Ha'zi's whilst his skin tone swapped, going grey like steel as the Haradrim threw a fireball at him. He somehow passed through it and continued to march forward. In his hands two icy crystals formed and he threw them.

Ha'zi dodged the first one, which went flying towards Cardiloc, but the second clipped his stomach and the man gasped out in pain. Before the shard of ice could hit Cardiloc, it stopped midair and traveled back, going for the figure who's body became like silver and the icicle shattered against it. Aranel slowly stood up and glanced at Cardiloc. She had saved him, though, how much that mattered to the Dunlending was disputable.

"Penduilas," The woman told him. "Flying Giant? Oh, that idiot." She muttered, "You were the naked one, right? I remember you."

Aranel sighed. "You have no idea who or what we are. But especially what I am. And Morgoth?" She laughed, "Morgoth has no need for my family when he has me. I'm protecting them. You're not going to take them and use them for your wars. A world with Morgoth in charge is one where we're safe. Where I'm safe. All I need to do is to finish you and your friends off. Then it'll be done and I will have saved them. I thank you for allowing me an easy kill, dwarf." She then proceeded to raise her hand to Thoruk's forehead and the dwarf felt a hot liquid spill from his temples as agony pierced his skull. In his hands, he had stored a blast of energy more powerful than anything he had used before.

The Behemoth smiled with satisfaction when he saw the Warrior disappear into the void, and turned his attention to the Guardian. Bastard could prove tricky if he wanted to. He was confident that he could easily overpower him, though, so he pushed down with all his might, trying to squash him as one does a cockroach. Aiding him in this endeavor would be the insane heat that still oozed from his skin.

Card nodded to Aranel, grimly, "I get it." He offered her his hand, lifting her up if she accepted it. He cried out in terror as Ha'zi got struck. "We need Ha'zi to get out of here." He told her, the meaning in his words were clear, he needed her to create a distraction. The Dunlending looked over at Berethor. "Move out of the way, so Ha'zi can grab my hand! Once he does, grab his!" He was going to need a lot of strength

"well, it is hard to keep your clothes when a drake decide to cook you well done" Iver said before adding "say, you remember the other shifters better than i do. Do you know anyone named Arathor?" Iver asked

Ha'zi glimpsed back at the call of his name. He saw what they were doing and shook his head. "GO!" He yelled at Cardiloc. "I can't leave him!" He turned back to the figure who was turning into a golden plaque, his palms firing off multiple shards of crystal and ice.

Ha'zi raised his hands in a fan-like motion creating a sonic blast of wind that knocked all projectiles backward. The black figure coated itself in the shadows as Ha'zi kept bombarding him with blasts of flame, ice, metal and all manner of other things. The literal room around them was clamping down and the corridor around the figure squashed, crushing around him into a ball of wood and metal, further tightening around the mass of darkness which disappeared.

"Aranel. I need you to take care of Laurel for me." He called back to her as he continued to compress the person that could only be known as Beren.

--------------

The Guardian's shield cracked and began to melt away. Sigeric could feel the heat bearing down on him, literally and figuratively. Daugo saw him winning before something sliced into his foot and cut through the tendons. His feet snapped and he tripped suddenly, falling as his foot broke from the ankle down.

The Behemoth came crashing down upon the Guardian in one of the most epic miscalculations in history.

"Um, no. I don't recall the name. Why? And what do you want, uh, Iver?" Penduilas asked him.

14628767

"Oh no" Iver thought to himself as he asked a second question ignoring her question "Who from your group has a family member with blood connection?" He asked her with a terrified look in his eyes.

"Uh, blood connection? What do you mean?" She asked. Too many questions. Who was this person? Why was he asking? "Hold on, who the fuck are you? Really? What are you doing here? Are you looking for us?"

14628767

"Ha'zi you can't!!! We need you! What are you doing!?" Cardiloc cried out to the man he had known for the past year, what was he doing...?

Realizing that Ha'zi needed to stop Beren, and that Beren would risk the lives of everyone else if Ha'zi came with them, Card nodded to his best friend, no... he was more like a brother. He turned to the others, a resolute expression on his face. "Aranel, grab Laurel's arm. Everyone, hold on tight." He instructed the others, his voice full of pain, once Aranel had taken ahold of Laurel, he searched out for his own time; his thoughts drifted to his home...

The Dunlending reached out for his home, and felt himself move across there, the others with him...

Finally. Ha'zi was free of his Giant, and at the perfect time, too. For at that moment, the Haradrim got to bask in the immensely joyful sight of the Behemoth come crashing down to the earth. The Haradrim started to grin and chuckle, until the resulting rumbling brought himself stumbling forward towards the ground.

Grumbling about the ironies of this, Ha'zi stands and starts to distance himself from his large corpse. Once he's far enough, tongue biting ensues.
---------------
"Take that Dau- oh, shit." The Guardian raised its shield uselessly as some last stand of protection, but, quite obviously alas, this would be futile. CRASH

Ha'zi glimpsed Cardiloc, Aranel, Berethor, Endo and finally stopped on Laurel. It appeared that she was crying and trying to say something, she screamed perhaps, but he could not hear it. His ears were bleeding and he was shell-shocked. Maybe he was deaf in one ear. He witnessed Cardiloc yell something at him but focused on his daughter.

"I can't leave your brother. I-I was scared before, but not now. Now it ends. Goodbye, Laurel. ." He said, "I'll see your mother soon enough." A sad smile crossed his face and he watched as they vanished into thin air. WHOOSH.

The ball of compressed materials exploded outwards.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM.

---

Cardiloc felt his feet touch the ground and heard a collective groan go off. Someone was sobbing and wailing and another person vomitted. His head ached and his eyes slowly opened to see the burnt shack that was his house.

