VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

”Interesting story, however it appears as if I must travel on my own now. Have a nice life.” She grinned, seemingly ready to say goodbye. However after a moment her face grew grim and she thrust the shard of glass for his stomach, going to slide it across and gut him while also absorbing as much of his fear as possible

Apahtul stared at her, mouth agape, for a moment, hardly believing what had happened. He looked down at the pool of blood accumulating in his gut, and only then unleashed a terrible scream that bounced off the tunnel walls and echoed all around the dungeon. The man was loud and hysterical as he died, which was good for her fear sapping, but made it unlikely that she would remain undiscovered for long.

As he died she crouched done next to him, ignoring the horrific cries as she said “I want to thank you. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be able to get out of here, you’ve done me a good service today Apahtul.” She said as she grabbed the blunt knife, examining it before going to slam it down through his eye, hopefully dealing the killing blow

"Lets keep going. We will head to the woods and then head south to meet up with Marco and the rest. Tytus will buy us enough time." He said as he was running towards a sort of similar direction that Marco was going.

Could the Balrogs be related to the sun? Iver thought as he ran towards them in full speed before getting leashed by one of them. "ARRRGH" he shouted as he realized he did not feel the pain, "I AM FIRE PROOF" he added and watched as the Balrogs fled from him with the realization that- VROOOOOOOOMMMMM, a light beam almost vaporized him and he understood that maybe they were more afraid of the guy who just took a shot from their master.
"Oh fuck the sun" he said as he saw the ball of imprisoned fire (maybe Balrogs?) was about to fall through a hole in the sky. "Yup, that made a fuck ton of sense" he thought to himself as he transformed and sprinted to block the sun from falling through the hole, he didn't know if the glass could break but he wasn't about to test it.

WHABOOOM.

Dimitri managed to pull together the Ainu and watched as Iver transform but the beast that emerged from the blast was not the bat-like Flying Giant. Its wings were much more pronounced, even longer and wider than before and were not light and soft but rather appeared solid and dense. Its body took on the same thick material and had become bulkier instead of slimmer. Its claws were much more bird-like and sharpened comparatively to the flying giant. It had two horn-like appendages protruding from its skull which was reptilian shaped like that of a salamander. A line of spiky spinal vertebra lined its ridged back which had become thicker like that of a shield. Yet the largest difference was the size. The puny flying giant, once the smallest of them, had more than quadrupled in size. What the fuck had happened to Iver?

The Dalishman felt as if he were floating on air. Which he was in a literal sense but also on a metaphorical and metaphysical level. The sun was like a grape to him and he easily caught it in one talon before it rolled off the edge. Above Iver heard the roars of the vessel as it charged up another ray.

The Balrogs had fled towards on edge of the field where Morgoth and the Trickster had been obliterated by a single shot. Through the smoke from a crater in the stratosphere, Iver saw the Dark Lord emerge unscathed. One look at him and Iver already knew that his time on Arda was limited.

--------------------------------------------------

"Sure thing," Equas said but that statement was negated as a roar erupted behind them. Something was chasing them and it was coming quick.

In the distance, Tytus screamed as Raimen flew overhead, knocking him out of the sky before proceeding to run further and draw their attention. The Armoured Giant was catching up and nearby he saw many others. This was bad. He hadn't the energy for a prolonged battle and could not fight them all. Especially not on his own. But he had to do his best if he was to prevent the losses of life that came with Miriel's need for revenge.

"BACK OFF!!" He yelled and Berethor halted for a mere moment. In that time, Tytus turned and fled rushing towards the southern fringes of the forest.

Meanwhile to the south-east, six of Equas' clones carried Marco through the long-grass. One kept a hand over the Leviathan Shifter's mouth and another whispered encouraging things to the man in order to keep him placated.

"We're nearly there, Marco. You won't have to go back anymore. Raddis won't-"

PHEWWW.

A rainbow toned flame hit one of the clones, causing him to fall and topple the others. Marco was dropped onto the soil just as a big black figure emerged from the grass.

"Where be the Guuundoooryaan?!" Raddis asked as he grabbed a clone and dangled him above the rest. "Where are de odders?"

"I can't understand you!" Equas struggled in his grasp whilst the rest watched in fear. He bit his tongue and tried to transform but failed.

"Betrayal is quite disappointing," Lasser stepped out of the long grass alongside Penduilas. "Raddis use force." He ordered the man.

"Oonderstaand dis!" Raddis twisted the boy over, brought him down and raised his kneecap in one motion.

