VENTURES INTO THE REMOTE (RP)

((16311516 That post is a tad bit powergamey cause of teleporting between the quarterdeck-armory-upperdeck but since this is the last day for RP before we pause I'll allow it.))

Dimitri's hand swatted the slaver and the next thing he knew Iver had jumped onto him like a leaping ferret, clawing his face and grasping his knife hand. Dimitri had a chance to finish him off with his own weapon at that moment whilst Iver distracted him.

The slaver with the saber behind Dimitri raised his blade to slay the one-armed man. Before he could bring it down he heard the thumping of a beast and a legendary axe swipes through the stormy air, slicing the slaver horizontally in half. The body fell apart in two pieces, blood splattering the quarterdeck and being shafted off the ship with each wave that hit it. Grimnir was victorious. The dwarf saw something move out of the corner of his eyes and to his left beneath a tarp. Someone was there. Someone small. Was it the hobbit? Friend or foe?

The upperdeck was manned by a single slaver, who desperately tried to keep the ship afloat. They were headed for that distant piece of land and from the looks of it the other slave ships were too. But the storm was worsening, even further, the waves swatting the ship around like a fly. How much more could the vessel take, the man wondered, hearing the belated sounds of his allies fighting on the quarterdeck. It did not matter if the slaves killed him, he realized, where the ship was heading none of them could survive, and that was if they didn't drown.

------------------------------

Deslan was left by the hatch-area during this time and one slave found him, giving him both his toolkit and leg piece. The female slave said one word, "Sigeric." Before dashing off back towards the gallery. Deslan was whole. Also, Margoz was just sitting around the entire time, for some reason. 6427581 16191695

-------------------------------

Elodrin found himself in the gallery where Sigeric was rallying the majority of the slaves. They had taken some casualties but had claimed control of the gallery. The lower decks were, supposedly, where the remaining slavers were and were being blockaded by Sigeric along with four others holding spears and tridents to hold off anyone who dared emerge from the lower deck and climbed the staircase up. Elodrin had a choice, he could charge the lowerdecks, unknowing of what was down there or coordinate with Sigeric to secure it by diplomatic means or an all-out strike. The Gondorian slaves including Dean and five others and were among the more toughened of the slaves. Would he use them for an assault or wait the slavers out with Sigeric?

Just then- something stirred from the lowerdecks, there was movement and one slaver appeared, the same one from before, he seemed to be stricken with fear and ran up the barricades bearing no weapons. His face not even masking the horrified stare it had and he screamed at the slaves, "LET ME UP, THERE'S SOMETHING DOWN HERE. THEY'RE ALL DEAD." He begged. Sigeric and Elodrin both heard this, what would they do? -----------------------------------------

The Captain's body convulsed and twitched horrifically as blood erupted from his jugular, splattering Daugo's face and peasant tunic. The man awoke for the briefest of moments, shocked, staring into the hobbit's eyes before closing his and coming to a stop. He was dead. He seemed to have accepted it more than fight it. This decision. This murder. It would forever shape Daugo. His hands were tainted with the Captain's blood and the sharktooth dagger seemed supernaturally eerie in the red glow of the torchlights. What would Daugo do now? 13527980

Deslan quickly locked the leg to his stump of a leg and stood up. He dug into the toolkit and found one of the arms he used for Dimitri, then he ticked a lever in its insides and a blade with handle was produced, rotating into the arm's hand. He pushed another button on the handle, and the blade detached, ending up in his hand. He darted off in the slave's direction. While looking for the slaves, he kept shouting ''Let's prepare the rowboats, we'll get off when we're close enough to land that the storm doesn't wash us away!''.

((Aw man, I'm gonna be gone for much of the day))
Daugo began shuddering violently. His knees buckled, and he landed by the bed, covered in blood, wishing none of this had happened; the Pony, the Bob, the slaver ship... Weariness overtook him, and he lay there for awhile.

"For the West!" Dimitri shouts. He brings his plank up above his head, and brings it swiftly down on the slaver's head, careful not to hit Iver.

With the slaver down Iver got of Dim and stood up. "Do you mind not killing the guy on the wheel? im Grabbing a weapon and getting right back". He went to the armoury to grab a helmet, boots, shield, spear and a crossbow.
((cap is there enough cotton thingy for everyone or just for one person?))

After searching, Deslan found that there was a single rowboat. Only able to seat seven people. 6427581

---------------------------

The storm raged outside around Daugo. Would he fall asleep to the violent jarring of the ship or locate his friends? 13527980

---------------------

With the slaver knocked out, Dimitri and Iver as well as Grimmir had taken care of the slavers on the quarterdeck. Now for the last one at the wheel on the upperdeck. Thoruk and three slaves showed up to give them support in the fight for the ship. Would Dimitri proceed with taking the wheel and slaying the defenseless man or wait for Iver? 8861015 13615485 16311516 14628767 ((There's enough for three people.))

Holding his halberd in one hand, Sigeric used the other to grab the slaver by the throat and pin him against the wall.
"What is down there?" he asked menacingly. His rational mind insisted that this was merely a ploy, but he saw an unfathomable fear in the man's eyes.