12700073

-----------

WHOOSH.

The Warrior Giant appeared just as the Behemoth crashed into the Earth sending up a mountain's load of dirt and gravel as it collapsed. Somewhere beneath it was Sigeric. But the damn thing was still alive. Or at least it's upperbody was...

Daugo retained some control over the arms and head of the beast as he heard another giant transformation off to his left. Was that Ha'zi?

Iver grabbed her by her shirt "this about life and death, who from the shifters was left behind when you escaped Mordor?!" He asked her.

Card got up, his face etched with grief, he looked over at the others. “We... made it?” He gasped out, home sweet home, the dunlending thought at the sight of his burnt home. He slowly got up, wiping away tears that had formed upon his eyes, he gazed out over the distance; thinking about what Ha’zi had said. Beren, that monster... was Ha’zis son; the one he had failed to face...

Hering would nod, how he had become the little rents jailer he was unsure of, and yet here he was keys in hand and leading the group through hallway after hallway and down stair after stair. He'd keeping walking down paths he had memorized by heart, he could walk through them blindfolded and not hit a thing. He'd continue to lead them down lower and lower, opening doors with the keychain when needed until they found the cell that inhabited a screaming twelve year old and quiet man.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mirecyla would look at Endo, being across the room from him and said "I swear to fucking god if I don't eat something soon your going to be my next meal. Lazy bastard." She'd mumble. The cell was bad, the company was worse. But it didn't compare to what Morgoth and Sauron had done to them.

"This won't be it" Thoruk slowly grunts with pain filling his body. "Not without a downgoing, worth a son of Durin" Thoruk would exclame, unleashing the power he had stored in what he prepared. A gigantic fireball she hopefully couldn't dodge. "My ancestors gave this power to me with a purpose, I didn't get it by an accident but by the will of Durin." Thoruk would exclaim as he unleashes his full power, as the picture of his beloved family flys through his mind in a split second. With pain running through his head down his arms the dwarf let's lose of the power.

Laurel stood up and screamed and fought out, punching Cardiloc. "TAKE ME BACK! TAKE ME BACK TO HIM!"

Endo sat on the floor vomiting whilst Berethor pat his back. Both men seemed shaken. Aranel was the most well put together of them as she stared at the earth silently, her expression ashen.

12700073

------------------

Nearly two dozen men, mostly officials, and their retinues followed Hering down into the dungeons. Upon entering the dungeons, they saw the horrid sight of Mirecyla and Endo. The place stunk of shit and piss and other foul aromas one had difficulty identifying.

"Is that her?" General Belzagar asked staring at Mirecyla with curiosity. The girl's legs had healed back and so had her tongue. They'd given her fresh clothing but it was nothing above a peasants attire. She still hadn't bathed and her hair was filthy as she was sweaty in the damp depths of wherever the hell she was.

Glorfindel nodded. The King approached the jail cell window and peered in, "Hello," He said waving to Mirecyla.

"I wouldn't suggest getting close, sire. She, uh, she bites."

--------------

"Uhh, I don't remember, a couple, five or six with Aranel, we couldn't save them in the time since she had broken free so we had to run! Why?" Penduilas asked confused.

BLAST.

An explosion somewhere in the distance cut their conversation short.

Thoruk fell from the air and hit his head on the ground. All around him the forest was on fire. What happened? The tree he was held up against started to lean off to one side and creak. Where was that bitch? Did he incinerate her? Smoke filled his lungs and Thoruk realized he would need to get out of here before he burned to death.

14628767 13615485

Cardiloc seemed stunned for a moment, then rage built up. “I CAN’T!!!” He roared back to her. “Even if I had enough energy to do so.” He controlled his voice. “We’d still have your deluded psychopathic brother to deal with. I’m sorry Laurel but your father...” Cardiloc’s voice strained, “He’s... He’s dead, nobody could stop... that, not even him. If we go back, both of us would die, is that what he would have wanted?” He questioned her, “I’d like to go back, alright, Laurel; he was a like, like a brother to me. But we can’t, we just can’t. We just have to move on...” He explained to her, then turning to the others.

“We’re at my old home, near the Adorn river. The gap of Rohan isn’t that far, but I doubt we’ll be travelling on foot, I’ll get us to Minas Tirith; it’s where the others were headed before Ha’zi took me to your time. We head there, explain what’s going to happen in your time, then see what’s what. I need my strength first before we move on tomorrow, we should set up camp here.” He informed the others. “I’m going out hunting, see if I can get some food for us tonight.” With that, the Dunlending walked off; heading for the burnt old shack to look for his fathers hunting gear.

"In Durins name..." Thoruk would shout, slowly getting up, holding his forehead with one hand. "Why always my head." he would grunt as he let's out a big cough, mostly.. smoke? He takes a look around. The trees burning, some blasted away, smoke and ash everywhere. "Guess it worked cough that fool's atleast not round anymore." Thoruk would think before picking up his helmet, full of ash and more likely black and grey now, not looking like mithril anymore. "Aye, I need to get outa here before I burn to a crisp." Thoruk would grunt. "Maybe..." he thinks as he tries to build up some wind and clear the smoke in his way. "No.." he than thinks, realising he had realy used most of his power and needed the power that was left to run as he started to run in a direction, hopeing it would be the one he came from, yet blinded by all the smoke.

They barely registered what Cardiloc had said.

Laurel did not calm down. She instead continued to weep and bawl her eyes out.

12700073

--------------

Thoruk found himself running out of the forest and then fell as he rolled down the valley sides and towards the bottom of the river. Behind him the forest lay ablaze. The fire was spreading and it might grow large enough to burn down the whole of Mirkwood!