CRAAAACK.

The black man threw the broken boy's corpse into the long grass. "Anyone else? Where is da original?"

The clones looked at one another then back at Raddis without response.

"A'right den. Guess dat means I can hav sum fooon!! HAHAHA!!!"

Arandil heard a multitude of shrieks erupt from the southeast. It came from the direction Marco's group was.

-------------------------------------------

ZAAAAP.

The figure was hit by two arcs of lightning that erupted from Thoruk's hand, taking it by surprise. The body fell in an instant, spasming and twitching on the floor. The smell of roasted flesh rose to meet Thoruk's nostrils.

He saw its body. Some sort of humanoid figure, with a mouth that appeared to elongate and sharpened teeth. It had obviously killed and eaten Grimsbold and Grimbsy. What on Arda was this? Some beast of Morgoth? A witch's bindings? Something else?

Suddenly, the body began to move. The skin peeled away and started to regenerate before his eyes. The facial features adjusted and its eyes, which had rolled back into its skull, flittered towards Thoruk. They were bloodshot red. A strangled whine escaped its mouth and it flew upward in an attempt to assault the Dwarf.

---------------------------------------

"Yes." Arcturus laughed and they made their way back up the levels.

--------------------------------------

"Hmm," Belzagar mumbled.

'If I send the Haradrim, I don't have to be responsible for him here. And I'll be able to control the other one more easily. However, Gondor does need as many giants as possible and if we lose both the Behemoth and Warrior then we'll be easily open to defeat. There's too much risk involved. I'll deny the notion but give him enough hope to continue.' Belzagar's thoughts funneled into Ha'zi's mind. 'And if things go well, we'll regain the Leviathan and keep the Serpent girl. She can be useful. The Leviathan will be transferred to one of our men. Likely from my squad or Ostopher's in order to assure allegiance. We'll need as many of them for this war against Morgoth. Who knows what the Dark Lord has been doing in the past year.'

"I will sleep on the thought. You shall be informed in the morning. This is not a confirmation nor is it a denial, Ha'zi. You understand the importance of defending Gondor in this crucial time and that single responsibility cannot be given up to the Guardian. On the other hand, the loss of the Behemoth on top of the Leviathan is not something we can afford. As such I shall decide by tomorrow. The mission departs after dawn. If you are awoken before then you shall travel with them. If not, you will remain here with Mister Redhaven and await the arrival of the King."

"Understand?" Belzagar asked him.

"For my kin" Thoruk would mumble to himself, biting onto his tongue, sending the axe he had in hand at the beasts head before trying to transform and stomp this maggot.

The cart was flattened as the Elemental Giant stood upon the rubbles of it. A small crater lay beneath Thoruk and he saw no sight of the beast around. His axe had been knocked into a nearby bush.

Where in Angband was it...

"Eru damn them! There is no time to spare. I suspect who might be causing the rest of us this trouble. You four go and get Marco and any other clones you can with you out of here. As far away as you can go. Ill distract whoever is up against us. Now go, GO! Tytus wont distract the rest forever."/i]

Thoruk would slowly shift his head, then letting out a roar that would shatter even his bones inside his giant form. His brothers were dead, this thing was not allowed to get away with it's life, a grudge that even Durin would not forget was put upon this beast by Thoruk. He would've loved to burn down every last bit of this forest, yet he controlled himself atleast this bit and tried to slowly sense any movement through the ground. He had the weird feeling as if it was still close by and if so, he would stomp it till there was nothing more left than a handfull of dust of it's bones.

"No! You have to keep running." The closest Equas said.
"You're weak. You have no powers!"
"We'll take care of it!"
"Yeah, leave it us!"

Each of them cried in retort. The three farthest broke off and Arandil heard the sound of transformations behind him. Three smaller sized giants ran off in the direction of Marco.

"C'mon, move! You're our priority. If they have Marco they can't do anything with him unless they have you. So you can't fall into their hands, got it, idiot!" Equas yelled. Arandil could see tears in the boy's eyes as he continued to motivate him.

Behind them, a roar erupted and Equas slowed down, turned around and bit his tongue.

-----------------------------

Thoruk heard a branch break to his left. In his peripheral vision he could see its shape. It was perched there staring at him as if in wonder or amusement.

Thoruk would not move a bit, besides his head as a distraction while slowly using his power to grab the earth and rocks under the beast in a wider area. He would wait till the he had stored enaugh power to shoot the earth underneath the beast up like a fountain of water, catapulting it into the air, then trying to catch it in a 'wind-cage' due to pressing air slowly together on every end around it.