"Before i go, look at those creates and take some ofr yourselves" He says and point at the creates before running to the armoury and grabbing one for seg.
8861015

"Thoruk, I want that man kept alive. He's the only thing between us and death." Dimitri says. He goes and searches for Deslan. Perhaps he had his arm? If he couldn't find him, he rushes to the armory and looks around for his warhammer.

The slaves didn't know what to do with the tarp of cotton. They just took it and stored it in the gallery area which was becoming the defacto base of operations for them.

Dimitri would find Deslan ordering some slaves about around a rowboat. To him, he could deduce what was going on or at the least, what Deslan's intentions were.

-----------

"A-a monster. It attacked and ate ol' Ram. It crept onboard while we were sleeping and tore a hole in the hull! The ship is sinking!" The man blurted out, spitting wildly as he said this to Sigeric.

Then a wild cry from below, a scream and a thud, then silence. If Sigeric listened closely he could hear splashing coming from the lower deck sleeping quarters.

"Please, let me up. Kill me. Don't put me back down there. Anything." The slaver begged him after hearing the inhumane screams. 1251945815756962

Dimitri takes an arm (or his old one if Deslan has it) and with a click, puts it back on. He moves the fingers to make sure everything works, and says, "You are quite the blacksmith, Deslan. Three months and its still flawless." After that, he goes down to the armory and finds his warhammer. "Now we are back in business." Fatebreaker's familiar weight was reassuring, and memories of countless brawls and skirmishes flooded back. "Come on, folks, we've got to get out of here!"

Sigeric recalled the dark shape in the water. And now the screams... Could this slaver be telling the truth? He saw Dimitri near the armory close by, with his metal arm and hammer restored. "Dimitri! There's something belowdeck and the ship may be sinking. We need to gain control of the helm and head for land immediately! How many lifeboats do we have?" He loosened his grip, letting the slaver fall to the ground. Should he kill him? No doubt all of the slavers on this ship deserved death for their crimes, but he hesitated to kill an unarmed man.

After taking stuff from the armoury Iver got to sig and gave him his cotton trap. "Use this as a clothing he said and gave it to him". He then gave the last one to Deslen 12519458 6427581

"Aye, gotcha Dimitri" Thoruk says as he walks up together with the three other slaves besides him. "Let's give these buggers what they deserve lads!" he shouts as they go up to clear out the upperdeck.
((Sry for not writing))

"Th-the Whipper?" The man seemed confused before he realized, "You mean Habralis? He-he ran with a few of th-the others and-" he gulped, "stole the rowboats." That explained why Deslan had only found one left behind. But even then, using rowboats in a storm of this magnitude? That was suicide.
The slaver stares desperately at Dimitri, "Please, I-I'll tell you everything, just take me with you, ple-please."
Behind the slaver both Dimitri and Sigeric could see that the lowerdecks were indeed flooded, the staircase leading to them had started to flood. The water levels increasing and claiming each step in its everlasting conquest to consume. The ship should have sunk at this point. It was a miracle they were still afloat. Sigeric, Dimitri, Elodrin and Iver were all in the gallery witnessing this. 12519458 8861015 14628767 15756962

--------------

Meanwhile, Thoruk and his slave squad found that the upperdeck was manned by a single slaver, attempting to steer the ship to the shore. The man was struggling and if he turned to face the bow of the ship he could see they were sailing headfirst into a beach. It was 20 meters from them and closing but not fast enough. The ship was slowing for some reason and Thoruk could see that sea was rising on both sides...or was it that the ship was sinking? Grimnir could also witness this and Celeste crawled out from beneath a tarp, joining the dwarves. 13615485 16311516

-------------

The rowboat had been readied as well as it could have been. Seven people could be fit on it, ten by a stretch but it might sink under any more weight. Especially metal arms. Deslan and his group of four slaves saw something near the land, they were the closest to the bow and had the best vision from that point. There was something in the distance, near the beach, something humungous. It was like a dark shadow in the stormy night, only visible by the fact that its shape was so obscenely gigantic. It seemed humanoid in form but other than that nothing more could be discerned. Both Deslan and Margoz could witness it standing on the shores before moving away, further inland, and disappearing out of his sight. ----------

The hobbit felt the ship tremble and a thunderous boom awoke him from the bloody bed. 13527980

((To all: roleplay shall be closing within less than 3 hours.))

"Scum, if you want to live, help us to get the boat to the land" Iver said as he went to replace the slaver at the wheel. "you, ugly face, ill navigate from here. I dont know your boat so you deal with the sails" He said to the slaver who held the wheel.

The man surrenders his position to Iver and hurried to manage the sails which had been abandoned and left in disrepair. 14628767

Margoz would keep watch on the shores, "something is watching us," he warns as he looks towards that area.

"So he can watch us drowning if you will not help that slaver to deal with the sails" Iver shout the easterling while he mummbled something about being watched. "We are never gonna make to to shore if you guys aint gonna help" Iver shout at every slave that was on the deck.