The knife was very blunt, and did not manage to penetrate the escapee's skull, only destroying his eye. His screams intensified, and Mirecyla heard distant shouts echo through the tunnel, though it was hard to tell from which direction they came, or whether they were even more than a distortion of Apahtul's agonized screeches. Confirmation of their existence came when she heard the sound of heavy boots approaching from the shaft to her right.

What unholy beast was that? Dimitri stared in horror and disgust at this new thing. The Flying Giant was already disgusting, as were most of the giants, but this was like something from one of Morgoth's long lost cages. Dimitri continued to make sure Mahal and Teli were safe, but also wanted to see if he could see Earendil himself in his boat.

Ha'zi's eyebrows raised in surprise, in equal part due to actually hearing the thoughts for once, and for being granted permission to attend with Daugo- if he got on time, that is. Which he would definitely do. He had to.

It seemed his manipulative ability had succeeded, which he would've gladly fist pumped to if it were not for the current situation. "I understand, General! Thank you for your consideration!" Smiling, Ha'zi went to depart, already setting a mental alarm to force himself awake for the right time in the morning- something he had become naturally accustomed to as part of his training in the ranger squadrons, but something he nevertheless wanted to have extra preparation.

Now gone from the meeting room, Ha'zi followed his connection to Sigeric to see just where his Guardian comrade had fled to.

"Thought so,"
he smugly said, revealing a smirk, though he tried to not have either happen too loudly or significantly in case Shin were to notice.

Sigeric walked alongside Daugo, silent until they had walked far enough that he was certain no one was in earshot. He had a thoughtful look in his eyes, and it was clear than many conflicting ideas were weighing on him. "What happened back there was relatively simple. I lost control of my powers, which led me to gain control of new ones. I cannot claim to know how exactly it happened, but I found myself able to give others commands that they would be forced to follow, willingly or otherwise. Overall, it could have been much worse. It did contribute to the Executioner's capture, and halted the chaos created by the stampede of civilians. Of course, you're probably wondering about why you could not breathe. That was an oversight. A mistake of the kind that I will not make twice." He paused, allowing Daugo to speak if he had anything to say to this.

Iver screeched very loudly in confusion about his new form. Was it something Shiva did? Was it because of the blood he drank? Once again he was left with no answers and only a giant ball that is about to fall-. Iver quickly caught the sun, it looked like imprisoned flames that tried to get out.
Watching the valar Iver saw that only melkor remained and without a scratch. He would proceed to roll the sun towards where he left Teli as he realized that Dimitri moved him away. With that, he started rolling the sun towards Dimitri's new location, making sure that it wouldn't fall off the sky.

Mirecyla smirked and left the body, leaving the knife inside the eye, ‘‘twas a shame he didn’t die but it was a much needed sacrifice, hearing the bootstraps coming from the right entrance she would go to press herself against the cell walls. Making herself be as small as possible which shouldn’t be hard for her, however she also attempted to fully absorb the fear of darkness that was in the dying mans head, she didn’t care how small of a fear it was but she tried to cloak herself with said darkness

Daugo mulled on that information for a few seconds. "Shit, Sigeric, you're telling me you can override people's minds?" He did not like that thought at all, though he had had his suspicions.

The footsteps grew louder and louder, until a group of seven men arrived, flooding the space with the light of the torches they carried. There was a dirty white tree embroidered into their overcoats, but their uniforms looked shoddy and fit only for the lowliest of ranks.

"Har! Told ya he couldn't've got that far!" said one of the men, seeing Apahtul's writhing body on the floor.
"Fuck, I 'spected more from him. Oh well!" said another, who had an aura of petty leadership around him. He beckoned one of his companions, who promptly stabbed Apahtul, killing him instantly. Silence filled the tunnel. Only then did they notice the hiding Mirecyla.

"Oi, sergeant, I think the mystry's solved!"
"What mystry?" A man pointed towards her, and the sergeant finally saw her. "Ah!" he said, with a dangerous gleam in his eyes that reminded Mirecyla of certain past traumas. "What d'we have here?" he said, gesturing for two of his men to go and apprehend her.

“Death.” She said with a wicked gleam in her eyes. As soon as they stepped to her she unleashed her power, targeting all seven of them, only then did she rush forward and start to slit throats and stabbed them full of rage. She wouldn’t let anyone dominate her again, especially these runts...
